In order to keep up with the constant flood of information, CNN, which was the first network to break the news of the 9/11 attacks, began running continuous updates in the form of a news ticker that crawled along the bottom of the screen. This was so well received by viewers that it became a permanent feature on CNN and was adopted by most other news channels.
the page at News_ticker claims that FOXnews was the first to add one:
Needing a way to provide a continuous stream of vital but repetitive emergency information to viewers, Fox News Channel placed a ticker on-screen at 10:49 a.m. CNN launched its own ticker at 11:11 a.m., and MSNBC started one at approximately 2:00 p.m. Although the ne

The Coup had to change the cover of one of their albums, because it depicted an exploding World Trade Center. See the link mentioned ([3]). This should probably be mentioned in List of entertainment affected by the September 11 attacks, it got quite a bit of media attention. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 19:57, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
Though citation needed tags have had to be added to many of the claims in the article, most of them are probably true and based on things like DVD commentaries.
One that stood out to be though is:
2000's The Watcher had its opening scene digitally altered to show 'The Freedom Tower' where the Twin Towers were originally depicted.
But why would a film made and set 20 years ago re-edit its opening scene over 15 years later to insert a building from the future? Either the person who wrote this is thinking of another movie or explained this incorrectly. I will try to find out more. I could have just deleted it but added some tags for now just in case. I did check Google, IMDB, and the article page of the movie and can't find anymore about this. Unless someone has access to its commentary or special features or something? List of entertainment affected by the September 11 attacks → List of media affected by the September 11 attacks – Media seems a better name than Entertainment and seems to be WP:PRECISE. GabrielPenn4223 (talk) 22:37, 12 February 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 01:59, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
