Consensus appears to be to list individuals alphabetically by their first name, group names beginning with "A", "An", or "The" should be placed alphabetically by the second word in their name, and names beginning with a digit should be placed in the 0−9 section.

Reliable, independent, 3rd party sources must be provided at the end of the article request, and the proposed article title itself must be linked. Any request that does not follow these guidelines will be removed.

Before you save the page, please make sure to preview the page by clicking the box labeled "Show preview" next to the "Submit changes" box to ensure that the article is a red link, otherwise, disambiguate it usually with (band) or (group) or other appropriate terms. If these already exist, then you can usually disambiguate it further by origin or by genre, etc.

Also, when adding a request, please include as much information as possible (such as webpages, articles, or other reference material) so editors can find and distinguish your request from an already-created article.

Having a background in literature and poetry, music became second nature to Will Bishop, despite being a reserved individual, he has gone against the odds performing regularly at music venues writing music, a far cry from his upbringing. William John Bishop is classically trained as a cellist and double bassist, learning acoustic guitar as a teenager. Influences include Laura Marling, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. William writes on guitar and piano.

Early Life

William was born in London, attending the Haberdashers Askes' School for Boys where he learned cello and double bass, performing predominantly orchestral works. In London he learned to play guitar wanting to write his own songs and music.

William moved to Brighton, where his academic text 'The love looks not wit the eyes but with the mind' was published. He then recorded his first EP, Second Time Around, given critical acclaim by music journalist Bob Leggitt.

Career

After signing to AWAL Recordings (now part of Sony Music Group) Bishop recorded three full length studio albums, each on guitar and piano. After his breakthrough single was released in January 2021, receiving critical acclaim from music journalists and airplay from Absolute Radio and Resonance FM.

In 2019 William worked in collaboration with the University of York, while in Yorkshire recording Waves on Wire. He contributed performances to the degree courses at The University of York Department of film, media and television.

Brooklyn-based musical duo Charming Disaster was formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write songs that tell stories, using two voices to explore dark narratives and characters with a playfully macabre sensibility. Their song "Ghost Story" was used in the podcast Welcome to Night Vale. References:

Hassan Shakosh (Born on August 12, 1987, Giza) is an Egyptian mahragan singer/rapper on the Al Shawakesh label. Hassan attributes his career in working-class neighborhoods to the start of his career singing populist songs in support of working-class people. He has been singing since 2000. Currently, his style takes the street-music, grunge-adjacent style of "mahraganat," which is a radio-friendly electronic rap (shaabi). Hassan is one of the leading mahragan singers in Egypt, but mahraganat music is causing a moral panic similar to gangsta rap in the US in the 90s. Conservatives, including the government, are concerned about the references to sex and alcohol.

Hassan Shakosh's songs include: Bent El Giran (2020) by Hassan Shakosh and Omar Kamal Oud al Batal (2020)
