Nominations have now closed. Eligible to vote are any registered, autoconfirmed users. These are your candidates. This is not RfA, there will be no 'oppose' voting. Just vote for whomever you wish, and if you like, add a few words why you think your candidate(s) should help keep NPP and NPR together. First past the post. The two with the highest scores are going to coordinate these new page control systems until they can find a way to persuade the community and/or the WMF to break the deadlock of the backlog and software development or call a new election. It's up to them. Being a coordinator accords no additional or special user rights. This first election will be coordinated and the results announced by Admins Kudpung and MusikAnimal. You can vote for one or more candidates. Please place your vote with a '#' hash mark followed by a short comment (if you wish) and your signature by typing 4 tildes (~~~~)
Jbhunley
Jbhunley Has a good understanding of the process. Has been an invaluable support to the sytem in getting recent developments off the ground. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 06:05, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
Kudpung thank you for the nomination. I am going to consider it for a bit before I accept or decline. There is quite a bit I would like to see happen with NPR/P and I would like to help as much as possible but I also have another large volunteer commitment so I need to think of how much time I can reliably give to the project. I do not want to commit to something and end up doing a poor job. However it works out I will support the project as best I can, either as a Coordinator or helping with stuff as much as the Coordinators want. Jbh Talk 00:08, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
I do not understand why we are faced with a choice between 4 equally able and willing volunteers. I would prefer that they all worked on this. Leaky Caldron 08:41, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
Robert McClenon Actively takes part in discussions bringing new ideas and food for thought. Aware of what is at stake. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 06:05, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
Support – He is an excellent new page reviewer. J947 02:33, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
I've had a few chances to interact with Robert and think he's fine enough for this. Lourdes 02:42, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Support – I cross paths (in a favorable way) with Robert often on NPP, we've tag teamed on problematic spammers a few times. He's good fore this IMO. JamesG5 (talk) 03:42, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

Due to external constraints out of my control I will unfortunately not have the time to commit to this role. I wish the other coordinators the best of luck and would like to make them aware that both my talk page and email are always open. samtar(admin) Been around for 8 years, has followed and has a perfect grasp of the importance of these issues . Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:11, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Happy to help -- Samtartalk · contribs 10:52, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Atsme📞📧 Gotta appreciate Samtar's being happy to help, not to mention being qualified. I'm of the mind to grab the happy ones & put 'em to work while they're still happy! 😉
Support – Awesome candidate; Kudpung's nomination sums it all up. J947 02:33, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
As in the case of Chris and Robert above, I've interacted with sam and believe this desk will be in safe hands with him (although I wonder sometimes how the two selected will find additional time over what they're already doing). Lourdes 02:42, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Is also a volunteer developer. I'm sure he is able articulate the technical needs of NPP and get some of the necessary software development done sooner and more competently via the back door (i.e. without having to wait for the WMF). MER-C 06:43, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Support - wholly suited to the role. DrStrausstalk 09:05, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

According rights
At their discretion, admins are perfectly free to accord the right on a probationary period , or even reduce an existing right. This does not require any changes to policy because the discretion exists already, so we can implement this immediately following the newsletter. Two boilerplate messages need to be created for this:
Hi, New pages patrol/Coordination We have noticed that you have made few or no patrols since your account was add to the New Page Reviewer user group. Your membership of this group will therefore expire in 90 days. on [dda.mm.yy] . You will then be able to make a new request at WP:PERM and the number and quality of your patrols will be reviewed.
