Eqbal-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان اقبال شرقي) is in the Central District of Qazvin County, Qazvin province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Kuraneh.[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 13,159 in 3,486 households.[5] There were 14,657 inhabitants in 4,425 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 10,360 in 3,298 households. The most populous of its 15 villages was Shinqar, with 1,823 people.[2]
