Asinovsky District (Russian: А́синовский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the sixteen in Tomsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 5,943.3 square kilometers (2,294.7 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Asino.[1] Population: 36,459 (2010 Census);[2] 12,911 (2002 Census);[6] 16,222 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Asino accounts for 70.3% of the district's total population.[2]
