"was an American, Washington-based, syndicated political columnist who, for many years," - was an American journalist and syndicated political columnist based in Washington, D.C.
"Then she covered the White House reporting full-time and was the first female reporter that did this." - reported full-time at the White House and was the first female reporter to do this.
"She was valedictorian from her 1952 high school and work as a secretary for the superintendent of the local schools. She died at 92 in 1996." this bit is rather confusing and could benefit from some rewording ... such as specifying that "Means was valedictorian of" so that one doesn't misunderstand. When I read it, because of the death date, I thought her mother was still the subject. Unless there's a typo (graduation date should be 1925) and it really is about her mother? Nonetheless, changing "from" to "of" would still be necessary, as would changing "work" to "worked", and specifying that the person who died in 1996 was her mother. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cmissy (talk • contribs) 15:50, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"She was the daughter of Ernest Maynard Hansen and Else Marie Johanne (Andersen) Hansen." - any more details on her parents?
"Means was associated with the National Press Foundation, International Women's Media Foundation, White House Correspondents' Association, National Press Club, Cosmos Club, Gridiron Club (president), Delta Delta Delta, Sigma Delta Chi, and Phi Beta Kappa" - more uses of the word "the" where appropriate should be used in this portion of text
Reference 11 title "900 FAMOUS NEBRASKANS – Nationally Distinguished Nebraskans: A Brief Bio-Bibliography of 900 Individuals" - avoid using all capital letters per MOS:ALLCAPS
Reference 13 "Marianne Means" is missing the access date and the archive date formatting is inconsistent with the rest of the formatting of the other citations
Reference 18's "Warren Weaver of The Times, Long a Political Reporter, 74" work should be "The New York Times" and the page number is missing from the citation formatting
