List of Yo-kai

Yo-kai are spiritual beings in the world of Yo-kai Watch, based on various Japanese mythological spirits and figures. They are divided into eight primary tribes: Brave, Mysterious, Tough, Charming, Heartful, Shady, Eerie, and Slippery. The Wicked Tribe is introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2. In Yo-kai Watch 3, a ninth main tribe, "Wandroid", debuts. Each tribe has its own summoning song that is played when the Yo-kai is summoned. With some exceptions, Yo-kai are invisible to humans who do not possess the Yo-kai Watch. However, they can use leaves to disguise themselves as humans. The Yo-kai are listed below based on their numbering in the games' Yo-kai Medallium (as of Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Moon Rabbit Crew), while those with fictional character biographies and casting information have made appearances in the television series. Where available, names from the English games, North American English dub, and the North American English manga are on the right, while the original Japanese names are on the left.

Brave

Brave Tribe (イサマシ族, Isamashi-zoku) Yo-kai are physically strong and gallant (勇ましい, isamashii) Yo-kai at heart. Their summoning song is "Sumo's shave! Flamo engrave! Flash team-a Brave!" (イサマシ！メザマシ！ラッシャイマシー！, Isamashi! Mezamashi! Rasshaimashī!, Isamashi! Wake up! Have a nice day!). Yo-kai in this category include:

Buyōjinbō (ぶようじん坊, from buyōjin (無用心, "carelessness") and bō (坊, "child")) / Pandle: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto; A Yo-kai who steals things people mistakenly leave at home. Pandle can evolve into Undy.

Garaakinbō (がらあきん坊, from garaaki (がら空き, "defenseless")) / Undy: A Yo-kai who evolves from Pandle and causes people to lower their guard.

Sakigakenosuke (さきがけの助, from sakigakeru (先駆ける, "to be the first") and suke (助, a common suffix for boys' names)) / Tanbo: A Yo-kai who is always first to the battle. He is a recolored version of Undy.

Daraketō (ダラケ刀, from darakeru (だらける, "to be lazy") and tō (刀, "sword")) / Cutta-nah: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A lazy sword Yo-kai.

Zanbaratō (ザンバラ刀, from zanbara (ざんばら, "loose and disheveled")) / Cutta-nah-nah: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A multi-bladed sword Yo-kai who is the evolved form of Cutta-nah.

Dararadanbira (ダララだんびら, from darara (ダララ, "floppy") and danbira (段平, "broadsword")) / Slacka-slash: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A sword Yo-kai with blades are shaped like octopus tentacles.

Katazukerai (かたづ家来, from "to tidy up" (片付ける, katazukeru) and "retainer" (家来, kerai)) / Brushido: A footman Yo-kai who prefers cleaning over war. They and their leader Washogun appear in episode 50, where they help Nate clean up his house while his parents are away. The Brushidos then end up fighting the Messyrai, which were attracted to Jibanyan being messy. Nate led the Brushido into battle against the Messyrai, which resulted in Jibanyan being sent flying through the roof.

Araimashō (アライ魔将, from araimashō (洗いましょう, "let's wash") and "evil commander" (魔将, mashō)) / Washogun: A cleaning shogun Yo-kai who is the evolved form of Brushido. He and the Brushidos appear in episode 50, where they help Nate clean up his house while his parents are away. He and the Brushidos end up fighting the Messyrai, which were attracted to Jibanyan being messy.

Shishimaru (獅子まる, from shishi (獅子, "lion")) / Lie-in: A laid-back white lion cub Yo-kai.

Manojishi (万尾獅子, Man'ojishi, from man o jisuru (満を持する, "to be at the ready") and man'o (万尾, "many tails")) / Lie-in Heart: Voiced by: Kensuke Satō; A white lion Yo-kai samurai who is the evolved form of Lie-in. He ensures people are prepared for various events. Lie-in Heart possesses Bear before the school year starts again, and Nate begs him to help him get ready for the new semester of classes, since he forgot to do his homework over summer break.

Okomusha (おこ武者, from oko (尾籠, "absurd")) / Hissfit: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata; A cute but angry Yo-kai, who evolves into Zerberker when fused with a Raging Blade.

Kushamusha (くしゃ武者, from kushakusha (くしゃくしゃ, "chewing loudly") and musha (武者, "warrior")) / Zerberker: An angry Yo-kai who is the evolved form of Hissfit when fused with a Raging Blade.

Namahage (なまはげ, from Namahage (生剥)) / Snartle: A Yo-kai who scares children into behaving well. In the games, he can be encountered by going past crosswalks without pressing the button.

Chikaramochi (ちからモチ, from chikaramochi (力持ち, "strong man") and mochi (餅, "rice cake")) / Mochismo: Voiced by: Tadashi Miyazawa (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A square rice cake Yo-kai that seems mild-mannered. But when he gets angry, his face and muscles burst out from his mochi body.

Yakimochi (やきモチ, from yakimochi (焼き餅, "jealousy" or "toasted rice cake")) / Minochi: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A mochi Yo-kai who gets overprotective of anyone it loves. It is a recolored version of Mochismo.

Akaname (あかなめ, from akaname (垢嘗)) / Tublappa: Voiced by: Melissa Hutchison; A Classic Yo-kai in a bucket that enjoys licking bathtubs.

Nebuta (寝ブタ, from ne (寝, "sleep"), buta (ブタ, "pig"), nebutai (眠たい, "sleepy"), and Aomori Nebuta Matsuri (青森ねぶた祭り)) / Slumberhog (Rank D version): A Local sleeping pig Yo-kai who can make people fall asleep at the drop of a hat. It evolves into Snortlehog by being fused with a Goldfish Paper Lantern. It represents Tōhoku.

Nebuta (ねぶた) / Snortlehog (Rank B version): A Local pig Yo-kai who evolves from Slumberhog by fusing it with a Goldfish Paper Lantern. It represents Tōhoku.

Hitsumabushi (ひつま武士, from hitsumabushi (ひつまぶし)) / Samureel: A local samurai Yo-kai who evolves into Time Keeler by being fused with a Gold Emblem. It represents Chūbu.

Himatsubushi (ひまつ武士, from himatsubushi (暇潰し, "waste of time")) / Time Keeler: A local samurai Yo-kai who evolves from Samureel by fusing it with a Gold Emblem. It represents Chūbu.

Onigirizamurai (おにぎり侍, from onigiri (鬼斬り, "demon slaying"), onigiri (おにぎり, "rice ball"), and samurai (侍)) / Slicenrice: Voiced by: Ryota Asari (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A rice ball Yo-kai known for slaying oni whose head is an onigiri. According to Whisper, he is the only Yo-kai capable of stopping Swelton's sweating, which makes Swelton happy as he has never had a friend before. However, he then discovers that Swelton has the perfect kind of saltiness to his sweat to make his onigiri taste better.

Yakionigiri (焼きおに斬り, from yaki onigiri (焼きおにぎり, "grilled rice ball") and kiri (斬り, "slash")) / Flamurice: A rice Yo-kai who is the evolved form of Slicenrice.

Kabuto-san (カブトさん, from kabuto (兜, "helmet")) / Helmsman: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A floating samurai helmet Yo-kai.

Genma Shōgun (ゲンマ将軍, from genma (減摩, "lubrication") and shōgun (将軍, "general")) / Reuknight: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A samurai Yo-kai who is the fusion of Helmsman and Armsman.

Yomi Gensui (黄泉ゲンスイ, from Yomi (黄泉) and gensui (元帥, "marshall")) / Corptain: A samurai zombie Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Reuknight.

Dorotabō (泥田坊) / Mudmunch: A one-eyed muddy Classic Yo-kai. He is based on the Yokai Dorotabō, who is the ghost of a rice farmer who died and now haunts his fields, cursing those who harm it.

Melamelion (メラメライオン, Merameraion, from meramera (めらめら, "burning up")) / Blazion: See recurring character section

Gulagulion (グラグライオン, Guraguraion) from guragura (ぐらぐら, "shaky" or "indecisive")/ Quaken: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A lion-like Yo-kai who can cheer up even the saddest of people. He is a recolored version of Blazion.

Todorokijishi (とどろき獅子, from todoroki (轟き, "roaring") and shishi (獅子, "lion")) / Siro: A lion-like Yo-kai who is a silver/white palette swap of Blazion.

Shōbushi (しょうブシ, from shōbushi (勝負師, "gambler") and bushi (武士, "samurai")) / Chansin: A gambling Yo-kai who has three different evolved forms depending on what item he is fused with: Sheen, Snee, or Gloom.

Masamune (まさむね, from Masamune (正宗)) / Sheen: A swordsman Yo-kai who evolves from Chansin by fusing him with the Legendary Blade.

Muramasa (むらまさ, from Muramasa (村正)) / Snee: A swordsman Yo-kai who evolves from Chansin by fusing him with the Cursed Blade.

Kusanagi (くさなぎ, from Kusanagi (草薙)) / Gleam: A Yo-kai swordsman who evolves from Chansin by fusing him with the Holy Blade.

Benkei (ベンケイ, from Benkei (弁慶)): An armored clockwork swordsman Yo-kai who can call upon one of his 999 weapons from his stomach.

Karakuri Benkei (からくりベンケイ, from karakuri (からくり, "clockwork")) / B3-NK1: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); An ancient clockwork swordsman Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Benkei. He destroys modern technology because he seeks the "Hero's Screw" to gain greater power. He believes it is in an appliance and ultimately finds it in Robonyan, who oddly enjoys being ravaged by his naginata, even after he nearly goes critical. In the English dub, B3-NK1 merely seeks 1,000 machine screws that are considered "crucial for machine operation."

Yo-kai Guts K (妖怪ガッツK, Yōkai Gattsu Kē, / ) Moximous N: A shadow Yo-kai who is the Yo-kai form of Nathaniel Adams.

Yo-kai Guts F (妖怪ガッツF, Yōkai Gattsu Efu, / )Moximous K: A white shadow Yo-kai who is the Yo-kai form of Kenny Forester.

Masked Nyaan (マスクドニャーン, Masukudo Nyān) / Machonyan: An orange cat Yo-kai in a golden tiger mask.

Yamato (やまと, from Yamato (大和)) / Sushiyama: A Yo-kai that seeks to become Japanese.

Kabukizaru (カブキ猿, from kabuki (歌舞伎) and saru (猿, "ape")) / Kapunki: A punk Yo-kai in Kabuki makeup, who is a recolored version of Sushiyama.

Kuwanobushi (クワノ武士, from kuwagatamushi (鍬形虫, "stag beetle") and bushi (武士, "warrior")) / Beetler: A stag beetle Yo-kai who has a rivalry with Rhinoggin.

Kuwagataishō (クワガ大将, from taishō (大将, "general")) / Beetall: A stag beetle Yo-kai who evolves from Beetler by fusing him with the General's Soul.

Ōkuwanokami (オオクワの神, from ōkuwagata (オオクワガタ, "Dorcus") and kami (神, "deity")) / Cruncha: A stag beetle Yo-Kai who is a recolored version of Beetall.

Onigui (鬼食い, from oni (鬼, "demon") and "to eat" (食い, kui)) / Demuncher: A frightening Yo-kai who likes to eat Oni.

Inochitori (いのちとり, from inochitori (命取り, "fatal")) / Devourer: A frightening life-eating Yo-kai, who is a recolored version of Demuncher.

Hikari Orochi (ヒカリオロチ) / Illuminoct: A human-shaped Yo-kai that wears a wispy, pale yellow scarf with tails resembling dragon heads. He is a recolored version of Venoct.

Mysterious

Mysterious Tribe (フシギ族, Fushigi-zoku) Yo-kai are strange (不思議, fushigi) Yo-kai and use ghostly magic powers. Their summoning song is "Boo-shiggy, boo-shiggy! Boogie-woogie! Cling clang! Delirious! Mysterious!" (フシギ！フシギ！ブギウギ！オレたちゃ、オオハシャギー！, Fushigi! Fushigi! Bugiugi! Oretacha, ōhashagī!, "Fushigi! Fushigi! Boogie woogie! We only want to have a great time!"). Yo-kai in this category include:

Sakasakkasa (さかさっ傘, from sakasa (逆さ, "upside down") and kasa (傘, "umbrella")) / Brokenbrella: Voiced by: Ryota Asari (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A Classic Yo-kai born from a cheap vinyl umbrella that was thrown out after strong winds turned it inside out and replaced with a better one. Brokenbrella turns Nate's umbrella inside out, and when Nate calls on Pallysol to help teach Brokenbrella how to be a better umbrella, both of them manage to survive a rainstorm's strong winds.

Bakezōri (化け草履) / Pittapatt: A one-eyed straw sandal Classic Yo-kai.

Zuruzuruzuru (ズルズルづる, from zuruzuru (ずるずる, "sniffling") and tsuru (鶴, "crane")) / Snotsolong: A crane Yo-kai with a runny nose.

Kazekamo (かぜカモ, from kaze kamo (風邪かも, "might have a cold") and kamo (カモ, "duck")) / Duchoo: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A duck Yo-kai that causes symptoms of illness but does not make people sick. Nate asks for his help so he can stay home from school to play a video game all day, and he coaches Nate through feigning sick, but his mother is not easily fooled.

Tsuzukanasō (つづかな僧, from tsuzukanasō (続かなそう, "I don't think it will continue") and sō (僧, "monk" or "priest")) / D'wanna: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A lazy wooden fish-headed monk Yo-kai that makes people want to give up on activities. He possesses Bear, Eddie, and Katie throughout the school day, and Nate realizes the only way to beat him is with Babblong's power to make people ramble on uncontrollably. The two Yo-kai go back and forth, possessing Katie repeatedly until D'wanna loses the will to fight.

Yametaishi (やめたい師, from yametai (止めたい, "I want to give up") and taishi (太師, "grand tutor")) / N'more: A wooden fish-headed monk Yo-kai who evolves from D'wanna.

Mōsen Oshō (もうせん和尚, from mōsen (毛氈, "carpet") and oshō (和尚, "high priest")) / Q'wit: A wooden fish-headed monk Yo-kai who is a recolored version of N'more.

Wasurenbō (わすれん帽, from wasurenbō (忘れん坊, "a forgetful person") and bō (帽, "hat")) / Wazzat: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō (Japanese); Joey D'Auria (English); A top hat Yo-kai that steals memories and makes people forget things. He used to be a hat who was his owner's favorite hat until the day they stopped wearing the hat and forgot they owned it. Out of revenge, he now makes people forget things important to them. He is responsible for everyone in Nate's class forgetting to bring something with them. After Nate begins using Wazzat selfishly, he realizes he must stop Wazzat from causing any more trouble. When Nate tries to summon Jibanyan, he accidentally summons Manjimutt, whose memories disgust Wazzat. Afterwards, Wazzat gave Nate his medal. In the English dub, Wazzat speaks in the style of Ed Wynn (making him sound like Mr. Scatterbrain in both the US and UK versions of The Mr. Men Show, which Joey D'Auria also voiced).

Maison de Wasure (メゾン・ドワスレ, Mezon Dowasure, from mezon (メゾン, "house") and dowasure (ど忘れ, "lapse in memory")) / Houzzat: A house Yo-kai who is the evolved form of Wazzat.

Bakazukin (ばか頭巾, from baka (馬鹿, "foolish") and zukin (頭巾, "hood")) / Dummkap: An orange top hat Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Wazzat.

Noppera-bō (のっぺら坊) / Faysoff: A faceless Classic Yo-kai.

Hanahojin (ハナホ人, from hana hojiru (鼻ほじる, "to pick your nose")) / Snottle: Voiced by: Tōru Nara; An oval-headed Yo-kai that makes people stick their fingers in their nose. Nate calls on Jibanyan to help him stop Snottle just as Jibanyan is about to receive a kiss from his favorite member of Next HarMEOWny for helping her little sister. Jibanyan took his anger and depression out on both of them.

Waraenee (わらえ姉, from waraenee (笑えねえ, "don't laugh") and nee (姉, "elder sister")) / Lafalotta: A large-mouthed Yo-kai who feeds upon people's laughter.

Aokuchibiru (青くちびる, from ao (青, "blue") and kuchibiru (唇, "lips")) / Blips: A large-mouthed Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Lafalotta.

Bakurobaa (バクロ婆, from bakuro (暴露, "disclosure") and obaasan (お婆さん, "granny")) / Tattletell: Voiced by: Chie Satō (Japanese); Melissa Hutchison (English); An old lady Yo-kai that makes people tell their deepest, darkest secrets without them realizing. When she was human, she worked as a spy who would get information out of criminals to solve cases. One possesses Katie and tells everyone she saw Nate use the toilet in school, which deeply embarrasses him. After befriending her, Nate has Tattletell help Katie solve a problem at home over her test scores.

Babān (ババァーン, from "bang" (バァーン, bān)) / Tattlecast: An old lady Yo-kai that carries massive speakers and is the fusion of Lafalotta and Tattletell.

Dokurobaa (ドクロ婆, from dokuro (髑髏, "skull")) / Skranny: An old lady Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Tattletell.

Motemoten (モテモ天, from motemote (モテモテ, "popular") and ten (天, "heaven")) / Cupistol: An egg-shaped Yo-kai who makes people popular.

Motemacool (モテマクール, Motemakūru) / Casanuva: A Yo-kai who evolves Cupistol when he is fused with the Love Buster.

Motenusu (モテヌス, from nusumi (盗み, "stealing")) / Casanono: A Yo-kai who makes people unpopular. He is a recolored version of Casanuva.

Ittangomen (一旦ゴメン, from ittan gomen (一旦御免, "I'm sorry this time") and ittan-momen (一反木綿)) / So-sorree: Voiced by: Tōru Nara (Japanese); Joey D'Auria (English); A cotton Yo-kai that makes people do rude things and then give insincere apologies. He inspirited Nate and caused him to do this to his classmates, but with help from Blazion, Nate was able to turn the tide against So-sorree.

Ayamaritaoshi (あやまり倒し, from ayamari (謝り, "apology") and domino-taoshi (ドミノ倒し, "domino effect")) / Bowmninos: Voiced by: Tōru Nara (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A Yo-kai that makes people give overly sincere apologies and is the evolved form of So-sorree.

Koenra (こえんら, from ko (こ, suffix indicating "small") and en (煙, "smoke")) / Smogling: A smoke Classic Yo-kai who evolves into Smogmella.

Enraenra (えんらえんら) / Smogmella: A smoke Yo-kai who is the evolved form of Smogling.

Denpaku-kozō (でんぱく小僧, from denpa (電波, "electo-magnetic wave"), pakupaku (ぱくぱく, "eating"), and kozō (小僧, "youngster")) / Signibble: Voiced by: Chie Satō (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A mischievous Yo-kai that affects electrical energy, causing blackouts and batteries to die. He appears in Nate's house the night he has Eddie and Bear over for a sleepover, affecting their ability to watch a nighttime TV show. Jibanyan's desire to watch the show causes problems and quashes his plans.

Denjin (でんじん, from den (電, "electric") and jin (人, "person") or jin (神, "deity")) / Signiton: A Yo-kai who evolves from Signibble when he is fused with the GHz Orb.

Hatsudenshin (はつでんしん, from hatsudenshi (発電施, "power plant")) / Statiking: A lazy Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Signiton.

Odenjin (おでんじん, from oden (おでん)) / Master Oden: Voiced by: Paul Greenberg; A Yo-lai that resembles Signiton, but in oden shop worker attire.

U.S.O. (Yū Esu Ō) from UFO and uso (嘘, "lie")/ Failian: Voiced by: Chie Satō; An alien-like Yo-kai in a UFO costume that lies about it being an alien from outer space and causes other people to lie. One possesses Katie, and then goes on a spree about town until Keita manages to trick U.S.O. into admitting that it is a Yo-kai and not an alien by having Iloo cast an illusion on him.

Apelican (アペリカン, Aperikan, from American (アメリカン, Amerikan) and pelican (ペリカン, perikan)): Voiced by: Paul Greenberg; A 'Merican white pelican Yo-kai in a cowboy hat and a stars and striped suit. He causes Americanization on others.

Ungaikyō (うんがい鏡, from "Ungaikyō" (雲外鏡)) / Mirapo: A mirror Yo-kai that allows people to warp between two locations and even through time. One is called upon by Whisper to take Nate and his family home after their Golden Week trip. Nate later summons Mirapo to take him and Whisper to the Yo-kai World, where the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero will go on sale in Yo-kai-lifornia.

Ungai Sanmenkyō (うんがい三面鏡, from sanmenkyō (三面鏡, "three-panel mirror")) / Miradox: Voiced by: Jenn Wong; A triple mirror Yo-kai who is a fusion of Mirapo and Espy and is able to time travel. In the English dub of Yo-kai Watch: The Movie, Miradox is referred to as Tri-Mirapo.

Yamikagami (ヤミ鏡, from yami (闇, "dark") and kagami (鏡, "mirror")) / Mircle: A mirror Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Mirapo.

Maborōshi (まぼ老師, from maboroshi (幻, "illusion") and rōshi (老師, "sage")) / Illoo: Voiced by: Tōru Nara (Japanese); Joey D'Auria (English); An illusion-casting Yo-kai who appears at the Springdale Elementary School on Valentine's Day to trick Eddie and Bear into thinking the girls in their class have given them chocolate. Nate soon discovers the truth and tries to defeat Illoo, but he ends up in one of the illusions himself. Nate later used Illoo to fool Failien. Illoo has two brothers named Elloo and Alloo.

Kagerōshi (かげ老師, from kagerō (陽炎, "heat mirage")) / Elloo: A Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Illoo and is his brother.

Hōrōshi (ほう老師, from hōrō (放浪, "wandering")) / Alloo: A Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Illoo and is his brother.

Satori-chan (さとりちゃん, from "satori" (覚)) / Espy: Voiced by: Etsuko Kozakura (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A three-eyed dog Yo-kai that can read people's minds. One possesses Katie, apparently allowing her to read others' minds until Nate discovers that Espy is behind it. Espy gives up on reading Nate's mind when he starts thinking of inappropriate themes and gives him her medal.

Yotsume (よつめ, from yotsume (四つ目, "four eyes")) / Infour: A four-eyed dog Yo-kai who can see a person's age, name, gender, and birthday. She is a recolored version of Espy with four eyes.

Sebastian (セバスチャン, Sebasuchan) / Verygoodsir: Voiced by: Kensuke Satō (Japanese); Joey D'Auria (English); A Yo-kai butler who is brought in by Whisper when he falls ill. While Nate and Jibanyan enjoy Sebastian as he seems superior to Whisper, they soon become overwhelmed by Sebastian's desire for perfection and welcome Whisper back when he is feeling better. Verygoodsir later returned where he was assigned to grade Whisper and Jibanyan on their performances, where failure means they spend an eternity as toys that could be bought by bad boys.

Tengu (天狗): Voiced by: Miho Hino (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); The true Tengu Yo-kai, who wields power over wind. Whisper says that he is friends with such a Yo-kai when he discusses Tengu before Nate meets Tengloom. They soon discover he lied about this fact, which bothers the real Tengu when they meet him.

Homura Tengu (ほむら天狗, from homura (焔, "fire" or "passion")) / Flengu: A Yo-kai that once caused a drought to teach humanity a lesson. He is a recolored version of Tengu.

Kyubi (キュウビ, Kyūbi): See recurring character section.

Inugami (犬神) / Frostail: A gray and silver fox Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Kyubi.

Nue (ぬえ) / Chymera: A Classic Yo-kai who has the head and arms of a monkey, the hindquarters of a tiger, and a snake-headed tail.

Tough Tribe (ゴーケツ族, Gōketsu-zoku) Yo-kai are tough heroic (豪傑, gōketsu) Yo-kai who have high defenses. Their summoning song is "Gruff stuff! Rough bluff! Red bang! Janga stang! Bling Blang Tough!" (ゴーケツ！ゴーケツ！カンゼンムケツのダイシュウケツ！, Gōkestu! Gōketsu! Kanzen muketsu no daishūketsu!, Gōketsu! Gōketsu! The flawless gathering!). Yo-kai in this category include:

Dokidoki (ドキ土器, from dokidoki (ドキドキ, "beating heart") and doki (土器, "earthenware")) / Terrorpotta: An earthenware Yo-kai who can break at any time from his beating heart, so he makes people stand still by making them struck with love. One possesses Nate during field day, making it difficult for him to run around and show Katie how he feels about her.

Darudaruma (だるだるま, from darui (だるい, "sluggish") and daruma (だるま)) / Dulluma: A daruma Yo-kai who causes others to become unmotivated.

Darumacho (だるまっちょ, Darumatcho, from "macho" (マッチョ, matcho)): A gorilla Yo-kai who is the fusion of Dullma and Mochismo.

Goridaruma (ゴリだるま, from "gorilla" (ゴリラ, gorira)) / Goruma: A gorilla Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Darumacho.

Urayameshi (うらや飯, from urayamu (羨む, "to envy") and meshi (飯, "cooked rice")) / Wotchagot: Voiced by: Kiyono Yasuno; A rice bowl Yo-kai that haunts restaurants, making people feel envious of what others eat.

Pridon (プライ丼, Puraidon, from "pride" (プライド, puraido) and donburi (丼, "rice bowl dish")) / Pride Shrimp: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō; An ebi-fry rice bowl Yo-kai who is the fusion of Wotchagot and Papa Windbag. He elevates people's pride, making them stubborn. Together with Wotchagot, they are collectively known as the Rice Bowl-type (ドンブリ系, donburi kei) Yo-kai, and live in constant fear of Yo-kai like Hungramps and Grubsnitch who seek to eat them.

Mayoiguruma (迷い車, from mayoi kuruma (迷い車, "lost car")) / No-Go Kart: Voiced by: Joey D'Auria; An oxcart Yo-kai that causes people to get lost. It evolves into Mistank when fused with Ledballoon.

Dassensha (だっせんしゃ, from dassen (脱線, "derail") and sensha (戦車, "tank")) / Mistank: Voiced by: Joey D'Auria; A tank-like Yo-kai who is the fusion of No-Go Kart and Ledballoon.

Murikabe (ムリカベ, literally "impossible wall" (無理壁, murikabe)) / Noway: Voiced by: Tōru Nara (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A nurikabe (ぬりかべ) Yo-kai that makes people refuse requests. However, his ability can be reversed by asking someone under his spell not to do something. During a field day at school, Noway inspirits Katie to not do what Nate says. Nate ultimately bests him by using reverse psychology, asking his Yo-kai friends to not do things, and for Noway to not be his friend.

Muridajō (むりだ城, from jō (城, "castle")) / Impass: A castle wall Yo-kai who is evolved from Noway. In the "Hanging with Mr. Crabbycat" mini-corner, Impass is depicted as Noway's father.

Shirokabe (シロカベ, from shirokabe (城壁, "rampart")) / Walldin: A castle wall Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Impass.

Gokudō (ゴクドー, from gokudō (極道, "evil" or "wicked")) / Badude: An ogre Yo-kai who wields a kanabo and evolves from Roughraff.

Tōsenbon (トオセンボン, from tōsenbō (通せん坊, "standing in the way") and harisenbon (ハリセンボン, "porcupinefish")) / Blowkade: An anthropomorphic porcupinefish Yo-kai who blocks peoples' path.

Kurogane Senbon (くろがねセンボン, from kurogane (黒金, "iron")) / Ledballoon: Voiced by: Alicyn Packard; An anthropomorphic porcupinefish Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Blowkade.

Sumodon (すもうどん, Sumōdon, from sumo (相撲, sumō)): Voiced by: Paul Greenberg; A Local sumo Yo-kai who represents Shikoku. He evolves into Yokozudon when fused with a Vintage Parasol.

Yokozudon (横綱うどん, Yokozunaudon): A Local sumo Yo-kai who represents Shikoku and evolves from Sumodon when fused with a Vintage Parasol.

Asokkazan (あそっ火山, from assoka (あっそか, "really?!")) / Whatuption: A Local volcano Yo-kai who represents Kyushu. He evolves from Whatuption when fused with a Terracotta Figure.

Morezō (モレゾウ, from moresō (漏れそう, "the need to urinate") and zō (象, "elephant")) / Fidgephant: Voiced by: Miho Hino (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); An elephant Yo-kai that makes people feel the need to urinate. Fidgephant appears in Nate's elementary school, making almost every boy need to go to the bathroom. After Nate is unable to stop him, he summons Roughraff, Manjimutt, and Illoo to end Fidgephant's spell, but it doesn't work. Ultimately, Wazzat steals Fidgephant's memories, allowing Fidgephant to release the water within himself and freeing everyone from the urge to urinate.

Puruphant (ブルファント, Purufanto, from purupuru (プルプル, "trembling") and "elephant" (エレファント, erefanto)) / Touphant: An elephant Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Fidgephant.

Gamammoth (ガマンモス, Gamanmosu, from gaman (我慢, "patience") and "mammoth" (マンモス, manmosu)) / Enduriphant: Voiced by: Joey D'Auria; A mammoth Yo-kai who is the fusion of Fidgephant and Touphant. In the anime, a Fidgephant that was trained by Mr. Batham evolved into Enduriphant after enduring hard training.

Raizō (雷蔵, from rai (雷, "lightning") and zō (蔵, "ownership")) / Zappary: A humanoid Yo-kai who has the power of lightning.

Hiraishin (ヒライ神, from hiraishin (避雷針, "lightning rod")) / Frazzel: Voiced by: Johnny Yong Bosch; A humanoid Yo-kai who evolves from Zappary.

Asekkaki (あせっか鬼, from asekkaki (汗っかき, "someone who sweats a lot")) / Swelton: Voiced by: Tadashi Miyazawa; An obese horned Yo-kai that makes people sweat a lot. He is sad because he has no friends due to his incessant sweating. However, he befriends Slicenrice, since his sweat makes onigiri stick together better. However, Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan are hesitant to try this onigiri.

Fuji-no-yama (ふじのやま, from Fuji-no-Yama (富士の山, "Mount Fuji")) / Mad Mountain: An icy mountain Yo-kai.

Sakura-no-jima (さくらのじま, from Sakura-no-jima (桜の島, "Sakurajima")) / Lava Lord: A volcano Yo-kai who iis a recolored version of Mad Mountain.

Dōkaku (ドウカク, from dōkaku (同格, "same rank"), dō (銅, "copper"), and kaku (閣, "pavilion")) / Castelius III: A temple Yo-kai that causes people to come in third.

Ginkaku (ギンカク, from gin (銀, "silver")) / Castelius II: A temple Yo-kai that causes people to come in second. He is the fusion of two Castelius III, which he is a recolored version of.

Kinkaku (キンカク, from kin (金, "gold")) / Castelius I: Voiced by: Joey D'Auria; A temple Yo-kai that causes people to come in first. He is the fusion of two Castelius II, which he is a recolored version of.

Platinum-kaku (プラチナカク, Purachinakaku) / Castelius Max: A temple Yo-kai that will transcend anyone from winning and losing. He is the evolved form of Castelius I by fusing him with a Platinum Bar.

Musha Kabuto (武者かぶと, from kabutomushi (カブトムシ, "rhinoceros beetle")) / Rhinoggin: A Hercules beetle Yo-kai who is the rival of Beetler. He evolves into Rhinormous by being fused with an Unbeatable Soul

Kabuto Musō (かぶと無双, from musō (無双, "unparalleled")) / Rhinormous: A Hercules beetle Yo-kai who is the evolved form of Rhinoggin by fusing him with an Unbeatable Soul.

Ōtsunonokami (オオツノノ神, from ōtsuno (大角, "large horn")) / Hornaplenty: A Hercules beetle Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Rhinormus.

Daidarabotchi (だいぼらぼっち) / Dromp: A large dirt pile Yo-kai who is one of the largest Yo-kai. He can reshape the landscape into a giant maze, which Nate and Whisper had to go through. With help from Jibanyan and Leadoni, Nate and Whisper made it out of the maze and Dromp gave Nate his medal. However, he then put Nate and Whisper in another maze. In episode 119, Dromp is involved in the Yo-kai World's Yo-1 Grand Prix and placed Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan in one of his mazes. However, they got out with Leadoni's help.

Umibōzu (うみぼうず) / Swosh: A large water Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Dromp. He makes anyone he possesses have a wide and forgiving heart as big as the ocean. Swosh appears in episode 79, where he and Roughraff disrupt a day at the beach for Nate, Eddie, and Bear.

Ōgama (大ガマ, from ō (大, "big") and gamagaeru (ガマガエル, "toad")) / Toadal Dude: A humanoid Classic Yo-kai that used to be a toad and can turn into a giant form resembling one.

Ōyamori (大やもり, from yamori (やもり, "gecko")) / Uber Geeko: A humanoid Classic Yo-kai that used to be a giant gecko. He is a recolored version of Toadal Dude and his cousin.

Red Oni (赤鬼, Aka Oni) / Gargaros: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A giant red Oni Yo-kai with one horn that wields a kanabō. He is one of the three Oni who inhabit the dimension of Terror Time and chase children who leave the house without their parents' permission. He pursues Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan when Nate goes out to buy cream buns when he was supposed to stay home and wait for the deliveryman. In a later episode, he chased Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan again, but leaves upon getting annoyed by Nate's strategical discussions.

Blue Oni (青鬼, Ao Oni) / Ogralus: A giant blue Oni Yo-kai with two horns that wields a kanabo. He is one of the three Oni who inhabit the dimension of Terror Time and chase children who leave the house without their parents' permission. He punishes children who lie.

Black Oni (黒鬼, Kuro Oni) / Orcanos: A giant black Oni Yo-kai with two horns that wields a kanabo. He is one of the three Oni who inhabit the dimension of Terror Time and chase children who leave the house without their parents' permission. He punishes children who are lazy.

Charming

Charming Tribe (プリチー族, Purichī-zoku, "Pretty Tribe") Yo-kai are cute and cuddly Yo-kai who are fast fighters. Their summoning song is "Alarming! Boom boom walla walla! Dance, dance! Charming!" (プリチー！オレッチ、トモダチ！ふくはウチー！, Purichī! Oreccchi, tomodachi! Fuku wa uchī!, "Pretty! We're friends! That's lucky!") Among the Yo-kai in this category are:

Bikyaku (びきゃく, from bikyaku (美脚, "nice legs")) / Leggly: Voiced by: Johnny Yong Bosch; A messenger Yo-kai that resembles a kasa with visible legs.

Sharekofujin (しゃれこ婦人, from sharekomu (洒落込む, "to get dressed up"), sharekōbe (髑髏, "skull"), and fujin (婦人, "woman")) / Dazzabel: Voiced by: Miho Hino; A skeleton Yo-kai that makes people dress extravagantly. She takes control of Nate's mother on the day of her classroom visit, making her dress in extremely gaudy outfits, and even makes Hungramps and Whisper more fashionable. Her control ends when Dimmy negates her effects, and after she loses her bow and umbrella and her bright colors become subdued, she gives up her Yo-kai Medal.

Karakara-san (カラカラさん, from karakara (からから, "rattling")) / Rattelle: A skeletal ghost Yo-kai who is the fusion of Dazzabel and Cupistol.

Honebijin (ほね美人, from hone (骨, "bone") and bijin (美人, "a beauty")) / Skelebella: A skeletal ghost Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Rattelle.

Semimaru (セミまる, from semi (蝉, "cicada")) / Cadin: Voiced by: Tōru Nara (Japanese); Melissa Hutchison (English); A cicada Yo-kai born when a cicada dies after its one week of life. Nate accidentally awakens one when he is out treasure hunting.

Kagemaru (カゲまる, from kage (影, "shadow")) / Cadable: A cicada Yo-kai that evolves from Cadin.

Higurashimaru (ヒグラシまる, from higurashi (ヒグラシ, "evening cicada")) / Singcada: A cicada Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Cadable.

Atsu Garuru (あつガルル, from atsui (暑い, "hot") and garuru (ガルル, "growling")) / Swelterrier: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto; A fiery chihuahua Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Chilhuahua. He is the leader of the Heat-type (あつい系, atsui kei) Yo-kai, composed of Blazion, Sproink, Swelton, and himself. They spread sweltering heat everywhere they hang out, and their latest spot is where Nate was attending a party. However, when Blizzaria stubbornly wishes to hang out with them, she bring with her a powerful blizzard that they cannot stand. Nate gets Swelterrier's medal that is encased in ice.

Tsuragawari (つらがわり, from tsuragamae (面構え, "expression") and kawari (変わり, "change")) / Jumbelina: A humanoid Yo-kai with a mixed-up face who has the ability to swap people's faces.

Hitotsume-kozō (一つ目小僧, from hitotsume (一つ目, "one-eyed")) / Boyclops: Voiced by: Miho Hino (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A cyclops Classic Yo-kai that Nate discovers in an old house in town with Lady Longnek and Pallysol. Whisper helps the three regain their ability to scare modern youth. After they are nearly exorcised, Nate manages to get the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero to work and brings them back.

Kiwinyan (キウイニャン, Kiuinyan): Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata; A light brown cat Yo-kai with kiwifruit skin on parts of its body who is a recolored version of Jibanyan. Kiwinyan appears as one of Mr. Crabbycat's associates at the Yo-kai school.

Budōnyan (ブドウニャン, the grape (葡萄, budō)) / Grapenyan: A dark purple grape-themed cat Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Jibanyan.

Ichigonyan (イチゴニャン, the strawberry (苺, ichigo)) / Strawbnyan: A strawberry-themed cat Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Jibanyan.

Suikanyan (スイカニャン, the watermelon (西瓜, suika)) / Watermelnyan: Voiced by: Kensuke Satō (Japanese); Johnny Yong Bosch (English); A watermelon-themed cat Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Jibanyan. Watermelnyan appears as one of Mr. Crabbycat's superiors at the Yo-kai school.

Sapphinyan (サファイニャン, Safainyan): A sapphire cat Yo-kai who is a sapphire version of Jibanyan and one of the Jewelnyans.

Emeralnyan (エメラルニャン, Emerarunyan) / Emenyan: An emerald cat Yo-kai who is an emerald version of Jibanyan and one of the Jewelnyans.

Dianyan (ダイヤニャン, Daiyanyan): A diamond cat Yo-kai who is a diamond version of Jibanyan and one of the Jewelnyans. He appears in episode 40, where he is listed as the number one of the Top 10 Popular Yo-kai.

Togenyan (トゲニャン, from toge (棘, "spine" or "thorn")) / Thornyan: Voiced by: Etsuko Kozakura (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A cat Yo-kai who is a fusion of Jibanyan and Coughkoff. Thornyan appears in the anime when Jibanyan catches a cold. Thornyan is able to shoot spikes from his body when he sneezes, and soon infects Hidabat and Blazion with a cold that also makes them shoot off spikes.

Warunyan (ワルニャン, from warui (悪い, "evil")) / Baddinyan: Voiced by: Etsuko Kozakura (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A cat Yo-kai who is the fusion of Jibanyan and Roughraff. Under the influence of Roughraff in the anime, Jibanyan transforms into the bōsōzoku-inspired Baddinyan who thinks he is doing bad things but does not scare Nate.

Buchinyan (ブチニャン, from buchi (斑, "mottled")): Voiced by: Alicyn Packard; A white and red cat Yo-kai. In Yo-kai Watch 2, Buchinyan is created when Jibanyan and Whisper fuse together into a single Yo-kai.

Sailor Nyan (セーラーニャン, Sērā Nyan, from sailor fuku (セーラー服, sērā fuku)): A cat Yo-kai that dressed in a sailor fuku.

Wondernyan (ワンダーニャン, Wandānyan): A special cat Yo-kai who is a pirate and can be obtained from a download code in the game Wonder Flick.

Jetnyan (ジェットニャン, Jettonyan): A cat Yo-kai that resembles Jibanyan in a jet hat.

Edokko Panda (江戸っ子パンダ, from edokko (江戸っ子, "someone born and raised in Tokyo")) / Panja Pupil: A Local giant panda Yo-kai who represents Kantō. He evolves into Panja Pro by being fused with a Master's Lantern.

Ōedo Ninja Panda (大江戸忍者パンダ) / Panja Pro: A Local giant panda Yo-kai who represents Kantō. He is evolved from Panja Pupil by fusing him with a Master's Lantern.

Nogappa (ノガッパ, from nogamo (野鴨, "wild duck")) / Walkappa: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Melissa Hutchison (English); A kappa (河童) Yo-kai who lives in Springdale's river. He is a standard kappa, a fact that plays into his favor when Nate tries to win over the friendship of Tattletell, as none of his secrets are traumatic. He evolves into Appak.

Tabigappa (たびガッパ, from tabi (旅, "journey")) / Appak: A kappa Yo-kai who evolves from Walkappa.

Baku (バク): Voiced by: Chie Satō (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A purple and pink tapir Yo-kai that makes people fall asleep and eats their dreams. She says she wants to eat the perfect dream, which she can tell by how tall the dreamer is in the dream. After failing to find one among Nate's classmates, Nate calls on Shogunyan, who has just the dream Baku is looking for.

Obaku-sama (おバク様): A purple tapir Yo-kai that evolves from Baku.

Haku (ハク, from haku (白, "white") and haku (吐く, "to confess")) / Whapir: A white tapir Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Baku. In Yo-kai Watch 3, she aids Hailey and Usapyon at their Detective Agency.

Ame-onna (雨女, "a woman who causes rain") / Drizzelda: Voiced by: Etsuko Kozakura; A ghostly white girl Yo-kai with an umbrella on her head. She has the ability to make it rain where she is, regardless of the current forecast.

Bakusoku (ばくそく, from bakusoku (爆速, "very fast") and soku (足, "shoe")) / Nekidspeed: A muscular Yo-kai that has a shoe head who makes people run constantly. He first appeared in episode 37 during a field day, where he inspirited Aaron Adams into racing against Nate and the other racers. Aaron ends up winning, much to the disappointment and confusion of Nate and others that attended.

Kyuntarō (キュン太郎, "Tarō" (太郎) is a common masculine name suffix) / Shmoopie: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A Shiba Inu Yo-kai that makes people forgive someone, and seems to act ditzy and forgetful with pure charm. One possesses Katie and causes problems in class when she does things that should get her in trouble, but all of the boys and their teacher forgive her. Nate manages to subdue him when he calls on Manjimutt, but it proves unsuccessful.

Zukyukyunta (ズキュキュン太) / Pinkipoo: A Shiba Inu Yo-kai with heart-shaped ears who evolves from Shmoopie.

Urakyunta (裏キュン太, from ura (裏, "reverse")) / Pookivil: A Shiba Inu Yo-Kai with heart-shaped ears who is a recolored version of Pinkipoo and is an embodiment of her bad side.

Kemamon (ケマモン, from Kumamon (くまモン)) / Harry Barry: A bear Yo-kai, based on Kumamoto Prefecture's mascot Kumamon.

Yuki-onna (ゆきおんな, from yuki-onna (雪女, "snow woman")) / Frostina: Voiced by: Alicyn Packard; A pale-skinned humanoid Yo-kai who has power over ice and snow. She evolves into Blizzaria when fused with a Glacial Clip.

Kappa (河童) / Faux Kappa: Voiced by: Kensuke Satō (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); The real mythical kappa, who Nate seeks out when he discovers Walkappa will not be able to help him on a report on yōkai.

Suiko (水虎)/ Tigappa: A blue kappa with stripes who is a recolored version of Faux Kappa.

Master Nyada (マスターニャーダ, Masutā Nyāda, from Master Yoda): Voiced by: Naoki Bandō (video games), Ken Shimura (1st film) (Japanese); Joey D'Auria (English); A bronze cat Yo-kai who is a master of a mystical power known as the "Hose". He is a parody of Yoda.

Heartful

Heartful Tribe (ポカポカ族, Pokapoka-zoku) Yo-kai are a group of warm and inviting Yo-kai who excel at healing. Their summoning song is "Speedy, Heartful! Sing La La La! Everywhere Heartful!" (ポッカポカ！ナンカヨウカ！いっちょやーるカー！, Pokkapoka! Nanka yōka! Itcho yāru kā!, Pokkapoka! Or whaever it is! How do you do!?). Yo-kai in this category include:

Urayamashirō (うらやましろう, from urayamashii (羨ましい, "jealous")) / Wantston: Voiced by: Alicyn Packard; A boy Yo-kai who makes anyone he inspirits envious of what other people have. One Wantston inspirited Nate to want things. With help from Whisper and Jibanyan, Nate was able to summon Komasan and Komajiro to help fight him. Komasan annoyed Wantson so much that he ran off while leaving Nate his medal.

Tsumamiguinosuke (つまみぐいのすけ, from tsumamigui (つまみ食い, "eating food before a meal begins") and suke (助, common part of a male given name)) / Grubsnitch: Voiced by: Chie Satō (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A by Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Wantson. He makes people sneak snacks from larger prepared meals, and will not stop until the whole meal is devoured. One possesses Nate's mother when she prepares dinner for the family, but begins eating it before anyone else has a chance. He is defeated when Nate has Hungramps make his mother actually hungry instead of desiring the snacks from the meal.

Wakame-kun (ワカメくん, from "wakame" (ワカメ)) / Wiglin: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A seaweed Yo-kai that makes people dance well and is part of a trio with Steppa and Rhyth.

Wakame*Star (ワカメ☆スター, Wakame Sutā): A seaweed Yo-kai who evolves from Wiglin.

Kombu-san (コンブさん, Konbu-san, from "kombu" (昆布, konbu)) / Steppa: Voiced by: Tōru Nara (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A seaweed Yo-kai that makes people dance well and is part of a trio with Steppa and Rhyth.

Mekabu-chan (メカブちゃん, from "mekabu" (メカブ, another type of edible seaweed)) / Rhyth: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A seaweed Yo-kai who, alongside her friends Wiglin and Steppa, loves to dance. They possess Nate when he is worried about being shown up in a dance lesson in gym class. He thanks them, unaware that they will make him dance uncontrollably throughout the rest of the day.

Himojii (ひも爺, from himojii (ひもじい, "hungry") and ojiisan (お爺さん, "gramps")) / Hungramps: Voiced by: Tadashi Miyazawa (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); An old man Yo-kai that makes people feel hungry all the time. He was once a human who, many years ago, brought his granddaughter to a convenience store and bought her a toy charm. However, as his granddaughter grew up, she began to see him less. When he died, Hungramps began haunting the convenience store. Nate and Whisper convince him that rather than haunt the store, he should try to find his granddaughter. Just as he leaves, his granddaughter, now a high school student, walks by. She is reminiscing on how her late grandfather bought her a toy from the store, and she still has it on her book bag, which makes Hungramps happy. Later on in the series, he is constantly featured with Grubsnitch as the Eater-type (食い系, kui kei) Yo-kai duo, appearing near food-like Yo-kai: their fear of being consumed is a running gag.

Kuiijii (くいい爺, from kuiiji (食い意地, "gluttony")) / Hungorge: A gluttonous Yo-kai who evolves from Hungramps.

Komejii (こめ爺, from kome (米, "rice")) / Grainpa: An old man Yo-kai with a body made of rice. He is a recolored version of Hungramps.

Robo-G (ロボG, Robojī): A robot Yo-kai who is the robotic version of Hungramps.

Kizunameko (キズナメコ, from kizuna (絆, "bonds") and nameko (ナメコ)) / Tongus: A mushroom girl Yo-kai whose tongue can heal any wounds. She evolves into Nurse Tongus by being fused with Shmoopie.

Kizunurse (キズナース, Kizunāsu) / Nurse Tongus: A nurse Yo-kai who is the fusion of Tongus and Shmoopie.

Sunao (砂夫, from suna (砂, "sand") and sunao (素直, "meek" or "honest")) / Sandmeh: Voiced by: Ryota Asari; A simple and easy going humanoid sand Yo-kai who makes people be honest and laid back. He evolves into Mister Sandmeh by being fused with the Sand Suit. One possesses Eddie on his birthday, nearly ruining the day as Sandmeh made him tell his parents he did not want a big party. With help from Komasan, Nate was able to get Sandmeh to have Eddie open up.

Sunao Ōyama (大山砂夫, Ōyama Sunao) / Mister Sandmeh: A humanoid sand Yo-kai with an office worker motif. He evolves from Sandmeh when he is fused with the Sand Suit.

Karakasa-obake (から傘お化け) / Pallysol: Voiced by: Kensuke Satō (Japanese); Melissa Hutchison (English); A umbrella tsukumogami Classic Yo-kai. He evolves into Scarasol by fusing with Mad Mountain. Nate discovers him an old house in town with Boyclops and Lady Longneko. Whisper helps the three regain their ability to scare modern youth. After they are nearly exorcised, Nate manages to get the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero to work and brings them back.

Karakasa-majin (から傘魔人, from majin (魔人, "demon")) / Scarasol: A demonic Yo-kai who is the fusion of Pallysol and Mad Mountain. When its umbrella is open, it has good defense. When its umbrella is closed, it has good offense.

Ukiukibi (ウキウキビ, from ukiuki (うきうき, "cheerful") and satōkibi (サトウキビ, "sugar cane")) / Happycane: A Local plant Yo-kai who represents Okinawa. She evolves into Starrycane when fused with a Red Hibiscus.

Tokimekibi (トキメキビ, from tokimeki (ときめき, "palpitation")) / Starrycane: A local plant Yo-kai who represents Okinawa. She evolves from Happycane when fused with a Red Hibiscus.

Binboy (びんボーイ, Binbōi, from binbō (貧乏, "poverty")) / Lodo: A blue-skinned boy Yo-kai who causes people to lose their money.

Okanenider (お金ナイダー, Okanenaidā, from okane nai da (お金ないだ, "I don't have money") and Kamen Rider (仮面ライダー, Kamen Raidā)) / Supoor Hero: Voiced by: Aya Endō; A masked blue-skinned boy Yo-kai who evolves from Lodo and, like him, causes people to lose their money. One affects Nate when he goes out to buy a new manga, as he plans on "protecting" the city from money. When Nate summons Manjimutt, Supoor Hero's powers don't work because Manjimutt was already pathetic. He is thwarted when a group of Noko appears and turns his powers into giving people good luck in getting expensive things. Before turning into a Noko, Supoor Hero gives Nate his medal.

Rakutendō (らくてん童, from rakuten (楽天, "optimism") and tendō (天童, "cherub")) / Chippa: A pink-skinned boy Yo-kai who makes people not worry about things. He is a recolored version of Lodo.

Zashiki-warashi (ざしきわらし, from zashiki-warashi (座敷童子)) / Gnomey: A mischievous child Classic Yo-kai who brings joy to anyone that lives in the house that it occupies. It evolves into High Gnomey.

Zashiki-warashin (ざしきわら神) / High Gnomey: A Yo-kai who is the self-proclaimed God of the Gnomey. He evolves from Gnomey.

Zekkōchō (ぜっこう蝶, from zekkō (絶好, "ideal") and chō (蝶, "butterfly")) / Enerfly: Voiced by: Tooru Nara (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A butterfly Yo-kai that makes things around people perfect. It evolves into Betterfly by fusing with Enefly. One possesses Eddie and gives him great luck until Nate summons Buhu to scare it away.

Zekkōchō (ゼッコウ蝶, from zekkō (絶交, "broken friendship")) / Enefly: Voiced by: Tooru Nara; A butterfly Yo-kai that ends friendships and is a recolored version of Enerfly. It evolves into Betterfly by fusing with Enerfly. One possesses Nate when he believes it's the other Enerfly, and he nearly loses his friendship with Katie, Bear, and Eddie in the process.

Saikōchō (サイコウ蝶, from saikō (最高, "the best")) / Betterfly: A butterfly Yo-kai who is the fusion of Enerfly and Enefly.

Ageageha (アゲアゲハ, from ageage (アゲアゲ, "high spirits") and ageha (アゲハ, "swallowtail butterfly")) / Peppillon: A butterfly Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Betterfly. It makes people feel mundane activities are exciting and fun. It possesses Nate's parents during their Golden Week plans to see a nearby waterfall. Even though Nate feels he should get rid of the Yo-kai, Whisper convinces him to let his parents enjoy the holiday. But when it starts to rain, Peppillon leaves.

Kudan (くだん, from kudan (件, a half-man, half-bull yōkai that predicts how a person will die)) / Predictabull: A half-man half-ox Classic Yo-kai that can see into the future. He evolves into Smashibull when fused with Ethereal Water.

Daikudan (大くだん) / Smashibull: A half-man half-ox Yo-kai that evolves from Predictabull when fused with Ethereal Water.

Don-chan (どんちゃん) / Don Chan: A mint-blue drum Yo-kai who is the mascot of Taiko no Tatsujin, included in Yo-kai Watch 2 as a collaboration between Level-5 and Namco.

Hareotoko (晴れ男, "a man who makes the sun come out") / Ray O'Light: Voiced by: Johnny Yong Bosch; A sun-headed Yo-kai who brings fine weather wherever he goes.

Honobōno (ホノボーノ, from honobono (ほのぼの, "heartwarming")) / Happierre: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A gaseous Yo-kai who makes people happy and carefree. His presence negates the abilities of his wife Dismarelda.

Hyōhennu (ヒョウヘンヌ, from hyōhen (豹変, "sudden change")) / Reversa: A gaseous Yo-kai of mixed feelings who is the fusion of Happierre and Dismarelda.

Hyōhenna (ヒョウヘンナ) / Reversette: A gaseous Yo-kai who is the recolored version of Reversa.

Santakurōshi (サンタク老師, from Santa Claus (サンタクロース, Santa Kurōzu) and santaku (3択, "three choices")) / Ol' Saint Trick: Voiced by: Tōru Nara; An elderly Yo-kai who has three bags that he gives gifts from. However, one must guess which one of the three has a present, as the other two contain punishments. He is often confused for Santa Claus.

Fukurojijii (ふくろじじい, from fukuroji (袋地, "bagging") and jijii (ジジイ, "old man")) / Ol' Fortune: An elderly Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Ol' Saint Trick. Unlike Ol' Saint Trick, all his bags contain presents.

Sai-no-Menyūdō (さいの目入道, from sai-no-me (さいの目, "dice pips"), me (目, "eyes"), and Mikoshi-nyūdō (見越入道)) / Rollen: A disembodied head Yo-kai with dice for eyes. Everything that Rollen does is decided on the roll of his dice eyes, with the outcome changing his personality.

Zorome Daimyōjin (ゾロ目大明神, from zorome (ゾロ目, "matching dice") and daimyōjin (大明神, "demigod")) / Dubbles: A disembodied head Yo-kai with dice for eyes who is a recolored version of Rollen. When he Inspirits someone, it points them to an unknown fate.

Rai Oton (雷オトン, from rai (雷, "lightning") and oton (おとん, "father")) / Papa Bolt: A humanoid Yo-kai that rides on a cloud. He is the husband of Mama Aura.

Zetsu Ojii (絶オジイ, from zetsu (絶, "total") and ojii (お祖父, "old man")) / Uncle Infinite: A humanoid Yo-kai that rides on a cloud. He is a recolored version of Papa Bolt, who is afraid of Uncle Infinite's powers.

Sei Okan (聖オカン, from sei ("holy") and okan (御母, "mother")) / Mama Aura: A humanoid female Yo-kai that rides on a cloud. She is the wife of Papa Bolt, and can calm any dispute or storm.

Shin Obaa (心オバア, from shin (心, "heart") and obaa (お祖母, "old woman")) / Auntie Heart: A humanoid female Yo-kai that rides on a cloud and is a recolored version of Mama Aura.

Qilin (麒麟, Kirin) / Kyryn: Voiced by: Johnny Yong Bosch; A sacred Classic Yo-kai that guards lives.

Ikkaku (イッカク, from ikkakujū (一角獣, "one-horned beast", another name for the Qilin)) / Unikirin: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A holy Classic Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Qilin.

Shady

Shady Tribe (ウスラカゲ族, Usurakage-zoku) Yo-kai are hazy and shadowy Yo-kai who always have mean thoughts, and can bring down the stats of their opponents. Their summoning song is "Marvelously Gutsy free banshee Sing song Shady!" (ウースラカーゲ！おれたちのオーカーゲー, Ūsurakāge! Oretachi no Ōkāgē! or "Usurakage! It's all our fault!"). Yo-kai in this category include:

Michibiki (みちび鬼, from michibiki (導き, "guidance")) / Leadoni: A one-eyed, one-horned Oni Yo-kai with a long right arm who has the ability to lead anyone places. Leadoni helped Nate and Whisper twice when they ended up in Dromp's mazes.

Ekohiiki (えこひい鬼, from ekohiiki (依怙贔屓, "favoritism")) / Mynimo: A one-eyed one-horned Oni Yo-kai with a long right arm who is a recolored version of Leadoni.. Anyone he plants his flag on gets better treatment than the people around them.

Katanori-kozō (かたのり小僧, from katakori (肩凝り, "stiff shoulders"), nori (海苔), kozō (小僧, "apprentice")) / Ake: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A round-headed bratty Yo-kai who causes people to have achy shoulders. He evolves into Ake when fused with a Buff Weight.

Katanori-oyakata (かたのり親方, from oyakata (親方, "master")) / Payn: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A round-headed Yo-kai who make people's shoulders stiff and achy. He evolves from Ake when he is fused with a Buff Weight. When two Payns go around Springdale affecting Nate's father and friends, Nate asks to have the same sensation. However, his pliable shoulders prove to be a challenge for the master and apprentice.

Gikkuri Otoko (ぎっくり男, from gikkurigoshi (ぎっくり腰, "strained back") and otoko (男, "man")) / Agon: A round-headed Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Payn. He causes people to have slipped discs in their back.

TETSUYA (from tetsuya (徹夜, "all night")) / Wydeawake: Voiced by: Meslissa Hutchison; A pale-skinned Yo-kai that lies on a cloud and causes people to stay up all night playing video games. He evolves into Allnyta when fused with Hidabat or Tengloom, depending on the game.

KANTETSU (from kantetsu (完徹, "all nighter")) / Allnyta: A Yo-kai who is the fusion of Wydeawake and Hidabat. In Yo-kai Watch 3, Allnyta is a fusion of Wydeawake and Tengloom.

Kusakuiotoko (草くいおとこ, literally "grass eating man" (草食い男, kusakui otoko) from the Japanese herbivore men (草食系男子, sōshoku-kei danshi) phenomenon) / Herbiboy: A mysterious-looking humanoid Yo-kai. He evolves into Carniboy by fusing with Carniboy.

Nikukuiotoko (肉くいおとこ, literally "meat eating man" (肉食い男, nikukui otoko)) / Carniboy: A humanoid Yo-kai that is the fusion of Herbiboy and Blazion.

Negativoon (ネガティブーン, Negatibūn, from "negative" (ネガティブ, negatibu)) / Negatibuzz: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe; A mosquito-like Yo-kai that makes people depressed. It evolves into Moskevil. It affects Nate's dentist when he goes in for a sore tooth, causing him to become depressed and uncertain about his work. Nate calls on Blazion to counteract Negatibuzz's control. but this ends up making the dentist too eager.

Janegavoon (ジャネガブーン, Janegabūn, from janen (邪念, "wicked thought")) / Moskevil: A mosquito Yo-kai who evolves from Negatibuzz.

Kayukayu (かゆかゆ, from kayui (痒い, "itchy")) / Scritchy: A mosquito Yo-kai that causes those she sucks blood from to itch. She is a recolored version of Moskevil.

Jimmy (ジミー, Jimī, from jimi (地味, "plain" or "simple")) / Dimmy: Voiced by: Miho Hino (Japanese); Johnny Yong Bosch (English); A shadow ninja-like Yo-kai who lives in the shadows and makes people and things more simple and subdued in appearance and personality. He evolves into Blandon. He affects Jibanyan on the day of the classroom visit, and when Nate calls upon Jibanyan to stop Dazzabel, he realizes that Jibanyan has been affected by him. Dimmy, however, does not want to be involved in what is happening and wants to be subdued. Whisper forcibly pushes him into Dazzabel to solve everyone's problems, and then he gives Nate his Yo-kai Medal.

Kagerō (カゲロー, from kagerō (蜉蝣, "ephemeral")) / Blandon: A purple scroll Yo-kai who evolves from Dimmy.

Kaimu (カイム, from kaimu (皆無, "non-existent")) / Nul: A scroll Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Blandon.

Gishinanki (ぎしんあん鬼, from gishinanki (疑心暗鬼, "becoming paranoid of others")) / Suspicioni: Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; An Oni Yo-kai that has three eyes: two are on top of each other and one behind his head. He can make anyone feel suspicious.

Gaki (ガ鬼, from gaki (がき, "brat")) / Tantroni: An Oni Yo-kai that has three eyes: two are on top of each other, and one is behind his head. He is a recolored version of Suspicioni that throws fits.

Amanojaku (あまのじゃく, from amanojaku (天邪鬼, "perverse person" or an antagonistic demon)) / Contrarioni: An Oni Yo-kai that has three eyes: two are on top of each other, and one is behind his head. He is a recolored version of Suspicioni that makes people disagree with anything.

Jingisugisukan (ジンギスギスカン, from jingisukan (ジンギスカン, a mutton dish named after Genghis Khan) and gisugisu (ギスギス, "thin and bony")) / Grampus Khan: A Local sheep Yo-kai who represents Hokkaido. He evolves into Groupus Khan when fused with a Carved Bear.

Chingisugisuhan (チンギスギスハン) / Groupus Khan: A Local sheep Yo-kai who represents Hokkaido and commands the Grampus Khan army. He evolves from Grampus Khan when he is fused with a Carved Bear.

Tojikōmori (ドジコウモリ, from tojikomoru (閉じこもる, "to seclude oneself")) / Abodabat: A bat Yo-kai dressed in a small biege house who is the fusion of Hidabat and Tengloom. In Yo-kai Watch 3, Abodabat evolves from Hidabat when he is fused with a Comfortable Closet.

Yadokōmori (ヤドコウモリ, from yado (屋戸, "doorway")) / Belfree: A bat Yo-kai dressed in a small house who is a recolored version of Abodabat.

Karipakkun (かりパックン, from karipaku (借りパク, "borrowing without returning") and pakku (パック, "pack")) / Yoink: Voiced by: Ryota Asari; A Yo-kai that makes people give up their belongings to others. He evolves into Gimme. One possesses Bear, and Nate later discovers that it has made his belongings disappear. Nate tries to get Yoink's help at home, but this only causes more trouble until Nate has Yoink possess his father and ask his mother for a motorcycle. However, he is rebuffed.

Dorobokkun (泥ボックン, from dorobō (泥棒, "thief")) / Gimme: Voiced by: Joey D'Auria; A backpack-headed Yo-kai who causes people to borrow something and then not return it. He evolvess from Yoink. Gimme steals things from Nate's room, and when Count Zapaway is summoned, he challenges Gimme to find the remote control. When Gimme gives up on the hardest level, he returns Nate's stuff and gives him his medal. Afterwards, Gimme helps Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan look for the remote control, but they are unaware it's in the refrigerator.

Matenshi (まてんし, from mate (待て, "wait") and tenshi (天使, "angel")) / K'mon-K'mon: Voiced by: Kiyono Yasuno; An impatient humanoid Yo-kai who Nate and Whisper meet when traveling to the Yo-kai World to get the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero. He becomes impatient when the line isn't moving and causes a commotion, leading Nate to summon Jibanyan to fight K'mon-K'mon.

Hitomakasennin (ひとまか仙人, from hitomakase (人任せ, "leave it to others") and sennin (仙人, "mountain man")) / Yoodooit: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); An elderly Yo-kai on a red flying pillow who causes people to give up on tasks and have others do it for them. One possesses Lily Adams while she is doing household chores, leaving Nate to take care of everything himself.

Rimokonkakushi (りもこんかくし, from rimokon (リモコン, "remote control") and kakushi (隠し, "hidden")) / Count Zapaway: Voiced by: Tadashi Miyazawa (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A remote control Yo-kai in a vampire cape who hides remote controls. One appears in Nate's house as he and Jibanyan are planning to watch a sports event. They search through each level for the remote control until Aaron Adams tells them the old-fashioned way of turning on the television. Upon being defeated, Count Zapaway surrenders the remote and gives Nate his Yo-kai Medal. He was later summoned by Nate to deal with Gimme, and Count Zapaway puts Gimme through each level to find the remote. After going through the hardest level, Gimme surrenders. Afterwards, Count Zapaway has Nate, Whisper, Jibanyan, and Gimme continue looking for the remote, but they are unaware that Count Zapaway hid it in the refrigerator. In the English dub, Count Zapaway speaks in the style of Bela Lugosi.

Jikochū (ジコチュウ, from jikochū (自己中, "selfishness") and chū (チュウ, "mouse")) / Tyrat: A crown-wearing mouse Yo-kai.

Nekurama Tengu (ネクラマテング, from nekura (根暗, "gloomy") and "Kurama Tengu" (鞍馬天狗)) / Tengloom: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A crow-like Yo-kai in geta sandals who makes people dour and gloomy with his feather fan.

Yomi Tengu (ヨミテング, from yomite (読み手, "reader")) / Nird: A crow-like Yo-kai in geta sandals who is a recolored version of Tengloom.

Gabunyan (ガブニャン, from gabu (ガブ, "bite")) / Dracunyan: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A blue cat Yo-kai in vampire attire who takes over Springdale on Halloween, turning everyone but Nate and his friends into Dracunyan. After his friends are turned into Dracunyan, Nate attempts to use Eddie's idea to cure everyone, but it transforms everyone into Manjimutt instead. Suddenly, Nate awakens from what was apparently he and Whisper's shared nightmare, with Jibanyan nearby dressed as a vampire.

Uma (ウ魔, from uma (馬, "horse") and ma (魔, "demon")) / Neighfarious: A short Pegasus Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Negasus.

Devivil (デビビル, Debibiru, from debiru (デビル, "devil") and bibiru (びびる, "to feel nervous")) / Timidevil: A devil Yo-kai who causes people to becomes timid and afraid of everything. He evolves into Beelzebold when fused with a Shard of Evil.

Devivilan (デビビラン, Debibiran, from biran (糜爛, "inflammation of the skin")) / Beelzebold: A devil Yo-kai who evolves from Timidevil when he is fused with the Shard of Evil.

Mushiba Hakushaku (虫歯伯爵, from mushiba (虫歯, "tooth decay") and hakushaku (伯爵, "count")) / Count Cavity: A devil Yo-kai who causes people to develop cavities. He is a recolored version of Beelzebold.

Igaigaguri (イガイガグリ, from igaiga (イガイガ, "tickle in the throat") and igaguri (毬栗, "chestnut in its burr")) / Coughkoff: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A sea urchin Yo-kai with an eye in its opened section that causes people to have coughing fits. He appears in Nate's house to make Nate cough when Duchoo fails to trick Nate's mother.

Amefurashi (雨ふらし, from amefuri (雨降り, "rainfall") and amefurashi (あめふらし, "sea hare")) / Drizzle: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A watery Yo-kai that causes inclement weather to bring people's vacations to a halt. It manages to create a rainstorm that stops Peppillon's control over Nate and his family, but Nate calls on Robonyan to stop the rain from ruining Golden Week.

Kōrinbō (こおりんぼう, from kōri (氷, "ice")) / Slush: A ghostly Yo-kai that can freeze anything. It evolves into Alhail.

Bakearare (化けあられ, from obake (お化け, "ghost") and arare (霰, "hail")) / Alhail: A large melty Yo-kai with strong ice powers that evolves from Slush. He is a recolored version of Drizzle.

Tararin (たらりん, from tarashi (垂らし, "drop")) / Gush: A Yo-kai that causes nosebleeds: in the anime, he instead can make things drip. He is a recolored version of Slush.

Yokodori (ヨコドリ, from yokodori (横取り, "snatching") and tori (鳥, "bird")) / Peckpocket: Voiced by: Aya Endō (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A plump bird Yo-kai that makes people steal things from others. It evolves into Robbinyu. One possesses Bear until Nate realizes something is wrong with his behavior and tries to stop Peckpocket.

Harao-dori (はらおドリ, from hara odori (腹踊り, "belly dance")) / Rockabelly: Voiced by: Aya Endō (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A plump bird Yo-kai that makes people do an embarrassing dance that shows off their stomach, and is a recolored version of Peckpocket.

Otomorashi (おともらし, from otomore (音漏れ, "sound leaking from headphones")) / Squeeky: A small humanoid Yo-kai who causes music to leak out of a person's headphones. He evolves into Rawry when fused with a Booming Horn.

Bakuonnarashi (爆音ならし, from bakuon (爆音, "explosion") and narashite (馴らし手, "tamer")) / Rawry: Voiced by: Melissa Hutchison; A humanoid Yo-kai who evolves from Squeeky when he is fused with a Booming Horn. There are loud sounds everywhere he goes.

Tohohogisu (トホホギス, from tohoho (トホホ, "boo-hoo") and hototogisu (ホトトギス, "lesser cuckoo")) / Buhu: Voiced by: Aya Endō (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A downcast-looking bird-like Yo-kai that makes people depressed by manipulating events around them. She follows Nate after she becomes depressed because she missed a handsome bird. She unintentionally causes Bear distress, leading Nate to call on Robonyan to restore Bear's good spirits.

Bukakkō (ブカッコウ, from bukakkō (不格好, "misshapen" or "clumsy") and kakkō (カッコウ, "common cuckoo")) / Flumpy: A downcast-looking bird-like Yo-kai that makes people unfashionable and awkward. He is a recolored version of Buhu.

Shinigamidori (死神鳥, from shinigami (死神, Shinigami)) / Skreek: A downcast-looking bird-like Yo-kai that makes people fall into despair. He is a recolored version of Buhu.

Kaoberus (かおベロス, Kaoberosu, from kao (顔, "face") and Cerberus (ケルベロス, Keruberosu)) / Multimutt: A two-headed guard dog Yo-kai who is the fusion of two Manjimutts. In Yo-kai Watch 2, Multimutt evolves from Manjimutt.

Sanzu-no-Inu (三途の犬, from Sanzu River (三途の川, Sanzu-no-Kawa) and inu (犬, "dog")) / Sir Berus: An elite two-headed guard dog Yo-kai that was born and raised in the Netherworld. He is a recolored version of Multimutt.

Robomenken (ロボメン犬) / Robomutt: A robot dog Yo-kai who is a mechanical version of Manjimutt.

Keukegen (けうけげん, normally written 毛羽毛現) / Furgus: A furry Yo-kai with a furry snake-like tail instead of legs. It evolves into Furdinand. Anyone it inspirits causes their hair to grow, which Yo-kai enjoy but humans do not.

Fusafusan (ふさふさん, from fusafusa (ふさふさ, "bushy")) / Furdinand: Voiced by: Joey D'Auria; A black wig Yo-kai who evolves from Furgus. He can make hair change in shape and thickness which can be cancelled out by rain. In the English dub, Furdinand speaks in the style of Bill Thompson's character Wallace Wimple from Fibber McGee and Molly.

Mitomen (認MEN, from mitomein (認印, "seal of approval")) / Nosirs: Voiced by: Yuichi Karasuma, Kazuhiro Fusegawa, and Kiyotaka Furushima (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A trio of big-nosed Yo-kai who disrupt Nate's class while they are having an exam, making them doubt themselves. They appear to be malicious, but they only want to help people. When they point out that Nate has inserted a Yo-kai Medal into his Yo-kai Watch incorrectly, he thanks them and it causes them to have a change of heart. One holds out his hand in gratitude, but he is drawn into the Yo-kai Watch to remind Nate if he puts a Medal in backwards, while the other two pass on to the other side.

Donyorinne (ドンヨリーヌ, Don'yorīnu, from don'yori (どんより, "dull")) / Dismarelda: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata (Japanese); Melissa Hutchison (English); A large purple blob Yo-kai whose presence causes people to fight, and if they are married couples, she could cause a divorce. She meets Nate when she leaves her house after a fight with her husband Happierre and causes Nate's parents to fight. She and Happierre make up later.

Kuchidake-onna (口だけおんな, literally "girl who is all talk" (口だけ女, kuchi dake onna), based on the Kuchisake-onna (口裂け女)) / Chatalie: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A big-mouthed humanoid Yo-kai who makes people tell white lies. She possesses Bear, making him lie about an upcoming test and that he can break a world record on the track, causing his classmates to dislike him. She then "helps" Eddie win the class president election by making him lie about his plans for being in office, ultimately helping him, but this encourages her to make him claim he will take over the world next.

Otsubone-sama (おつぼね様, from otsubone (御局, "court lady")) / Nagatha: A big-mouthed humanoid Yo-kai that makes anyone nag. She is a recolored version of Chatalie.

Sankyū-nyūdō (砂ン丘入道, from sakyū (砂丘, "sand dune") and "thank you" (サンキュー, sankyū)) / Danke Sand: A local sand-pile Yo-kai who represents Chūgoku. He evolves into Danke Sand by fusing with a Dune Sand.

Nōsankyū-nyūdō (ノー砂ン丘入道) / No Sankyu: A local sand-pile Yo-kai who represents Chūgoku. He evolves from Danke Sand when he is fused with a Dune Sand.

Jigajii-san (じがじぃさん, from jigajisan (自画自賛, "singing one's own praises")) / Papa Windbag: Voiced by: Kensuke Satō (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A short elderly Yo-kai that causes people to become boastful. He affected Nate, his classmates, and the Classic Yo-kai trio he has befriended.

Norarikurari (のらりくらり, lit. "lazy" or "evasive") / Ben Tover: An elongated humanoid Yo-kai who causes people to avoid getting to the point of a conversation and instead talk about something else.

Onarazumono (おならず者, from onara (おなら, "fart") and narazumono (ならず者, "hooligan")) / Cheeksqueek: Voiced by: Miho Hino (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A Yo-kai that makes people to have uncontrollable flatulence. Nate discovers one in his classroom and is attacked by its abilities after Katie is affected. Nate realizes the only way to defeat him is to use a Yo-kai that cannot pass gas, and calls upon Robonyan, who has an air freshener within him.

Hekokijin (へこ鬼神, from hekoki (屁放き, "fart") and kijin (鬼神, "fierce god")) / Cuttincheez: A Yo-kai that can manipulate the smells of anything that stinks and is a recolored version of Cheeksqueek.

Hanako-san (花子さん, Hanako-san) / Toiletta: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata (Japanese); Jenn Wong (English); A humanoid female Yo-kai based on the Japanese urban legend of Hanako-san. She evolves into Foiletta when fused with a Cursed Journal. She hits a writer's block after realizing she doesn't scare children anymore and is treated more like a school attraction. After being advised by Nate to widen her grounds, she starts spooking kids and people outside of toilets, even making her way to people's homes through cursed DVDs. This helps her regain her confidence, and she eventually becomes a Yo-kai Producer who acts as other Yo-kai's agent to help promote their fame.

Hanako Noroino (呪野花子, Noroino Hanako, from noroi (呪い, "curse")) / Foiletta: A humanoid female Yo-kai who evolves from Toiletta when she is fused with a Cursed Journal.

Nobosetonman (のぼせトンマン, from nobose (逆上せ, "hot flash") and ton (豚, "pig")) / Sproink: Voiced by: Yuya Murakami (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A large and powerful pig-like Yo-kai who lives in an onsen. He makes the bathwaters boiling hot, preventing people from enjoying their bath. Nate encounters Sproink at a public onsen, and none of the Yo-kai he summoned can handle the hot water. However, he is defeated when Mr. Batham turns the hot water on, as the current water temperature was not warm enough for him.

Osuberi-sama (おすべり様, from suberi (滑り, "sliding")) / Compunzer: An odd humanoid-shaped Yo-kai on a cushion whose jokes fall flat.

Oshisshō (おしっしょう, from shisshō (失笑, "inappropriate laughter")) / Lamedian: An odd humanoid-shaped Yo-kai on a cushion who tells bad jokes. He is a recolored version of Compunzer.

Shiwaku-chan (しわくちゃん, from shiwakucha (しわくちゃ, "crumpled" or "wrinkled")) / Grumples: A wrinkly elderly woman Yo-kai that can fire beams from her staff that shrivel up anything. Her effects can be countered when the affected human or item is washed. She evolves into Everfore when fused with Ageless Powder.

Oiran (老いらん, from oiran (花魁, "courtesan") and oiru (老いる, "to grow old")) / Everfore: A young woman Yo-kai who evolves from Grumples when she is fused with Ageless Powder. She absorbs people's youth of anyone to sustain her own youth.

Fujimi Gozen (ふじみ御前, from fujimi (不死身, "immortality") and gozen (御前, "My Lady")) / Eterna: A young woman Yo-kai. She is a recolored version of Everfore.

Darknyan (ダークニャン, Dākunyan): Voiced by: Brent Pendergrass; A black cat Yo-kai who is a dark version of Hovernyan and a parody of Batman. His abilities allow him to dodge Soultimate attacks.

Fūmin (フゥミン, from fumin (不眠, "insomnia")) / Insomni: Voiced by: Aya Endō (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); A one-eyed jinn Yo-kai who derives entertainment from making people stay awake, which causes them to become sick. Nate calls on Baku to fight her to prevent from inducing insomnia in his whole class. While it appears she has the upper hand, this is all within a dream Baku made her have.

Onemu-no-Sei (おねむの精, from onemu no sei (おねむのせい, "reason why I'm sleepy") and sei (精, "sprite")) / Sandi: A one-eyed jinn Yo-kai who pulls people into their dreams to play with them. She is a recolored version of Insomni.

Tsuchigumo (土蜘蛛)/ Arachnus: A humanoid Classic Yo-kai who was once a spider, and can transform into a large spider-like form.

Jorōgumo (女郎蜘蛛)/ Arachnia: A humanoid Yo-kai that can turn into his true spider form. He is a recolored version of Arachnus.

Slippery

Slippery Tribe (ニョロロン族, Nyororon-zoku) Yo-kai are wiggly Yo-kai who are hard to target and buff their allies' stats. Their summoning song is "Jibbery! Gibbery! Slobbly wobbly-doo! Slippery!" (ニョロローン！デロローン！ソロソロ、イイダローン!?, Nyororōn! Derorōn! Sorosoro, ii darōn!?, Nyororōn! Let's go go! Isn't it so good!?). Yo-kai in this category include:

Nechigaeru (ねちがえる, from nechigaeru (寝違える, "wake up with a crick in the neck") and kaeru (カエル, "frog")) / Cricky: Voiced by: Ryota Asari (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A frog Yo-kai who gives people cricked necks. He was once the pet of an old chiropractor, and when people stopped showing up due to a spa that opened down the street, Cricky went to look for customers. However, he passed away after being hit by a bicycle, became a Yo-kai, and became interested in other things. When he Inspirits Bear and Eddie, Nate summons Jibanyan, but Cricky surrenders before Jibanyan can attack. When Nate brings Cricky to the chiropractic center, he sees his owner is still hard at work with customers. Cricky begins to watch over her again, bringing in more customers for her using his abilities.

Tsuchinoko (ツチノコ) / Noko: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A tsuchinoko Yo-kai who is very rare and brings good luck to those who find him. He evolves into Bloominoko by fusing with the Drop of Joy. Whisper told Nate about them, but failed to notice the Noko appearing behind his back. One Noko gave Nate his Yo-kai Medal, and later helped Nate by changing Supoor Hero's ability. In Yo-kai Watch 2, the player can get a special Tsuchinoko wearing a bowtie (チョウネクタイ, chōnekutai).

Fukuryū (フクリュウ, from fuku (福, "good fortune") and ryū (龍, "dragon")) / Bloominoko: A snake-like Yo-kai who evolves from Noko when he is fused with the Drop of Joy.

Tsuchinoko Panda (ツチノコパンダ) / Pandanoko: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto (Japanese); Brent Pendergrass (English); A panda-colored tsuchinoko Yo-kai who has trouble deciding whether he should be a panda or a Noko. He eventually catches the interest of Next HarMEOWny, who collaborate with him and take him on tour, where he develops a cocky celebrity personality.

Robonoko (ロボノコ): A robotic tsuchinoko Yo-kai who is a mechanized version of Noko.

Karamizon (からみぞん, from karamare (絡まれ, "entangle")) / Snaggly: A pear-shaped furry Yo-kai who causes people to become awkward. She evolves into Whinona.

Kongaragal (こんがらギャル, Kongaragyaru, from kongaragaru (こんがらがる, "to become entangled") and gyaru (ギャル, "gal")) / Whinona: A pear-shaped furry Yo-kai who evolves from Snaggly.

Whisbei (ウィスベェ, Wisubē, from Kuroda Kanbei (黒田官兵衛, Kuroda Kanbee)) / Whispocrates: A Yo-kai who was the past version of Whisper and an ally of Ishida Mitsunari. He also went by the name Nonuttin.

Warautsubo (笑ウツボ, from warau (笑う, "to laugh") and utsubo (ウツボ, "moray eel")) / Heheheel: Voiced by: Tadashi Miyazawa; An eel Yo-kai in a jar that causes people to laugh uncontrollably. One possesses Eddie when he and Nate visit Bear, who is in the hospital for a broken arm. Nate tries to use Dismarelda to stop him, but calls on Jibanyan instead. They eventually get Heheheel to stop by giving him some dried squid.

Utaunagi (歌ウナギ, from utau (歌う, "to sing") and unagi (ウナギ, "eel")) / Croonger: An eel Yo-kai in a jar who is a recolored version of Heheheel.

Daija-no-Tsubo (大蛇のツボ, from daija (大蛇, "serpent") and tsubo (壷, "jar")) / Urnaconda: An eel Yo-kai in a jar who is a recolored version of Heheheel.

Kiraigyo (キライギョ, from kirai (嫌い, "hate") and gyo (魚, "fish")) / Fishpicable: A fish-like Yo-kai that senses the evil in people and slaps them with its tail. It evolves into Rageon.

Zouo (ゾウオ, from zōo (憎悪, "hatred") and uo (魚, "fish")) / Rageon: A fish-like Yo-kai with a knife wrapped around its tail. It evolves from Fishpicable.

Gyakujōuo (ギャクジョウウオ, from gyakujō (逆上, "distraction")) / Tunatic: A fish-like Yo-kai with a knife wrapped around its tail who is a recolored version of Rageon.

Takoyakki (たこやっ鬼, from takoyaki (たこ焼き)) / Takoyakid: A Local takoyaki Yo-kai who represents Kinki. It evolves into Takoyaking when fused with a Takoyaki Tray.

Takoyakijin (たこや鬼神) / Takoyaking: A local takoyaki Yo-kai with octopus tentacles for limbs who represents Kinki. It is the evolved form of Takoyakid when it is fused with a Takoyaki Tray.

Omoidasuppon (おもいだスッポン, from omoidasu (思い出す, "to remember") and suppon (スッポン, "soft-shelled turtle")) / Flushback: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō; An elderly turtle Yo-kai who was once a turtle. He evolves into Vacuumory when fused with a Mem-o-Vac. He is traumatized from an incident where he was almost flushed down the toilet, only to be saved by his owner, a little girl, using a plunger. As such, he makes people he Inspirits remember their past traumas, affecting Nate when he tries to do his class duties to impress Katie. In a bid to "forget" his past trauma, he summons Dummkap, who manages to make Flushback forget his own past trauma, but both of them become idiots as a result.

Omoidashin (おもいだ神, from omoidasenai (思い出せない, "I cannot remember")) / Vacuumory: An elderly turtle Yo-kai who evolves from Flushback when he is fused with a Mem-o-Vac.

Mukamukade (ムカムカデ, from mukamuka (むかむか, "being angry") and mukade (ムカデ, "centipede")) / Irewig: A centipede Yo-kai who causes people to become ticked off at anything. He evolves into Firewig.

Geki Dragon (激ドラゴン, Gekidoragon, from gekido (激怒, "rage") and "dragon" (ドラゴン, doragon)) / Firewig: A centipede Yo-kai who evolves from Irewig.

Ryu-kun (りゅーくん, Ryūkun, from ryū (龍, "dragon") and kun (君, a common boy's name honorific)) / Draggie: A small dragon Yo-kai who uses the ball on his head to see peoples' hidden strengths. He evolves into Dragon Lord when fused with a Dragon Orb.

Ryūjin (龍神) / Dragon Lord: A Japanese dragon Yo-kai who evolves from Draggie when he is fused with a Dragon Orb.

Seiryū (青龍) / Azure Dragon: A Japanese dragon Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Dragon Lord.

Robo Ryu-kun (ロボりゅーくん, Robo Ryūkun) / Robo-Draggie: A small red robotic dragon Yo-kai who is the mechanized version of Draggie.

Ningyo (にんぎょ, normally written 人魚) / Mermaidyn: Voiced by: Kiyono Yasuno (Japanese); Jenn Wong (English); A mermaid Classic Yo-kai who evolves into Mermadonna when fused with a Mermaid's Pearl, or Scaremaiden when fused with an Essence of Evil. Nate constantly hooks one by accident whenever he goes fishing, no matter how small the body of water. Mistaking it as his desire to call her, she gives him her Medal out of frustration. Despite this, he still calls her out by fishing instead of using the Yo-kai Watch.

Yao Bikuni (八百比丘尼) / Mermadonna: A mermaid Yo-kai who evolves from Mermaidyn when she is fused with the Mermaid's Jewel. If one loves Mermadonna, they might gain immortality.

Izanami (イザナミ, from nami (波, "wave")) / Mermother: A mermaid Yo-kai who is a recolored version of Mermadonna.

Rokurokubi (ろくろ首) / Lady Longnek: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto (Japanese); Melissa Hutchison (English); A long-necked Classic Yo-kai who Nate discovers in an old house in town with Boyclops and Pallysol. Whisper helps the Classic Yo-kai regain their ability to scare modern youth. After they are nearly exorcised, Nate manages to get the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero to work and brings them back.

Bōbō (ボー防, from bōbō (惘々, "listless")) / Daiz: Voiced by: Alicyn Packard (normal voice), Johnny Yong Bosch (angry voice); A pink ghost Yo-kai who causes people to space off. It dislikes being compared to a sausage.

Shidoromodoro (しどろもどろ, "flustered") / Confuze: A blue ghost Yo-kai that causes people to become confused and is a recolored version of Daiz.

Michikusame (ミチクサメ, from michikusa (道草, "loitering") and same (サメ, "shark")) / Chummer: An anthropomorphic shark Yo-kai who causes people to loiter so that he can eat them.

Tōshirozame (トーシロザメ, from tōshirō (藤四郎, "amateur")) / Shrook: An anthropomorphic turquoise shark Yo-kai who causes people to lose their talents. He is a recolored version of Chummer.

Mudazukai (ムダヅカイ, from mudazukai (無駄遣い, "wasteful spending") and kai (貝, "shellfish")) / Spenp: Voiced by: Tōru Nara (Japanese); Johnny Yong Bosch (English); A one-eyed green clam-like Yo-kai with a zipper on its mouth that was formed during the Japanese asset price bubble. He makes people waste money on things so they become happy.

Harawa Shell (はらわシェル, Harawasheru, from harawashinai (払わしない, "does not pay") and "shell" (シェル, sheru)) / Almi: A red one-eyed clam-like Yo-kai with a zipper on its mouth who makes anyone treat others until they have an empty wallet. He is a recolored version of Spenp.

Nagabana (ナガバナ, from nagabanashi (長話, "long talk") and nagai hana (長い鼻, "long nose")) / Babblong: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō (Japanese); Joey D'Auria (English); A Yo-kai with a long nose that makes people speak in the Osaka dialect and tell long-winded stories. In the English dub, Babblong speaks in the style of Jimmy Durante.

Nagabanana (ナガバナナ, from "banana" (バナナ)) / Bananose: A Yo-kai with a very long nose who is made of bananas. He is a partially-recolored version of Babblong.

Horyū (ホリュウ, from horyū (保留, "reserve" or "deferment")) / Draaagin: A Japanese dragon Yo-kai who causes people to become indecisive.

Tsuraretarōmaru (つられたろう丸, from tsurareru (釣られる, "to be lured") and maru (丸, a common suffix for ship's names)) / SV Snaggerjag: An anglerfish Yo-kai in a boat that commands all the fish that live in his lake. He guards the lake to keep people out.

Shikirunja (しきるん蛇, from shikiru (仕切る, "to divide") and ja (蛇, "snake")) / Copperled: A red snake Yo-kai who causes people to take charge of anything. He appears in episode 60, where he made Eddie take charge of things. When Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan chase after Copperled, he Inspirits Katie and causes Nate to envision a fantasy with her. This creeps out both Copperled and Katie, as they both leave and Copperled leaves Nate his medal.

Sunesnake (すねスネーク, Sunesunēku, from suneru (拗ねる, "to sulk") and "snake" (スネーク, sunēku)) / Cynake: A blue snake Yo-kai that causes people to become whiny and ungrateful. He is a recolored version of Copperled. Cynake possesses Aaron Adams on Mother's Day and makes her ungrateful for the gifts he and his father have given her. Nate uses Happierre to make his parents happy and drive Cynake away.

Mamushi Gyōji (まむし行司, from mamushi (蝮, "viper") and gyōji (行司)) / Slitheref: A yellow snake Yo-kai that ensures fair fights. He is a recolored version of Copperled.

Orochi (オロチ) / Venoct: See recurring character section.

Kage-Orochi (影オロチ) / Shadow Venoct: A humanoid Yo-kai that wears dragon-headed scarves. He is a recolored version of Venoct.

Legendary

Legendary Yo-kai (レジェンド妖怪, Rejendo Yōkai, "Legend Yo-kai") are powerful Yo-kai that are only acquired after unlocking the seals on a particular page in the Yo-kai Medallium by befriending certain Yo-kai. The Legendary Yo-kai introduced in Yo-kai Watch (Shogunyan, Komashura, Dandoodle, Elder Bloom, and Gilgaros) appear to be even more powerful forms of other Yo-kai that the player has encountered and can also be classified into the other tribes. Their unique summoning song is "Imaginary! Incendiary! Flip flop! Squiggle boom! Slim slam! Legendary!" (レジェーンド!レジェーンド!ブッタマゲーンドー!, Rejēndo! Rejēndo! Buttamagēndō!, Legend! Legend! Amazing!). A Legendary komainu Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe who is an altered version of Komasan. In Yo-kai Watch, the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura are Komane, Blazion, Kyubi, Mad Mountain, Lava Lord, Casanuva, Quaken, and Komajiro. In Yo-kai Watch 2, the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura are Firewig, Blazion, Swelterrier, Tublappa, Lava Lord, Tunatic, Zerberker, and Frazzle. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura are Pinkipoo, Swelterrier, Lie-In Heart, Puppynyan, Puppiccino, Push Pup, Sir Berus, and Quaken. In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura are Swelterrier, Lava Lord, Tunatic, Zerberker, Tublappa, and Blazion. In episode 202, Komashura debuts after awakening from a twelve-year nap during the Year of the Dog. He tries to turn all the cat Yo-kai into dog Yo-kai, but is defeated by his own sleepiness.

Yamabuki Oni (山吹鬼, from yamabuki-iro (山吹色, "golden yellow")) / Gilgaros: A Legendary oni Yo-kai of the Tough Tribe who is the strongest oni ever born. He is a recolored version of the Oni (Gargaros, Ogralus, and Orcanos). In all three mainline games, the Yo-kai required to unlock Gilgaros are Cruncha, Frostail, Goldenyan, Damona, Auntie Heart, Count Cavity, Eterna, and Shadow Venoct. Gilgaros first meets Nate and Tomnyan in episode 155.

Netaballerina (ネタバレリーナ, Netabarerīna, from netabare (ネタバレ, "spoilers") and "ballerina" (バレリーナ, barerīna)) / Spoilerina: Voiced by: Ryōko Nagata (Japanese); Jenn Wong (English); A Legendary ballerina Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe who likes to give out spoilers, particularly to movies. In Yo-kai Watch 2, the Yo-kai required to unlock Spoilerina are Smogmella, Miradox, Predictabull, Pallysol, Faux Kappa, Demuncher, Mermaidyn, and Master Nyada. In Yo-kai Watch Blasters, the Yo-kai required to unlock Spoilerina are Sgt. Burly, Hovernyan, Signiton, Demuncher, SV Snaggerjag, Slimamander, Wobblewok, and Devourer. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Spoilerina are Little Charmer, Silver Lining, Treetter, Blazion, Sgt. Burly, Whapir, Komasan, and Komajiro. In the anime, Nate meets Spoilerina when she attempts to spoiler a movie that he was going to see. Nate finally gets her to stop with the help of Wazzat making him forget her spoilers, but she defeats him before it can work. Nate manages to avoid Spoilerina long enough for her to give him her Yo-kai Medal. Episode 127 reveals that Spoilerina used to be a novelist named Rina Haruno, who was notorious for spoiling her own novels. At a press conference about a movie adaption of one of her books, her publisher's editors, knowing of her unprofessional behavior, deactivated the electricity within the event wall. As Rina stood on the table in an attempt to spoil her movie, she fell and died, becoming Spoilerina.

Hanasakajii (花さか爺, from hana (花, "flower") and bloom (咲く, "to bloom")) / Elder Bloom: Voiced by: Tadashi Miyazawa (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A Legendary elderly Yo-kai who wants to spread cherry blossoms. He is a recolored version of Hungramps with cherry blossom-shaped eyebrows. In Yo-kai Watch, the Yo-kai required to unlock Elder Bloom are Hungramps, Bloominoko, Negasus, Castelius Max, Betterfly, Heheheel, Timidevil, and Dromp. In Yo-kai Watch 2, the Yo-kai required to unlock Elder Bloom are Dromp, Rhyth, Statiking, Peppillon, Nurse Tongus, High Gnomey, Don Chan, and Papa Windbag. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Elder Bloom are Grainpa, Vacuumory, Q'wit, Greengramps, Tongue-Twister, Frogetmenot, Naandhi, and Ol' Fortune. In the anime, Nate encounters Elder Bloom when his class goes into the mountains to plant trees, and Elder Bloom is worried that their trees will outcrowd the cherry trees in the area. After helping Elder Bloom, Nate gets his Yo-kai Medal.

Unchikuma (うんちく魔, from unchi (うんち, "poop"), unchiku (蘊蓄, "extensive knowledge") and kuma (くま, "bear"); literally "poop-eating demon" (うんち食魔, unchikuma)) / Poofessor: Voiced by: Yuko Sasamoto (Japanese); Johnny Yong Bosch (English); A Legendary bear Yo-kai of the Shady Tribe who makes people spout off trivia in his search for the one true piece of trivia that will make him happy. In Yo-kai Watch 2, the Yo-kai required to unlock Poofessor are Steppa, Venoct, Cheeksqueek, Grainpa, Kyubi, Daiz, Fidgephant, and Snartle. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Poofessor are Cuttincheez, Snottle, Messyrai, Shedwin, Spewart, Nonuttin, Moskevil, and Dismarelda. He seems to make everyone want to know more, as he even affects Jibanyan with his knowledge of Next HarMEOWny. Nate calls on Komasan, instead, who is easily amazed by things around him more than he is by Poofessor's bits of trivia, leading to Poofessor's defeat. However, Poofessor reveals he is a Legendary Yo-kai as he eats the poop on his wand to reveal his true form as Whisper and Nate discover the true meaning of his name.

Ikemenken (イケメン犬, from ikemen (イケメン, "handsome man")) / Dandoodle: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A Legendary human-faced poodle Yo-kai of the Eerie Tribe who was born in a similar manner to Manjimutt, being a young businessman who died in a freak accident near a toy poodle. In Yo-kai Watch, the Yo-kai required to unlock Dandoodle are Manjimutt, Cuttincheeze, Drizzle, Everfore, Insomni, Skreek, Compunzer, and Nagatha. In Yo-kai Watch 2, the Yo-kai required to unlock Dandoodle are Ray O'Light, Skreek, Casanuva, Tattlecast, Multimutt, Lie-in Heart, Badude, and Shmoopie. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Dandoodle are Casanuva, Ray O'Light, Carniboy, Lappinitup, Whirlweasel, Tenguriginal, Thurston, and Kyubi. In the anime, the Yo-kai that Nate acquired to unlock Dandoodle are Baku, Babblong, Dazzabel, Noway, Peppillon, and Spenp. Every way that Manjimutt has failed in his afterlife, Dandoodle succeeds. He gets away from arrests easily by charming his guards and is the object of many women's affections. He also has an aura that makes people, Yo-kai, and even insects and inanimate objects become handsome and admired.

Yamatan (やまタン, from Yamata no Orochi and tan (タン, "tongue")) / Slurpent: A Legendary snake Yo-kai of the Slippery Tribe with eight tongues who was born from the fusion of eight dragons and their personalities. Anyone it Inspirits becomes irresponsible and "eight-tongued". In both Yo-kai Watch 2 and Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Slurpent are Devourer, Kingmera, Uber Geeko, Tigappa, Unikirin, Eyellure, Arachnia, and Mermother. These Yo-kai can be befriended from the Crank-a-kai in the past or in the Infinite Tunnel.

Batan Q (ばたんＱ) / Re-Q-Perate: A Legendary Yo-kai of the Eerie Tribe which has a Q floating above its head and is surrounded by floating balls. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Re-Q-Perate are Nunchucky, Snow Spect-hare, El Shakador, Inflammaboy, Sonic Bam, Dr. Nocturne, Horridjinn, and Clodzilla.

Asura (あしゅら): A Legendary humanoid Yo-kai of the Brave Tribe with six arms. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Asura are Illuminoct, The Jawsome Kid, Dr. E. Raser, Slackoon, Pride Shrimp, Unbearaboy, Double Time, and Skillskull.

Otohime (乙姫, from Toyotama-hime) / Princess Pearl: A Legendary humanoid female Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe that rides a large anglerfish. In Yo-kai Watch 3, the Yo-kai required to unlock Princess Pearl are Darkyubi, D-Stroy, Shurikenny, Krystal Fox, Admirable Admiral, Agent Spect-hare, Oridjinn, and Flamurice.

Wicked

The Wicked Tribe (カイマ族, Kaima-zoku, "Kaima tribe") Yo-kai are powerful Yo-kai introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2, with five notable Wicked Yo-kai being collectively known as Wicked Executives (怪魔エリート, Kaima Erīto). The Wicked Executives can also control the Wicked Servants (怪, "Kai", "customized") Yo-kai, regular Yo-kai who have become Wicked and wear a mask. Their summoning jingle is "Wicked! Stic-ked! Red J (レッドJ, Reddo Jei) / Rubeus J: A towering red anthropomorphic cat Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe. He is responsible for destroying Venoct's village and killing Venoct's human self, causing him to become a Yo-kai. Since then, Venoct has been looking for Rubeus J, which led to his encounter with Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan. Rubeus J is served by his unidentified subordinates, which include an iron flail-wielding hound Yo-kai, a violent woman Yo-kai who is known for slicing people in half, a Yo-kai strategist, and a Yo-kai with no special qualities. When Rubeus J and his subordinates were defeated by Venoct, Rubeus J states that he answers to Hardy Hound, who is more stronger than him.

Mighty Dog (マイティードッグ, Maitī Doggu) / Hardy Hound: A towering lion dog Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe who is friends with Rubeus J.

Dondoro (どんどろ, from don (丼, "bowl") and doro (どろ, "sludge")) / Wobblewok: A black mass Yo-kai in a giant rice cooker, who was sealed in the Infinite Inferno because of its raw power. See Shady Tribe for more information.

Prison Breaker (プリズンブレイカー, Purizun Bureikā, from Prison Break) / Mass Mutterer: A humanoid poodle Yo-kai who resembles Manjimutt in prison attire.

Whismellowman (ウィスマロマン, Wisumaroman, from Stay Puft Marshmallow Man) / Whisped Cream: A colossal ghost Yo-kai that resembles Whisper, but wears a hat and a scarf.

Tokio Ubaune (トキヲ・ウバウネ, from toki o ubau ne (時を奪うね, "I steal time")) / Dame Dedtime: Voiced by: Kataoka Ainosuke IV (Japanese); Alicyn Packard (English); An elderly woman Yo-kai who is the main antagonist of Yo-kai Watch: The Movie as well as Yo-kai Watch 2. She was once a human named Madame Otoki whom Shogun Waitington wrongfully accused of breaking his clock. She ultimately died in jail, and now wants to take other's time just as she was robbed of her own.

Subete Ubaune (スベテ・ウバウネ, from subete ubau ne (全て奪うね, "I steal all")) / Dame Demona: The final form of Dame Dedtime.

Chairman Ikakamone (イカカモネ議長, Ikakamone-gichō, from ika kamo ne (いかかもね, "could be a squid")) / McKraken: A squid Yo-kai whose full name is Hell's chairman Ikakamone Sōkamone (魔界議長イカカモネ・ソウカモネ, Makaigichō Ikakamone Sōkamone) Squiddilus McKracken. He is the main antagonist of the first game.

Chairman Ikakamone (second form) / McKraken (second form): A more monstrous form of McKraken.

Kabukiroid (カブキロイド, Kabukiroido) / Kabuking: A robotic kabuki Yo-kai who can be fought at Gera Gera Resort.

Robonyan 28 (ロボニャン28号, Robonyan Nijūhachi-gō, from Tetsujin 28-go): A giant robot Yo-kai who is similar to Robonyan.

Ayatori-sama (あやとりさま, from ayatori (綾取り, "cat's cradle")) / Kat Kraydel: A multi-armed Yo-kai that control people's threads of fate, and resides in the Divine Paradise.

Hi no Shin (日ノ神, from Akihiro Hino) / Hinozall: A multi-armed Yo-kai who is based on Akihiro Hino, the president and CEO of Level-5 and creator of the Yo-kai Watch franchise.

Akamaneki (赤魔寝鬼) / Red Paws: A red Maneki-neko Yo-kai who appears in Yo-kai Watch Blasters and can be challenged by placing 1,000 insignias on the statue of Swirlious Omai in the YBA Hall.

Shirokoma (白古魔) / Swirlious Omai: A white Komainu Yo-kai that carries a one-eyed golden egg. It appears in Yo-kai Watch Blasters and can be challenged by placing 1,000 insignias on the statue of Red Paws in the YBA Hall.

Daiyoki Hogewhale / Narwail: A whale Yo-kai of the Slippery Tribe. It has reality-warping powers and is the main antagonist of Yo-kai Watch: Soratobu Kujira to Double no Sekai no Daibōken da Nyan!.

Kujiraman / Whaleman: Narwail's true humanoid form of the Mysterious Tribe.

IcarOS: First introduced in the Japanese-exclusive arcade game Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Iron Oni Force, he debuts in the anime in episode 153. He also appears as a boss in Yo-kai Watch 3's Blasters T mode.

Yo-kai Watch 3 adds more Yo-kai to the franchise, including the Merican Yo-kai (メリケン妖怪, Meriken Yōkai) that come from the United States.

Pintocorn (ピントコーン, from pintokonai (ピント来ない, "can't get a hint") and kōn (コーン, "corn")) / Cornfused: Voiced by: Miho Hino; A corn on the cob 'Merican Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe who is the first 'Merican Yo-kai Nate meets. It possesses him when he first receives the Yo-kai Watch U Prototype model, making him disinterested in all its new features. After being found, it backs off and gives Nate its 'Merican Medal.

Otonabull (おとなブル, Otonaburu, from Otonabuttari (大人ぶったり, "acting like an adult") and burudoggu (ブルドッグ, "bulldog")) / Puppiccino: Voiced by: Aya Endō; A bulldog-like 'Merican Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe that pretends to be a mature adult and makes kids he Inspirits do the same. While accompanying Nate for a day at his request for him to impress Katie, he encounters Manjimutt, who lives the ideal adult life he has dreamed of. As a result, he admits to his actions being a ruse he read from a guidebook and asks Manjimutt to accept him as an apprentice of sorts, giving Nate his 'Merican Medal as gratitude for the encounter.

Sundaepapa (サンデーパパ, Sandēpapa, from Sandē (サンデー, "Sunday"), "papa" (パパ) and Sandē (サンデー, "Sundae")) / Lazy Sundae: Voiced by: Naoki Bandō; A chocolate sundae 'Merican Yo-kai of the Heartful Tribe with a man's face and legs. He makes fathers they Inspirit promise their family a fun Sunday outing, only to be too sleepy on the day itself to fulfil that promise. They interact with each other much like colleagues in a business, and their looks vary based on their position in the company, with higher-up bosses and presidents looking more extravagant.

Dasocks (ダソックス, Dasokkusu, from dasoku (蛇足, "redundancy" or "snake feet") and sokkusu (ソックス, "socks")) / Putasockinit: A snake-like sock puppet 'Merican Yo-kai of the Slippery Tribe. Those it Inspirits adds useless tidbits to people's conversations.

Taraimawashi (たらいまわし, from taraimawashi (たらい回し, "evading responsibility") and tarai (盥, "washtub")) / Rinsin Repete: A Yo-kai of the Eerie Tribe that causes anyone it Inspirits to be passed from one person to another.

Ottamagator (オッタマゲーター, Ottamagētā, from ottamagē (オッタマゲー, "crikey") and "alligator" (アリゲーター)) / OMGator: Voiced by: Yuya Murakami; A cartoon alligator 'Merican Yo-kai of the Slippery Tribe who makes people overreact to the slightest of things. When he was alive, he was hatched into a family of swans and raised as one regardless. However, one day he saw his reflection and realized he was an alligator. He passed out from the shock and drowned in a river, becoming a Yo-kai as a result. After Nate helps him to remember his past, he gives him his 'Merican Medal as his family of swans arrives to bring him home.

Annojoe (あんのジョー, Annojō, from annojō (案の定, "just as I thought")) / Rocky Badboya: A boxer 'Merican Yo-kai of the Shady Tribe who causes the worst outcome to happen. He is a parody of Rocky Balboa.

Kotenpan (こてんパン, from kotenpan (こてんぱん, "beaten black and blue") and pan (パン, "bread")) / Buttered Blue: A beaten-up bread slice 'Merican Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe who can withstand large amounts of pain.

Jikoken-o (じこけん王, Jikoken'ō, from jikoken'o (自己嫌悪, "self-hatred")) / DisliKing: A short humanoid Yo-kai of the Shady Tribe who causes people to hate themselves over tiny matters.

Kapper (カッパー, Kappā, from "rapper" (ラッパー, rappā)) / Lil Kappa: A rapper-themed Kappa Yo-kai of the Shady Tribe, who resembles Faux Kappa.

Edison (エジソン, Ejison)|/ Thomas Energison: A Legendary Pioneer Yo-kai (偉人レジェンド妖怪, Ijin Rejendo Yōkai) with a lightbulb head and a phonograph instead of legs, formed from the ghost of Thomas Edison. He leads all other electrical Yo-kai, such as when he told Statikings to get back to work and save Christmas.

Seidenki (せいでん鬼, from seidenki (静電気, "static electricity")) / Statikid: A small Oni Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe who can create static electricity. He is the nephew of Papa Bolt.

Ieay (家ーイ, Iēi, from ie (家, "house") and "yay" (イェーイ, yēi)) / House Partay: A cartoony house 'Merican Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe who causes anyone it inspirits to party harder than usual.

Necolumbus (寝コロンブス, Nekoronbusu, from nekorogaru (寝転がる, "to lie down") and neko (猫, "cat")) / Kittylumbus: Voiced by: Kiyono Yasuno; A cat-like 'Merican Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe. Like his basis, Christopher Columbus, Necocolumbus travels the world searching for the best continent to laze around on, and causes those it Inspirits to laze around at home all day. Nate encounters him after he Inspirits his parents, and after sensing a kindred spirit in him, Hidabat gives him the perfect home to laze around in. He eventually starts an online shopping site and becoming president.

Columbus (コロンブス, Koronbusu)|/ Columbakat: Voiced by: Tōru Nara; A cat-like Yokai of the Brave Tribe who rides in a boat and was formed from the ghost of Christopher Columbus. In the anime, he was originally Kittylumbus, but grew tired of lazing around. He decided to use the money he earned from his online shopping business to travel on a ship across the Yo-kai World and discover new continents, bidding farewell to Nate as he gave him his Great Legend Medal.

Kamikakushi (紙かくし, from kami (紙, "paper") and kamikakushi (神隠し, "spirited away")) / Throne Wiper: A humanoid Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe with paper in front of his eyes. He can hide paper from peoples' sight.

Karayaburi (カラヤブリ, from kara o yaburu (殻を破る, "to break out of your shell")) / Unshelltered: An egg 'Merican Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe who can help others break out of their shells.

Inchicken (インチキン, Inchikin, from inchiki (インチキ, "fraud") and "chicken" (チキン)) / Crook-a-doodle: Voiced by: Yuya Murakami; A 'Merican Yo-kai of the Shady Tribe who makes people he inspirits cheat and lie, and fools others into thinking he's a chicken. When Nate summons Hungramps to confront him, he admits he is not a chicken, but rather a white crow who could not fit in with his kind. He turned to pretending to be a chicken for an easier life. He apologizes to Nate as he surrenders his 'Merican Medal and flies off, only for his story and his Medal to be exposed as a fraud.

Karikari Bacon (カリカリベーコン, Karikari Bēkon, from karikari (カリカリ, "touchy; grumpy" or "crispy")) / Salty Bacon: A bacon 'Merican Yo-kai of the Shady Tribe who makes anyone he Inspirits angered and stressed out about tedious and annoying things. When he gets angry, he can also make actual bacon hotter and tasty.

Ponkotsu (ポン骨, from ponkotsu (ポンコツ, "piece of junk")) / Nummskull: A skull-headed Yo-kai of the Tough Tribe who can cause electrical devices to malfunction. Those he Inspirits become discombobulated.

Kakusan (カクさん, from kakusan (拡散, "scattering")) / Mr. Blockhead: A rectangular Yo-kai of the Tough Tribe who causes rumors to spread quickly.

Marunugget (まるナゲット, Marunagetto)|/ Chicken Chukket: A humanoid chicken nugget 'Merican Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe, who causes those it Inspirits to push work onto others.

'Merican Legendary Yo-kai

The 'Merican Legendary Yo-kai are a set of Legendary Yo-kai that come from America. Half of the 'Merican Legendary Yo-kai debuted in Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi and Yo-kai Watch 3: Tempura. In Yo-kai Watch 3: Sukiyaki, the remaining four 'Merican Legendary Yo-kai are introduced to complete the set of 8 'Merican Legendary Yo-kai:

Kirakoma / Koma Star: A 'Merican Legendary Komainu Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe. He is a recolored and scarf-wearing version of Komashura who has stars across his body.

Platinum Oni / Platinos: A 'Merican Legendary platinum-colored Oni of the Tough Tribe with one horn and an afro. He is a recolored and redesigned version of Gilgaros.

Princess Speech / Gabby: A 'Merican Legendary ballerina Yo-kai of the Charming Tribe that can improve anyone's speaking abilities. She is a recolored version of Spoilerina.

Bourgeois G / Flash T. Cash: A 'Merican Legendary old man Yo-kai of the Heartful Tribe that is a mix of Hungramps, Supersize Gramps, and Elder Bloom. He has a gray beard and wears a white tuxedo.

Trivea / Teducator: A 'Merican Legendary blue bear Yo-kai of the Shady Tribe. He is a recolored version of Poofessor where he now wears a bird nest with a white bird in it, carries a maroon-colored dictionary, and wears a toga.

Gentlemenken / Gentlemutt: A 'Merican Legendary man-faced poodle Yo-kai of the Eerie Tribe that sports a top hat, a monocle, a white collar, and a black bowtie. Unlike Manjimutt and Dandoodle, Gentlemutt is the size of a normal poodle.

Jimanhattan / City Licker: A 'Merican Legendary snake Yo-kai with eight tongues. He is a recolored version of Slurpent with skyscraper-like structures on top of his head and a lightbulb-tipped tail.

Steve Jaws (スティーブ・ジョーズ, Sutību Jōzu, from "Steve Jobs" (スティーブ・ジョブズ, Sutību Jobuzu) and Jaws (ジョーズ, Jōzu)): Voiced by: Kensuke Satō (Japanese); Paul Greenberg (English); A shark-like Yo-kai of the Slippery Tribe who is the president of Yopple and the alleged creator of the Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai Watch Model Zero. He steps down from the company after news spreads that he was not the actual creator.

Mister Movien (ミスタームービーン, Misutā Mūbīn) / Directator: Voiced by: Tadashi Miyazawa; A film director Yo-kai of the Mysterious Tribe who traps Nate, Whisper, Jibanyan, Komasan, and Kyubi in a recreation of Journey to the West. He later casts Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan in the Titanic. He later appears in some side quests in Yo-kai Watch 2's Psychic Specters version.

Mark Shachiberg (マーク・シャッチーバーグ, Māku Shatchībāgu, from "Mark Zuckerberg" (マーク・ザッカーバーグ, Māku Zakkābāgu) and shachi (シャチ, "orca")) / Mark Orckerberg: Voiced by: Masahito Yabe; A killer whale Yo-kai of the Slippery Tribe who becomes the new president of Yopple after Steve Jaws steps down. He is currently developing the Yo-kai Watch U, giving a prototype to Nate through Hidabat after he spent the night before in Hidabat's closet.
