    I do agree that the level of acceptance is growing quickly (which is LOVELY). But, I think isolating non-binary scientists into very specific categories, makes them harder to find and appreciate. Well that's the thing about categories, AFAIK there's no official policy or rules requiring a source to justify adding a category to an article. Even if there is, just feel free to remove whatever you think is an incorrect category and explain why you think it doesn't fit, instead of suggesting that whole categories should be deleted over hypothetical scenarios of abuse and misuse. As someone who edits in this area a lot, the category divisions between "spree" and "mass" killers tend to be very very blurry even if it's not fictional. The way people tend to decide which goes in which category (I'm not talking about fictional here) seems honestly to be 100% arbitrary and the whole definitional dispute over these terms has been going on forever (though mass killer has the unfortunate affect of overlapping with people who ordered political, state killings, who also tend to be tagged as this) This has always bothered me but there's no clean way to deal with it, alas.

Like for example, mass killer used to mean serial killer and spree killer was basically used for what is now a mass killer, but then spree killer basically started to mean "mass killer who did it at multiple locations" and there's a handful of weird edge cases like Andrew Cunanan who are technically serial killers but often called spree killers.
