Gowavar Rural District (Persian: دهستان گوآور) is in Gowavar District of Gilan-e Gharb County, Kermanshah province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Sarmast.[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population was 8,699 in 1,782 households.[5] There were 7,917 inhabitants in 1,860 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 6,801 in 1,921 households. The largest of its 53 villages was Lateh Choqa Sayyadan, with 620 people.[2]
