Farim Rural District (Persian: دهستان فريم)[3] is in Dodangeh District of Sari County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4] It is administered from the city of Farim[5] (formerly the village of Mohammadabad).[6]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 4,751 in 1,410 households.[7] There were 4,454 inhabitants in 1,501 households at the following census of 2011.[8] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,525 in 1,743 households. The most populous of its 47 villages was Maji, with 279 people.[2]
