Kusalan Rural District (Persian: دهستان كوسالان),[3] formerly Sarvabad Rural District (دهستان سروآباد),[4] is in the Central District of Sarvabad County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[5] Its capital is the village of Qaleh Ji.[6]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 10,022 in 2,240 households.[7] There were 9,183 inhabitants in 2,379 households at the following census of 2011.[8] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 8,244 in 2,416 households. The most populous of its 14 villages was Daraki, with 1,540 people.[2]
