Hi, I've noticed that you have been changing the genus of birds in Wikipedia articles such as the blue crane, the demoiselle crane and the bluethroat.
English Wikipedia uses the taxonomy and the common names of the IOC World Bird List as explained here.
There are other world checklists including BLI/IUCN, Clements, and Howard & Moore 4. A project has been established to create a single taxonomy for world birds by the "Working Group Avian Checklists" – you can read about it here. It uses the IOC list as a starting point. - Aa77zz (talk) 09:16, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
Howdy. If you are changing a redirect into a full article, you don’t need to hit revert. You can just edit. Reverting implies something is wrong and you want to return to an older version of the article. awkwafaba (📥) 16:38, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
Your move of Lactarius has been reverted. Do not move an existing title to create a WP:TWODABS disambiguation page at that title without discussion. The correct way to do this is to file a move request through the procedures outlines at Wikipedia:Requested moves. BD2412 T 20:04, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
Blank-and-redirect explicitly disallows copy/paste pagemoves. Please keep this in mind going forward. Primefac (talk) 10:35, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Hi. Saw your edit here. I reverted and redid it as I think it's better to use an ((Automatic taxobox)) with manual parameters. Please take a look just to make sure you're happy. I also put the taxonbar back. Thanks. YorkshireExpat (talk) 21:03, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
Hi, I noted your edits to Triplophysa and thank you for editing articles on fishes. Please note that in a list of taxa you should only name each taxonomic authority once, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking. Quetzal1964 (talk) 17:12, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Procambarus alleni a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 14:30, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Stygobromus araeus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Interstitial. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:58, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Category:Books with cover art by Michael Koelsch requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2021 June 3#Category:Books with cover art by Michael Koelsch. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Ganesha811 (talk) 14:49, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Phreatobite requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://speleogenesis.com/resources/glossary/glossary-by-letter-p/details/11/1762.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Taxonbars should not be placed above an External links section, as you had done at mayhaw, nor above a navbox as you had at Pildra. Taxonbars go at the end of the page. The only things that should come after them are ((Authority control)) (if present), categories and stub-sorting templates (if present). Plantdrew (talk) 17:28, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

The Herald (Benison) (talk) 05:34, 20 February 2024 (UTC)Please note that user sandbox pages, such as your User:Big Blue Cray(fish) Twins/sandbox, are not allowed to be filed in mainspace categories as if they were already finished articles. The page must stay out of categories while it's in sandbox, and categories are to be added only if and when the content is actually being moved into a real article. Since I've already had to remove the page from categories three times in the space of just one month, please also note that it is a thing you can be sanctioned for being disruptive if it continues, so please do not readd your sandbox page to categories again.
