• Keep. Does not look like a BLP1E to me. I am seeing continuing coverage not just a single burst around one claim to fame. In particular. Some of the sources have limited coverage but I think there is enough to meet WP:GNG and searching in local languages would probably bring up even more. Sources are mostly about the subject being nominated as new acting director general of police and nothing more. If we compare with Kiran Bedi, highly notable, then the subject has not made any significant impact or achievement that is worthy of notice like that of Kiran Bedi. Fails WP:GNG.     Not looking for anyone to have achieved higher offer or running a side by side comparsion but it is an example of some sort of notability expected from the subject who has not had an impact and made any significant achievement to be considered notable.   I still think the award warrants keeping under ANYBIO. I do agree with Necrothesp that the title should be changed if/when the article is retained. Looking at that list, btw, most of the holders of the office are wikilinked. I'm didn't and I'm not going to make a WP:WHATABOUT argument, but you'd need to look closely at all of those bios if you thought this one was problematic; they all have similar levels of WP:ROUTINE coverage.   I ran through some of the wikilinks on the other officers on the page and they are well sourced with good significant coverage with life, career, education, decorations and that is all the kind of notable coverage I am considering to warrant a full fledged page on the subject. Example Sulkhan Singh. The page nominated for this AFD fails WP:SIGCOV and even the birth date though sourced but cannot even tell out of the many Prashant Kumar in the source, which one it is? that is why I thought maybe a redirect or merge would be better. @RangersRus Since your ping brought me back to this AfD, I should add that you are coming very close to WP:BLUDGEONING this discussion. It's appropriate to warn an editor who is !voting twice or request them to strike, but you don't need to strike other editors' !votes yourself, even if improperly made. The closers are very capable of interpreting the discussion and discarding multiple !votes. And even if you did strike the duplicate !vote, you shouldn't to strike @Dsrprj's associated comment. • Keep per WP:NBASIC. The individual has received significant coverage from multiple independent reliable sources in the context of multiple events. These include things related to his job ece his public statements, cms earning his master's degree. which is well-attested to by sources. Comment One comment said that we was the "winner" of a particular award....the linked article says that it was one in a batch of 827 awards being given out. The noted SNG criteria says that if "The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor".....they "are likely to be notable" and that meeting that criteria "does not guarantee that a subject should be included." • Delete. On digging into the President's Police Medal in response to North8000, it does not seem to be a rare award. In 2024 the medal for gallantry was awarded to nearly 500 individuals.
