Aliabad (Persian: علي آباد), also Romanized as ‘Alīābād; also known as ‘Alīābād Shīlān,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Naran Rural District of the Central District of Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran. The capital was transferred from the village of Anguzhan.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 126 in 28 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 126 people in 34 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 108 people in 31 households.[2]
