deletion because a red link is needed for remineralize the earth so that a new article can detail the work undertaken by this non-profit organization. Mfbx5sf62 (talk) 23:10, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Simply click edit on the redirect to make an article directly (maybe even WP:BOLDly copy/paste split the section saying where the content came from to start)
  2. Start a draft at Draft:Remineralize the Earth, and once the page is ready, either submit through WP:AfC (preferred for new editors), or request a move to overwrite the redirect at WP:RM/TR

The result of the discussion was uncontroversial retarget to WYSIWYG. This was the target before a vandal vandalised it. This was also closed and reopened by me, but there hasn't been any more discussion in the past five hours. I'll assume this is uncontroversial. Doesn't seem like a citable or a commonly-used misnomer for the target. Likelihood offers her using the extra word at the end is next to none. Steel1943 (talk) 21:14, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A Google search does not seem to indicate that this is a common term, or that it is used exclusively for diarrhea. I don't think I've known anyone who owned a cat; quite the reverse. Dogs have owners, cats have staff. Narky Blert (talk) 13:46, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target, no hits on Google Scholar. The spelling suggests that it could be a German term, but there's no entry on deWiki either. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 21:37, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@3125A: It's probably not a good idea for someone who has a problematic line-stretching signature to tell someone to "use your signature correctly". To answer the "Who is this?" question, that can be answered by looking at the page history. The edit was made by Caliniuc at 13:38, 13 May 2020. Using ((unsigned)) would be a better way to resolve the issue, which I am applying with this edit to show how it's done. -- Tavix (talk) 15:59, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Murder of George Floyd

The result of the discussion was withdrawn. When this was nominated, this seemed like an implausible redirect. However, the situation has changed, and the police officer has been charged for murder. There has been an unusually large amount of discussion, probably because many people were led here due to this being such a popular destination. However, all the delete arguments are now outdated, and there is a clear consensus to keep. (non-admin closure) CrazyBoy826 17:06, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

George Floyd was not murdered. CrazyBoy826 15:54, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Could the people who want the redirect kept address the libel concern? Jim Michael (talk) 14:00, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure we'd have to literally include text in the article, in wikivoice saying "Officer XYZ murdered George Floyd" for a libel charge to even begin to be plausible, and even then I think we'd still be on pretty decent legal footing given the amount and tenor of coverage related to this issue. signed, Rosguill talk 18:31, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was disambiguate -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:32, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Spitzmauskc proposed this redirect for deletion with the following rationale. Misleading redirect to PK-35 Vantaa, implying that any instance of “PK-35” is a specific reference to that club. “PK-35” is most commonly used when referring to the independent football club of that name based in Helsinki, whereas the name “PK-35 Vantaa” is most commonly used when referring to the independent football club based in Vantaa, Finland. Both clubs field teams in the Kansallinen Liiga and the common forms of their names can be seen in use here: https://www.palloliitto.fi/ottelut-ja-sarjat/kansallinen-liiga/kansallinen-liiga-info (in Finnish). signed, Rosguill talk 06:54, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can establish, the term "Lettic Germans" doesn't exist in English, so doesn't constitute a plausible search term Ingratis (talk) 03:06, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ingratis: the analogue is Estonian Germans, which is a redirect at the moment. Maybe both should be deleted. Compare eg Estonian diaspora in Germany (et:Saksamaa eestlased)--Estopedist1 (talk) 11:07, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Estopedist1: - Apologies - I've not made myself clear. The problem I'm having is not with the concept, but specifically with the word "Lettic". If what is intended here is "ethnic Germans in Latvia", it needs to be "Latvian Germans" (or in theory "Lettonian Germans", or if you want to be really old-fashioned, "Lettish Germans"). "Lettic" is a really rare word and in practice seems to apply almost exclusively to linguistics (whatever Wiktionary may say). The reason why I don't see any point in it as a redirect is that it's so unlikely as a search term. Ingratis (talk) 11:42, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
