I have been a bit busy with college stuff but have read about 150 of the book's pages, there is some nice stuff about the possible evolution line of the parrot and quite a bit on conservation efforts, I will try to summarize those in a subpage by sunday. Check out the range map on Sumatran Rhinoceros. If you drag your mouse over the dark orange dots where the rhino currently lives, it shows you the name of the region and if you click, it will take you to the article about that region. (←) To be honest, guys, I have doubts I'd be good for the role. Even today at Malleus's RFA I flew off the handle a bit and am racked with guilt about it. I meant what I said, but I lost my cool. To be honest, I get so frustrated with some of the things here on Wikipedia. The incivility, the politicking, the lawyering, all the... distractions. And I'd be a hypocrite to not recognize that I've sunk to it all as well: played along with factions when it was expedient, made statements I knew would be withering, stuck around for the last word, played semantic games... I am too guilty and too flawed to run. And I'm happiest just sitting at my computer with a book about hippos or rhinos or Zelda Fitzgerald or whatever it is, and just sharing knowledge. That's what I'm here for. Cas, have you ever looked at the oldest deleted revision of my user page? I signed up for Wikipedia because I knew Calvin Coolidge had a pet hippo, but it wasn't mentioned anywhere. And I imagined some version of myself, 10 years younger, reading about this stupid hippo and just becoming fascinated. I forget why I came here way too often as it is; if I were an admin I'd forget it even more. --JayHenry (talk) 04:43, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello again. I noticed on my watchlist that someone moved the nuthatch article to nuthatch (bird) with a note saying that it needed a disambig page. However, the one provided seems very iffy to me, with the other two being a nickname for an insane alsylum and a "vulgar term for the male testes". The user is a new one and there was no discussion on the talk page. Would you take a look at it? IMHO it should be moved back to nuthatch, but this is not exactly my area of expertise. Thanks. I've recently started writing some requested articles. I would like for a good "writing admin" (I've been around anonymously long enough to know there's a difference between "writing admins" and "non-writing admins.") to take a look at what I've done so far. You were recommended by Acalamari as a good writer.
The articles I've created have been from clicking on the "recent changes" link, and writing on the redlinks. I'd just like some feedback regarding how I'm doing so far. I'd like feedback from you as an experienced article-writing administrator, if possible. I don't want to be getting the things I create deleted, if I can keep from it. Best, S. Thank you for you work as a peer review volunteer. Since March, there has been a concerted effort to make sure all peer review requests get some response. Requests that have gone three days or longer without a substantial response are listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog. I have three requests to help this continue.
1) If you are asked to do a peer review, please ask the person who made the request to also do a review, preferably of a request that has not yet had feedback. This is fairly simple, but helps. For example when I review requests on the backlog list, I close with Hope this helps. If my comments are useful, please consider peer reviewing an article, especially one at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog (which is how I found this article). Yours, ...
2) While there are several people who help with the backlog, lately I have been doing up to 3 or 4 peer reviews a day and can not keep this up much longer. We need help. Since there are now well over 100 names on the PR volunteers page, if each volunteer reviewed just one PR request without a response from the list each month, it would easily take care of the "no response" backlog. To help spread out the load, I suggest those willing pick a day of the month and do a review that day (for example, my first edit was on the 8th, so I could pick the 8th). Please pick a peer review request with no responses yet, if possible off the backlog list. If you want, leave a note on my talk page as to which day you picked and I will remind you each month.
3) I have made some proposals to add some limits to peer review requests at Wikipedia_talk:Peer_review#Proposed_limits. The idea is to prevent any one user from overly burdening the process. These seem fairly reasonable (one PR request per editor per day, only four total PR requests per editor at a time, PR requests with cleanup banners can be delisted (like GAN quick fail), and wait two weeks to relist a PR request after it is archived), but have gotten no feedback in one week. If you have any thoughts on these, please weigh in.
Thanks again for your help and in advance for any assistance with the backlog. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 21:14, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Not really, sometimes the browser's Back button works if one wants to quick-fix a recent edit, sometimes the DB already has updated (as in this case).
I had checked it in the meantime, and like I suspected, the word comes ultimately from virus. And given that A. virosa has a mild mustardy smell which is actually quite nice, it woud be the toxicity rather than the smell that made Fries choose the name. (I have not seen virosa/-us/-um epithets in any other meaning than "poisonous" anyway; it's at least very rare. pungens, foetens, malodoratus etc are usually the epithets of choice to denote bad smell of some taxon).
It's very unfortunate that the taxonomy database of phtiraptera.org is broken at present. If you don't know it, keep your fingers crossed that it comes back online soon and check it out... I'm currently grinding my teeth over Eurynorhynchus, because the closest guess I presently can hazard is eurynous + rhynchos, which simply does not make sense ("good-minded/spirited beak"?!). Perhaps it's a lapsus and Nilsson really meant Eurhynorhynchus; IONO. Dysmorodrepanis (talk) 12:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello. The only Catalan government source I've been able to find ([4]) lists it as poisonous but edible, and mentions no ban on its commercialisation. On the other hand, this Boletín Oficial del Estado (legislation) of the Spanish government lists G. esculenta as one of many fungi species the commercialisation of which is "forbidden or restricted". This means that they cannot be sold for direct consumption, but they can be sold to produce pharmaceutical products, magistral formulae, officinal preparations, or for research.

I am not a practicing MD so I am curious. Would it not be a preferable course to add a hypnotic (zaleplon or zopiclone) to manage the SSRI-caused insomnia rather than switch to a new antidepressant? As for the patients originally presenting with depression with anxiety, SSRIs work fine, too. Besides, I remember reading somewhere that the hypnotic effect of mirtazapine does not last beyond 2-3 weeks. That is not to say that mirtazapine should not be mentioned but it is 11th in the US, below the outright harmful duloxetine. The question I would like to ask you - does mirtazapine really present a valid therapeutic choice, as first or at least as a second line treatment? If you do not mind, I would also like to take out the mechanism of action of mirtazapine out of the MDD article completely. I see the Medication part as focusing entirely on the practical sides of the most popular medications - the briefest overview, for those interested in details, there are links to the original articles. Looking at this a little more, for instance here, I see "Version X.Y" and "CD Selection-Z.Q" in the category names. It would be pretty easy to look for the exact text "Category:Wikipedia Version " and "Category:Wikipedia CD Selection-" and pick up the text following until whitespace, then throw that into two more columns - Version and CD. Worth doing?
Note here that the very precise spelling of things is important. My foray into catnames doing this has convinced me that they're all over the place and would best be unified. Franamax (talk) 01:08, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

I think I've gotten most of the major elements into place (other than the lead, but a summary of the article should follow the article, not the other way round, IMO). I know that some sections could be a little more coherent, but that's relatively easy to fix once everything is in place. Thanks for the review, I have done some changes to the article based on your comments and think it is ready for GA status based upon your review. Thanks again. The Windler talk 22:14, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- The '''Crescent Honeyeater''' (''Phylidonyris pyrrhopterus'') is a [[passerine]] bird of the Honeyeater family [[Meliphagidae]] native to eastern Australia and [[Tasmania]]. A member of the genus ''[[Phylidonyris]]'', it is most closely related to the common [[New Holland Honeyeater]] is (''P. novaehollandiae'') and the [[White-cheeked Honeyeater]] (''P. niger''). Two subspecies are recognised. It is a fairly nondesript bird of dark grey plumage with a yellow wing patch and paler underparts. Found in dense forest, and alpine habitats, as well as heathland, parks and gardens, its diet is made up of nectar and invertebrates.
Lupin's anti-vandal tool spotted that, I didn't know what to think at the time, so I just went with 'better be safe then sorry.'— DædαlusT@lk / Improve\ Contribs 08:36, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Core concept, just rewritten, I don't have the source, might need review. Best, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll be honest, I am working on a couple of other big projects, but I will see what I can do tomorrow to source more information. The major issue with the article is the large amount of unsourced info, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I'll get back to you tomorrow, I have some pretty good sources in my library so I'm sure there is something I can do to help. Just to note, try not to be bothered if I remove info. that I can't source because it will help us keep the article at FA, as I will add other info in its place that will be sourced if I can.--Chef Tanner (talk) 03:00, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi Cas, I realize you're a busy man but was wondering if I could ask you a favor? Lately I've been plugging away at Katipo (just for a change I thought I would go for a toxic spider instead of mushroom) and was wondering, seeing as you're a pro at this, if you could cast your eye over it/give me suggestions/copyedit it/check my British english before I submit it for GA? I reckon theres a GA in there somewhere just need to finish it off (its come a long way [6]). If you do, just name a mushroom (only if its toxic) you need a hand on and I'd be happy to help. No hurry though. Cheers. p.s. Starting with T, is what common 9 letter synonym for a poisonous mushroom? :) Mr Bungle | talk 07:10, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
I dedicate this stub to a great Wikipedian. Expect a phone call from me soonish. Cheers. Alastair Haines (talk) 08:00, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi Cas, I know you're a busy fella (nice work getting Willy up to GA nom) but I was wondering whether you could find time to have a quick look over my history and, if I pass, go here and bestow the Rollback Spell upon me. I do revert vandalism and other obvious nonsense when I happen upon it, and won't use it to undo good faith edits. Thanks mate, Secret Squïrrel, approx 011:05, 11 June 2008 (Earth Standard Time)
Hi Cas, I forgot to say - I CE'd the article a bit. Two things: 1. under Subspecies I've said that "R. leucophrys leucophrys is the most widely distributed subspecies..." because the way it read before implied that it was the only sp. found in Aus. However, I just made it up (altho' I think it's correct)! An alternative could be "...most common subspecies..." if it's true. Happy for you to play with it if needed. 2. I'd like to find a ref for the "chit-chit" vocalisation being uttered when the bird is being aggressive/an alarm call. Personal observation indicates this is most likely true but I'd rather not add it without something provenant backing it up. Any ideas? For helping Hibernian F.C. to be a good article! Do you have any pointers for trying to improve the article further? Jmorrison230582 (talk) 16:00, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
I've fixed all the issues you've brought up. Thanks for giving a thorough review! bibliomaniac15 16:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
