Please include a link to the Japanese Wikipedia article if one exists, otherwise include the item's kanji name if possible.
Items less than about six months to a year old are usually too new to judge notability, and requests should be deferred for a reasonable period of time.
Please provide some context for the request - most important is the type of item (manga or anime series, magazine, etc.). For manga and anime series, the name of the author/director and publisher/production studio are also quite important. Additional details you can provide include the series' length, any adaptations, and licensors, and you can also link to pages on Anime News Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com) or other reliable websites listed here - the more details you provide, the easier it will be to review and possibly fulfill your request.
Lastly, your requested article will much more likely be created if you provide enough reliable sources to show that the topic will pass the general notability guidelines. The article may also meet specific notability guidelines, such as WP:BK for manga series, WP:FILM for films, or WP:BIO for mangaka. The reference libraries may be able to help with this.
A few notes for request reviewers:
Please create appropriate redirects for any articles you create.
Please remove the requested article from this page once it's been created, and link to the created article in the edit summary.
If a request already exists under another title and the requested title is not an appropriate redirect, the request should be removed.
Requests for character or fictional element (planets, mecha, etc.) articles should be removed. Driven reviewers may like to post a note at relevant series talk pages.
Editors reviewing the requests should update the list when they refuse a request. Further instructions can be found on the archive page.
Requests listed there are not dead, since a previously nonnotable item can gain notability through a variety of means. Reviewers should periodically check for new coverage on previously refused items.

ASCII Comics. Need clarification. If related to ASCII Media Works then just extend the article. If related to ASCII art then this is not within our animanga project scope.
I think this is one of the articles that Nihonjoe is planning to make at some point in the future. It seems to me it could be referring to comics (or manga) made entirely out of ASCII art? --Malkinann (talk) 10:20, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon Ball Z Kai This is a more condensed version of the Dragon Ball Z anime. It ran from April 2009 to March 2011 and again from April 2014 to June 2015, in Japan. In the United States, the first part, which is episodes 1 to 98 aired on Nicktoons, The CW’s Toonzai and Vortexx blocks, and Adult Swim’s Toonami block from November 2014 to December 2016. The second part, mostly known as the Majin Buu Saga or officially Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters, contains episodes 99 to 159 (Japan) or 167 (International release) and aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami block from January 2017 to June 2018. It cuts out most of the filler content that was in the original Dragon Ball Z.
