The 1931 European Championship was won by Ferdinando Minoia. However, this competition only had 3 races, and so I ignored that championship and redid it. Minoia won no races this year, not even minor Grands Prix. He won the championship because of the endurance format of this season. The three Grand Épreuves ran for 10 hours and whoever was ahead at that time won, much like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This resulted in a lot of retirements. Minoia never retired and so won the championship.
Points were awarded on an 16–12–8–6–4 basis to the first five finishers at each Grand Épreuve, with an additional point awarded for setting the fastest lap. For the other major Grands Prix, half points were awarded: 8-6-4-3-2. An additional point was still awarded for fastest lap. All races counted for points.
Usually I split points in half (or, rarely, in thirds) if more than one driver drove in a race, but because of the format of the three Grand Épreuves (which basically precludes single-driver races), I am not doing that for those races.
The 1931 Rome Grand Prix and 1931 Monza Grand Prix had 3 different classes. 1 point was awarded for winning a class (except if that person also won the race).

The 1932 European Championship was won by Tazio Nuvolari. However, this competition only had 3 races, and so I ignored that championship and redid it. In the end, it didn't matter, as Nuvolari did in fact dominate this season.
