Keep, because this belongs to the chain of events that led to the Libyan–Egyptian War. It's therefore not so much an aviation incident, but rather a political event.[1] I admit that in its current shape, the article is rather useless, but I think it could be greatly improved/expanded.--FoxyOrange (talk) 09:06, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Keep it was a notable event in the process of the war. It seems to me that this would very much be like having an article on the Pearl Harbor bombing or other significant event/battle in a war. There is a reference in the war article itself that could be easily incorporated. Middle Eastern politics are not my specialty, but I think it is fairly feasible for someone to make this article better than it is now. I really see no reason to delete at this time.
