What was his rank?

[edit]

Some sources seem to suggest that Friedrich Olbricht's rank in the army was that of Colonel General, and not merely General of the Infantry (one rank lower). Was Olbricht's promotion to the rank of General of the Infantry in 1940 his last promotion, or did he get promoted later on (to the rank of Colonel general)? --L.Smithfield (talk) 16:22, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Adolf Hitler and his commanders in the Wolfsschanze were able to broadcast a speech after the coup which in turn led to the quick demise of the coup as a whole."

Nonsense. Hitler's speech was broadcast after midnight (see Kershaw and most other literature), the coup had failed hours before. But radio did broadcast newsflashes that Hitler had survived a coup attempt. 2A02:AA1:1629:1926:BCDF:15E0:8258:CF3F (talk) 11:13, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
