Banaft Rural District (Persian: دهستان بنافت)[3] is in Dodangeh District of Sari County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Sang Deh.[5]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,209 in 901 households.[6] There were 2,979 inhabitants in 963 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,759 in 1,000 households. The largest of its 11 villages was Sang Deh, with 1,227 people.[2]
