Someone who is fluent in both German and English has to go through this and translate it better. The spelling and grammar is terrible, and I couldn't even figure out what some of the sentences are trying to say. Spylab16:38, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There was a much better version of the article in November 2009, but the current edition is very poor; I don';t know why the anon IP address prefers it.--Wtshymanski (talk) 16:44, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I may have unjustly maligned mechanical translation. Google Translate actually produces better-looking text that is currently here (still freaky, but not as freaky). --Wtshymanski (talk) 16:58, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If I get chance I'll take a look at it in more detail soon, I'm a native speaker of english and my german is pretty fluent. GiftigerWunsch[TALK]20:52, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There may be some things worth salvaging from that text, although I think it would be important to separate the history of the current structure from any structures that formerly occupied this site. It would also be necessary to keep the history of the building and the history of the football club separate. --Wtshymanski (talk) 21:41, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Out of interest, what/where is this German text that the whole conflict has been about? Was this a machine-translation of the german wikipedia's article or something? GiftigerWunsch[TALK]21:44, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(outdent) I thought it was a Google translation of the de. Wikipedia, but it's not - a Google translation of that article doesn't mention "Englisch football", unsuccessful architects, naked legs, or Hitler's in-laws. No idea where it's come from, but it's not English as she is goodly spoke. --Wtshymanski (talk) 00:53, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Dynamo Dresden has played versus SC Paderborn in the 2nd Fußball-Bundesliga on the 5th March 2006 (winning 0:2 in Paderborn). Which riots are meant? Maybe the riots on the 4th November 2006 at the game in Dresden against Union Berlin? I do not remember some notificable riots even at this game. Last rumbling has happened at a game versus Hertha BSC Berlin II. in Berlin. Geo-Loge 00:36, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why not take an image that shows the stadium as suggested in older revisions? Is there any reason not to take an image that illustrates the stadium instead of crowds?
Also on the topic of images, I don't see the point of having a drawing of a planned new stadium. This article is about a stadium that already exists, so all images and information should focus on that. Spylab18:01, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wasn't this particular stadion the actual aiming point, marked by the green and red 1,000-lbs-targetmarkers by the 627th Pathfinder Squadron? It seems to me that it was this particular stadion in the Ostragehege, that the 627th was aiming on. As far as I know, they placed the target markers with great accuracy on the stadion yard.--84.163.94.120 14:29, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think the article needs to be split into two sections, one concerning the old Harbig-Stadion which was demolished completely, and one concerning the new stadium. Ideas, opinions, anything? This spilt would entail two infoboxes. Maybe it would be sensible to do an overall split, such as with Wembley Stadium (1923) and Wembley Stadium. Madcynic (talk) 11:32, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been altered significantly enough and sufficient sources added that this copyright query can be closed.
Page is flooded with misinformation. I suggest that it be replaced by a translation of the German Wikipedia page, which is clean and correct and has not been subjected to vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.85.67.1 (talk • contribs)
I believe the page has been altered enough to remove this tag. The machine-translated content has been removed, and in general the current content seems to be taken from multiple sources. Jhortman (talk) 13:54, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is truly terrible. It reads like a machine translation, which is not allowed. Would anyone object if I rolled this back to the August 2010 version then tried to bring it up to date with any recent changes? --Wtshymanski (talk) 15:52, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm confused. Is the building standing today substantially the same as the building in 2006? 1951? 1911? 1874? If the '51 stadium was demolished, perhaps its history could be kept under the old name. --Wtshymanski (talk) 14:08, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Jac16888 and I have both worked on this issue, and I believe that it is mostly resolved. Blusts and an IP user have been trying to re-add machine-translated content without explaining why, but it seems like those edits get reverted pretty quickly. Jhortman (talk) 13:48, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Stadion Dresden. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add ((cbignore)) after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add ((nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot)) to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
