Hi Murry1975,
You and another person who monitors the articles have indicated the same things which I am doing wrong. I thought the process was a lot easier then it is and have looked into getting some professional advice/help from someone who is better then I am at this.
Once things are clearer to me and more importantly in better shape to be accepted by yourselves, these articles will be submitted again. I wasn't aware I was meant to save them to be reviewed and then move forward from there.
I do apologise and sorry for my poor understanding on how to use Wikipedia in the right way.
Kindest regards,

Hi Murry1975
You recently the deleted the page that was set for the radio show Back2Basics indicating that it was a local radio show and not of sufficient notability. We're listened to by 100,000 worldwide through iTunes, are a Feature Podcast on Podbean and would also like to confirm that show has now been picked up by national radio and we're in the process of transferring to RTE. The show will shortly be airing on RTE Pulse and will be the first all vinyl radio show on RTE in approx 20 years (RTE's PR department is confirming the exact date). I can't confirm this on my page yet because we haven't made the formal announcement with RTE. This is why I recently amended my own page to highlight that the show has finished on Dublin South FM. My apologies as I forgot to log in. Once we make the announcement from RTE I hope to be able to reinstate the page for the show itself. Will this be possible? Is there anywhere the content is saved? I will also annotate my own page.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Murry1975, I was just updating the page of national Irish broadcaster RTE Pulse, providing details of various shows that are not included. I have just seen that one of the pages has been deleted for a new show called Back2Basics. I was going to add a page. Are you aware that the show is national show on RTE. It is the first all viny show on RTE (for 20 years) and is now significantly more than a local show of insignificance for which it looks like it was deleted. I also understand it has significant international listeners. Is is possible to reinstate the page for the show. Regards, Roger P.S. Sorry as I saved I saw the comments on the show above. I can confirm that what is stated there is correct.

I added some information on Charles Algernon Parsons, and I just happened to note it was quickly removed, both last week and today. Why is this? Why do you want to remove references to Ireland? Parsons came from a famous Irish scientific & Engineering family, from a town named after them, 'Parsonstown'. Parsons is celebrated in Ireland, but yet a neutral reader would think he had little or no connection to Ireland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Donn300 (talk • contribs) 22:26, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi Murry1975, RTE Pulse is defined as national by RTE are they are the national broadcaster obviously, but also because the stations can be picked up national via the RTE Saorview service, and also UPC, so whilst digital coverage and UPC are not quite national Saorviews does cover the whole of the country. RTE also included reference to it being national radio in their media release. All their stations are national in some way as far as I'm aware. Thanks, Simon Simonjohnpalmer (talk) 20:35, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi Murry1975, I only added references, I didn't alter text. Saorview is a national service, and RTE Pulse is national digital station i.e. you can get it wherever you live in the country and that's without having to resort to the internet. Yes they put "where available" after digital but they shouldn't have to put "nationally" after Saorview because they assume everyone knows it is national. RTE also included 'national radio' in the quote they wrote for me in their media release. If you don't want to put that then it's cool, no biggie. Thanks anyway. Simonjohnpalmer (talk) 20:57, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
Just checked Wikipedia's own definition of RTE Pulse https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTÉ_Pulse and it says in the info box "Broadcast Area: NATIONAL, Ireland". Maybe I'm being pedantic but I'd hate my page to contradict the main page for RTE Pulse ;) 109.255.90.92 (talk) 21:03, 20 January 2014 (UTC) That was me that added that last comment. Why did you summarily reject my move request without so much as even sitting down to talk about it? I am the person who recently deleted a line from your entry on the Provisional IRA:
'"The United States includes them in the category of "other selected terrorist groups also deemed of relevance in the global war on terrorism"'
The source you quoted is the US State Department's Country Report on Terrorism. You have cited the (outdated)2004 report which included this section at the bottom. However this is not an official designation(unlike the FTO categorization),hence it was changed to "Other Groups of concern" in 2006 (http://www.state.gov/j/ct/rls/crt/2006/82738.htm)
and removed completely from all subsequent reports(latest is http://www.state.gov/j/ct/rls/crt/2012/209989.htm). This is the reason I deleted the offending line. Perhaps if you modified it to use the past tense it would be acceptable.
In any case, I was trying to help improve the accuracy of this entry and would appreciate it if you would be a little more courteous in
future(calling someone a "quack" and questioning their grasp of English is offensive and unnecessary). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.71.202.123 (talk) 12:52, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Just realised you did a revert of the IP as I was editing the section, so just a heads up that my edit sumary is directed at them. Do we need "armed" in the lede? I removed it as the following sentence mentions "unarmed" which to me implies the RIC was armed, as many police services are. I also don't think we need to state the partition in the first sentence as it is mentioned in the last sentence of the paragraph where it gets a little more explanation so think it's unneeded, should also stop the IP. The 1922 map is too small and its quality is horrible. And it's not even a 1922 map. It's a 1933 (1929-1938 to be more accurate) map just like the one I added. But the borders of Europe didn't really change between 1922 and 1938 so it doesn't really matter. The map I added shows the same thing, but it's bigger, has better quality and shows more than the old, small map. Look at the other pages. These kind of maps are not used anymore, it should have been changed already. --Emihunty (talk) 10:32, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
The old map is a 1922-1938 map and the one I added is also a 1922-38 map, since the borders of Europe didn't really change between 1922 and 1938. I just wrote 1933 on a whim. --Emihunty (talk) 12:11, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

This is deemed a serious conduct violation by Wikipedia policy, as is clearly outlined by WP:STALKING, and especially when it is being coupled with tendentiousness. There are a couple of reasons not to include him. One he is nowhere cited as Druze (should be eas enough), and the big number two he is not notable to have an article. Wikipedia is not a collection of random lists and facts. Its an encyclopedia, and these lists have a form. Maybe in a few years time he will have an article but not now and unfortunately we dont guess at these things. Murry1975 (talk) 19:04, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello Murry1975,
I see you have removed my insert on the Gaelic football wiki to the Gaelic football rankings on the grounds that they are unofficial with no source. Nevertheless, I clearly stated that the rankings were unofficial and in the Gaelic football rankings page, the method used to calculate the rankings, in addition to the source of all information, are clearly described.
If you have any other concerns about linking a Gaelic football page to a unofficial Gaelic football ranking page, please let me know so that I can address them. In the meantime, if you can undo your delete, it would be appreciated.

Hello You removed my links the other day. I am sorry if you thought I was spamming. I was just inserting an external link to the page to a website that I thought was very relevant to the subject matter of page - ie: the page is about rivers and the website is also pertaining to rivers and seems to be earnestly researched and hardly inappropriate. I'm sorry that I put this information out in quick succession on a few pages and it obviously appeared to be spam to you! All I can say to you is that I acted in good faith and had no malicious or devious intention. I hope you could reverse the removals. Birdhillbilly (talk) 20:13, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi Murry, while the link to http://www.dicklerfitz.com/ probably shouldn't be added to all of the individual river pages, I still think it would be a benefit if it were added to the Rivers of Ireland page. Within that page there are rivers listed that have no length details (let alone flow rate details!). Important rivers like the Inny, Boyle, Laune, Kings, Brosna have no lengths given! Some rivers have lengths given but with no references or sources - Moy, Liffey, Slaney. The river Suck has a wrong length given with no reference and an external link to data from an 1846 source. Other pages like the river Lee has a reference that leads nowhere. Also I think a link http://www.dicklerfitz.com/lakes/ would be of benefit to the List of loughs of Ireland as it supplies extra info: perimeter lengths, lake volumes etc. Birdhillbilly (talk) 20:21, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

Demographics of atheism. I've been 'bold' and reverted your edit. I gave a reason why in the edit comment thing: we need to ensure the readers aren't confused, as the statistics specifically concern the Republic of Ireland alone, and not the whole of the island, which is also called Ireland. Also, the link pointed to a disambiguation page, rather than the page on Religion in the Republic of Ireland.
As for the Counties of Ireland, as six counties are a part of the United Kingdom, this article must also belong as part of that category. That the other counties are there too, the reverse argument could be made regarding the Republic of Ireland versus Ireland (the island): 26 of the counties don't belong to Ireland (the Republic). I'd be interested to hear if you have any suggestions, if you still protest at the idea of including the article in both the Republic and UK categories. One possible compromise might be to exclude Northern Ireland from the article all together. There is an article already dedicated to Counties of Northern Ireland anyway, I believe. We could then rename the article Counties of the Republic of Ireland.
I apologise, as I'm not aware of the previous conversation you've suggested. That's not to say it didn't happen - I'm just not aware of it!
I've enrolled here recently, so I'm not sure this will show up. I've not logged in. --75.176.181.60 (talk) 03:30, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Hi. You've undone my edits now three times. The first time, you offered rationale in your edit comment. I answered that by explaining here (and in my edit comment when I undid your edit) that there is clear ambiguity in this table: the territory which uses the name of the island (Republic of Ireland) is not the same as the territory which is the whole island. The table strongly suggested (before my edit) that the whole island follows the statistics listed. That is not the case. The statistics very definitely apply solely to the territory of the Republic of Ireland alone.
The wikilink also directed to a disambiguation page, rather than to the page relating to Religion in the Republic of Ireland.
The Manual of Style/Ireland-related articles page is, apparently, a set of guidelines. Here is what Wikipedia says about guidelines:
Guidelines are sets of best practices that are supported by consensus. Editors should attempt to follow guidelines, though they are best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions may apply.
So these guidelines suggest:
Use "Ireland" for the state except where the island of Ireland or Northern Ireland is being discussed in the same context. In such circumstances use "Republic of Ireland"
So I've inadvertently followed the guidelines anyway: Northern Ireland is being discussed in the same context (as a part of the United Kingdom in this case).
I've also attempted to follow the Wikipedia guidelines for editing - a "bold --> discuss --> edit -->" cycle. However, so far, you've not followed that process yourself.
This will be my last edit to the article for a while. Of course, you will probably undo my edit again, but I have more important things to waste my time on! Following guidelines here on dispute resolution, I am taking a break from this specific article. Perhaps this will give you time to reflect and perhaps help me come to some kind of solution which we both feel will aid the Wikipedia site, and which we will both agree to.
I feel the article was misleading to readers, which is why I made the edit to begin with. Hopefully you can see your way to replying here in the next day or two? I will come back to the article at some point in the next few days probably. If my edits have been undone again, I will follow the guidelines and request an administrator to help out. Thanks.
--75.176.181.60 (talk) 00:56, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for replying. It's a table of states, yes - so we would need to be unambiguous, to let the readers know that it's the state of Ireland specifically that the table is referring to. Many people I have met in my life who are confused because they think the whole of the island is a single country. The Wikipedia exists to enlighten people on facts, so we should surely endeavour to bring to them the information that there are two sovereign states currently in Ireland. Again, I think common sense should prevail here, as the guidelines suggest. Northern Ireland is mentioned in the context of the UK. Its statistics (although I haven't checked) would include Northern Ireland.
I have no idea what you think my other edits regarding the UK and the name of an island have to do with this. If anything, I'm being completely consistent with those edits by referring to a specific political entity, rather than an island. For example, Ireland & Britain are islands; the Republic of Ireland and the UK are sovereign states.
Anyway, have we any common ground here regarding this dispute? Perhaps we could move on from there. --75.176.181.60 (talk) 04:59, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
Dear Murry1975 as you will discover I will not be found guilty of sock puppetry .......As you are well aware DDI are not a right wing organisation, and you know we have majority of left wing people in the party. I myself done quite a bit of free work for Sinn Fein in the past and SF have a lot of supporters in DDI and we transferred a lot of votes to you in the local elections. So please drop this attack on us as we agree on a huge amount of issues. We have a common enemies...namely the government and the banks...lets beat them and then sort out our differences if we even have any,

Hi Murry1975, I have just removed reference to my former membership of the National Union of Journalists. I am not longer a member and was told membership would affect my job prospects. As I currently applying for positions I needed the reference removed urgently. Apologies for doing this myself, but I could not get an independent third party to do it quickly enough. Regards, Simon.
I previously used to be WARNER one and have since reincarnated myself to be more friendly, useful, cooperative, less nationalistic and all together a better editor. I have identified you as one of the editors that I have wronged in the past which is why I urge you not to consider my previous actions in the future as I am completely different. I would like to be friends so we can hopefully collaborate in the future. If you understandably still don't want to colabarte and/or see my new side then that is 100% fine. Just please leave me a note here so I know for the future. THANKYOU! --Warner REBORN (talk) 17:27, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I've restored Richard Guinness and Matt Goff to Leixlip's notable people.
1. Richard Guinness has been on the page for over a year. Why remove it now?
2. Matt Goff has his own page, and a local bridge is named after him. Why remove him but retain the likes of Enda Murphy who, to be fair, isn't going to have any landmarks named after them anytime soon?
Anyway, that's the reasoning. If you disagree, please answer questions posed rather than escalating to an edit-war.
Thanks.
I agree that it isn't necessary to remind users that these MOS pages only apply to the English language wikipedia nevertheless I think it is useful for new editors to include this reminder. The justification for many of the policies on this page is that the policies only apply to the English language wikipedia and thus the policies are tilted to suit English language speakers. This is different from the practice in some parts of the Republic of Ireland where many documents try to be more even-handed between English and Irish speakers. I think it might even be useful to put a bannner accross the page confirming that:
This Manual of Style page only applies to the English Language Wikipedia. For the Manual of Style of the Irish Language Wikipedia see Vicipéid:Lámhleabhar Stíle.

I am just wondering why you undid the edits on the Irish Free State article and on the Dominion article. The republic of Ireland was the successor of the Commonwealth of Ireland. The Commonwealth of Ireland was when the constitution of Ireland was established and had loyalty to the crown.

Hi Murry1975,
understanding both the history of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland I can see your views on Carl Frampton being "British" as Northern Ireland is technically part of the UK, however Frampton represents both communities, he does not walk to the ring in the union jack flag or the tricolour, he is Northern Irish, because he is from Northern Ireland. As for the rest of what I posted I put my references there, and my sources have been cited, everything I posted is true and I felt relevant to the article, why you deleted it I have no clue, as you cited zero sources. Merely voicing my opinion here, my edits were informational and unbiased, whereas yours seem to be biased towards claiming Frampton as a Brit, which he hasn't even done himself, in fact he even said himself he was proud to box for Ireland so actually, technically he boxes for Ireland, but factually he is Northern Irish. That is a fact, you can't dispute that. Anyways cheers, and please don't revert my edits, I am trying to edit without bias here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluelightning40 (talk • contribs) 03:33, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
In this link you sent me here he is called Northern Irish. He is only called British by scott quigg. Frampton has never once called himself British — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluelightning40 (talk • contribs) 12:19, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Well the article calls him both Northern Irish and British, so it contradicts itself. Anyways, saying he is Irish upsets the loyalist community, and calling him British upsets the republican community, so seeing as how Frampton is himself a symbol of neutrality, I think Northern Irish is best suited for him, seeing as how he is from Northern Ireland. I have moved the edit I made on the quote from McGuigan calling him Irish as you are right, placed there it contradicts and can confuse a reader. We can compromise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluelightning40 (talk • contribs) 18:26, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, Murray1975, the thing is in Northern Ireland there tends to be a division between the catholics and protestants, the catholics see themselves as Irish republicans, and the protestants tend to be seen as British loyalists, so very rarely does a catholic marry a protestant as they don't get along well. And in addition to wearing pure white or pure black on his shorts, frampton does NOT wear the tricolor or the union jack, so he has become a symbol of neutrality to the north. And eammon O'kane is from a republican area in northern ireland, and he wears the rosary on his way into the ring, so he would see himself as Irish. Frampton however represents neither side. That is one of the things that makes him special. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluelightning40 (talk • contribs) 16:03, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

I'm not personally attacking anyone. There is a user who thinks he, and only he, can edit certain pages; someone who is constantly reverting edits for no reason. There is no hard and fast rule on "time stamps" as long as they have the correct date. He is constantly reverting timestamps even though they have the correct dates. Plenty of people have had problems with your trolling and the trolling of this user and your bullying and harassment of other users. I've already said I don't want contact with you - as there are plenty of other moderators who can engage in discussion about this. Keep up the harassment and see where it gets you. Your IP is already on file and police already know your name anyways. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.46.158.80 (talk) 16:07, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited George Hook, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cork, Ireland. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Murray1975, You've now twice reverted an edit I made to Clonmel relating to an image of a street which is mislabeled, despite the fact that I provided evidence (https://www.google.ie/maps/@52.3532316,-7.7004521,3a,75y,251.92h,80.18t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sAYPxBh8GXNndPeeuFX3bCg!2e0) to show that my edit was correct. I happen to have lived in Clonmel for my entire life and unless the street was renamed yesterday and all of the maps are wrong, I can confidently say that the image is of Mitchell Street, and not Parnell St. which adjoins to it. Mitchell St. is locally known for being a pedestrianised street as you can see in the image. Parnell St. is not pedestrianised. It is blatantly obvious to anyone who has lived in Clonmel that it is Mitchell St. and not Parnell St.
Here is a StreetView image which actually shows the street sign: https://www.google.ie/maps/@52.3533044,-7.6999538,3a,75y,284.54h,84.49t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sOV00TndDuwWrBOWqovL1GQ!2e0
I won't edit the page again for fear of getting wrongfully banned over something so trivial, but I hope you'll reconsider your erroneous reversion...

Indeed, the site is Spanish. But this page is? No, and this "in English" looks dumb (no offense, surely, not meaning that you're dumb or something like that). Think about this: we are in an English WP, and generally the links are Enlgish, as the link pointed in André Gomes is too.

Experienced editors should take special care when dealing with new users. Beginning editors are often unfamiliar with Wikipedia policy and convention, and so their behavior may initially appear to be disruptive. Responding to these new users with excessive force can discourage them from editing in the future. Bucsolp (talk) 18:04, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Murry, you seem to have got hold of the wrong end of the stick regarding my edits of Manchester derby: I wasn't trying to suggest that Old Trafford is within the boundaries of the City of Manchester but rather that the map shows those boundaries, with the ground clearly outside them, rather than Greater Manchester as a whole which would include Bolton, Wigan etc. Haldraper (talk) 14:17, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi Murry1975, I am baffled by rv.s on 14 Dec. of my 24 Nov. edits without comment. Elsewhere similar edits have not been reved. Fact is Dalton like most other voluntary recruits, were not commissioned into the regular British Army but certainly in Ireland joined Irish regiments of the temporary New British Service Army. Why is it a problem with being clear about this? His image does not suffer in any way. Implying he was in the Regular British Army (=British military) may appear to enhance his image, but it is technically incorrect and misleading. I intend to re-enter my edits. Should there be relevant objections, please let's discuss them on the talk page. Thank you. Osioni (talk) 19:35, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
