You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the ((Ctopics/aware)) template.

An article you recently created, 2023 Judo Grand Slam Astana, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 10:23, 19 April 2023 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from 2022 Judo Grand Prix Almada. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Please do not remove maintenance templates without addressing the issue(s). This article relies excessively on primary sources. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 18:55, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
Primary sources are original materials that are close to an event, and are often accounts written by people who are directly involved. They offer an insider's view of an event, a period of history, a work of art, a political decision, and so on.... Not specifically relevant to JudoInside.com, the source in question. CLalgo (talk) 19:04, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at User:Sportsfan 1234. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:02, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

Lewolka (talk) 10:19, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I appreciate the back and forth we had in the RfD discussion about individual events redirecting to Judo at the 2021 Summer World University Games. You explained your side, cited relevant examples, made a good argument, and kept calm. Even though I may not agree, I see your side, and I don't think either one of us is necessarily wrong. I respect how you conducted yourself and I wish all my disagreements went the same way as ours. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:24, 2 August 2023 (UTC) |

Hello. In a recent edit you added/restored content to a sports-bio article which described its subject as an "accomplished [athlete]", with "remarkable achievements", undertaking "impressive feat[s]", as "a rising star", of "remarkable skill" and "prowess", whose bronze medal placing was "remarkable", making the subject "a force to be reckoned with on the international stage". Given that this type of flowery editorial, promotional tone and inappropriate puffery is counter to my understanding of any number of policies and norms, I have removed it again. If you disagree with this removal and feel this kind of editorial is appropriate, rather than reverting to restore it again, please take it to the relevant article talk page. I was noticing that you had spent time editing this draft but because you were not the draft creator, you would not have been notified that it's due to be deleted, CSD G13, in a few hours. Thanks for your contributions to 2023 European Judo Championships – Women's +78 kg. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it may be too soon to create this article. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 05:27, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi, you made some edits to templates I created for Asian Games champions, I mean those in this category, at the time I was busy with other things and had no time for a long discussion, instead I stopped creating more templates until that future discussion which I think can happen now. while I like some parts of your edits, I disagree with some of them, first I understand your point about making them similar to Pan-Am Games templates but Asian Games is a big event with lots of sports with Judo as just one of them. I really like to make all templates in this category look alike, so I think being an Asian Games event stays above of being a Judo event. I could edit the templates but I thought it's better to talk about our little disagreement first, thanks. Sports2021 (talk) 01:33, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
My point is: I thank you for stating this discussion that could lead to a productive resolution, uniforming all continental championships/games templates (or even just Asian ones). I do think this discussion is of a broader scope than my personal talk page and that such a consistent format doesn't currently exists. CLalgo (talk) 07:16, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add ((NoACEMM))
