I really don't think Joel played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in 1991? Have you seen the guy? I think someone needs to check the accuracy of that info. 70.124.83.192 04:23, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Dave

Not a Husker - a Husky, as in U of Washington Docwu (talk) 21:18, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
yeah, you should do your research before making any posts on a topic RBE — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.30.95.23 (talk) 03:27, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
I heard a rumor that said that when Jon Stewart leaves The Daily Show Joel would become the person to replace him. Is this true?User:Alfredosolis
Why not use the one from The Soup? I would put it there, but idk how. 67.82.239.20 23:32, 17 September 2007 (UTC) Edited per WP:TALK and WP:BLP. Killiondude (talk) 09:05, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Article says Rome Italy but infobox says Seattle. Which is it? - eo (talk) 02:25, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Also, it says he was born in Rome, but why was he? Military family, missionary, athletic? I would have liked to see why he was born there, now that I saw that he was. I personally know that these things are fairly common, so I don't mean to seem narrow-minded, just curious. ABart26 (talk) 09:26, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
The article also states that he is of Nordic descent, I assume this is supposed to be Norwegian or perhaps Scandinavian, unless we have been transported to 1930s Germany and 'Nordic' is again a racial category. Anyway anyone who has more specific information please add it.99.29.184.72 (talk) 00:34, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
I have semi protected the article, because of the inappropriate material added by (presumably) one person editing from IP addresses. Please note that all personal information should be sourced to reliable sources, and blogs, house listing sites, and IMDB are not reliable sources. Moreover, WP:BLP means we must be sensitive the relevance of personal information we provide. What is relevant is that McHale is married and has two children. What we don't need to do is provide explicit personal or identifying information of McHale's family.
If you don't have an account and wish to add something to this page, feel free to note it here and an established editor will add it to the article. Thanks. Rockpocket 20:54, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Anyone know how tall he is? There's a huge height disparity between him and the occasional real-life guest. Just curious whether he's a giant, or his guests are midgets, or whether perhaps it's a camera trick. Cantras (talk) 02:50, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
People keep removing the Theta Chi information from this article. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean that it should be removed. Here's the exact quote from the source:
Joel McHale: ...and the other thing it says on my Wikipedia page is that I was in the Theta Chi fraternity. Yes I was, but -- for three horrible months of my life, and I couldn't stand it.
So stop removing it. It's a direct quote. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 17:58, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
The end of that subheading should be revised to be less subjective. Or at least quote someone who thinks he's subversive and has killer off-kilter material. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.63.132.239 (talk) 03:59, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Got an email from Hale asking him if he was an atheist, he answered yes, you can verify this information but i do have the email itself, will post it if needed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.222.198.183 (talk • contribs) 23:02, October 24, 2009
It reads like a fifth grader's biography report on someone famous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.117.222.238 (talk) 03:58, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
If he was born in Italy shouldn't his page say "is an Italian-American comedian and actor" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.117.240.158 (talk) 22:14, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Uhm, why? Just because he was born in Italy doesn't make him Italian. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.79.2.203 (talk) 06:53, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
I removed the mention of him being Jewish from the article - he states here that he was raised Catholic, and his mother mentions here that the family is Catholic. I suppose he could have converted, but what exactly does the Yedioth Ahronoth source state? Knowing that would help clear this up. I also removed the statement that he is of "Irish and Nordic descent". The cited source didn't mention either (and "Nordic" isn't a country...) All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 19:50, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Joel McHale is an Italian American standup comedian and he was born in Italy so it should say hes Italian American.Danny 80y (talk) 12:52, 17 April 2012 (UTC) Danny 80y
