The word "effective" is nowhere in the target article, so thus it is unclear why these terms redirect to Cash. Steel1943 (talk) 21:12, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Brazil v Germany (2014 FIFA World Cup). Reasonable arguments on both sides, but this RFD has gone on long enough, and the majority (not a vote I know) is just about in favour of this outcome (6 supporting a retarget, 3 supporting a delete, 1 supporting a disambiguation, 1 supporting delete or disambiguate. Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

Proposing to retarget to Brazil v Germany (2014 FIFA World Cup). It has been several years since that match, and I still see references to "7-1", which makes me believe that the match is the primary usage of the term. I'm hard-pressed to find usage of 7.1 surround sound as "7-1", although I can see why it was created as an error redirect. -- Tavix (talk) 18:17, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First, I don't see how 7-1 (football match) is a "more plausible search term" than 7-1. Second, 7-1 doesn't interfere with 7.1, they are different characters. -- Tavix (talk) 18:39, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible search term per WP:CREDENTIAL. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:58, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it should only be applied if it's listed as such regularly in media. I'll go ahead and strike that since the news articles presented do not call Nirmala that. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:05, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Shhhnotsoloud, that it exists is not an argument for keeping it – it is because it exists that I have nominated it for deletion. We might want to widen the scope of this discussion to all such redirects. I notice that we don't have (m)any comparable redirects to the names of ordinary people prefaced with "Mr.".
