Wehwalt I just found that the Royal Canadian Mint is selling Apollo 11 50th Anniversary set containing an proof Apollo 11 silver dollar inserted into a commemorative silver bullion bar. Do you think this deserves to be mentioned in the article? - ZLEAT\C19:42, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you may want to consider changing the title of the article to clarify that it's about the US coins, as other countries are also issuing coins to commemorate the anniversary. - ZLEAT\C19:46, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'll add something. Surprising this hasn't generated anything in the numismatic press. As for the name what would you suggest?--Wehwalt (talk) 19:51, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As for the numismatic press, the Canada is known for its seemingly endless variety of commemorative coins, much like the US in the 1930s. It looks like the press lost interest in most Canadian commemorative coinage a long time ago. As this is a US coin being resold in a different package, I doubt it will receive much attention. - ZLEAT\C20:18, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Wehwalt I think the way prices are recorded in this section might be a bit confusing for some readers. If possible, I would list both the initial and standard prices in the table, with the standard price of the gold coin being both the highest and lowest prices or its average price throughout the year. This would give readers a better idea of what the actual price of the coins were, not just what they were in the first few weeks. Your thoughts? - ZLEAT\C21:34, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Support. If the Canadian / Australian coins aren't notable enough for an article, then no disambiguation is needed, especially since this article seems to cover them briefly anyway. SnowFire (talk) 19:43, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think there are two options, either of which I'm fine with. First, there's the proposed move. The second option would be to turn Apollo 11 50th Anniversary commemorative coins into a disambiguation page that lists the American/Australian/Spanish coins. The latter two don't seem to be in any danger of having their own articles any time soon, judging by the state of their countries' articles on commemorative coins (Australia; Spain). But given that every American commemorative coin seems to be deemed notable enough for an article, someone interested in those two issues could probably make a similar argument. N.B. if the first option is chosen, it may make sense to wait until after the FAC is finished. --Usernameunique (talk) 08:06, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2019 Apollo 11 Clad Commemorative Half Dollar Proof w/24K Gold & Black Ruthenium
I'm wondering if this is a replica coin of the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary commemorative coins or a non-circulated coin that is now sold. Is this not worth adding to this page? I just bought one and it's really a good quality looking coin even if not from the original issue. The description lists this as "The U.S. Mint is limiting this release to a combination of just 750,000 proof and uncirculated coins."
750,000 is the limit on mintage of half dollars overall, which wasn't met. You have a very handsome piece there, but it looks to have been painted/plated post issue. Unless it got some press coverage, I don't think we should add it.--Wehwalt (talk) 21:34, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
