Re: Email[edit]

Hi. I have gotten your email, and do wish to offer my assistance as an online ambassador, but will have to go through that centralized re-registration process. My time right now is somewhat constrained, so I apologize for the late response, but you can still ask me a question anytime. I will be online occasionally to check for messages. Thanks. ~AH1 (discuss!) 17:05, 1 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

A question about instructions given to students[edit]

Have you asked them to read WP:COPYVIO and WP:Close paraphrase? I've seen a couple of edits that concern me but I don't have the original source. I did leave a message for User talk:CharlesK6567. If you could reply at my talk page it would be helpful. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 12:43, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There's also User:Tdwyer9532/sandbox and his/her recent edit. Besides any copyright concerns, it needs to reflect the main article at Herod the Great - see WP:Summary style. A ((main article)) template would also be useful. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 12:49, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

ArbCom case[edit]

You should be aware of the discussion at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case#Holocaust in Poland. --Tryptofish (talk) 21:55, 14 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi[edit]

I have read this article with some interest. As I understand it, you are one of the authors. I note that you cite wikipedia diffs, going back 14-15 years. May I ask; how did you find those diffs? Did you look through every edit some wikipedians have done these last 15 years? Just curious. Cheers, Huldra (talk) 23:16, 14 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

World War II and the history of Jews in Poland: Arbitration case opened[edit]

Hello Chapmansh,

You were recently listed as a party to a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland/Evidence. Please add your evidence by April 04, 2023, which is when the first evidence phase closes. Submitted evidence will be summarized by Arbitrators and Clerks at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland/Evidence/Summary. Owing to the summary style, editors are encouraged to submit evidence in small chunks sooner rather than more complete evidence later.

Details about the summary page, the two phases of evidence, a timeline and other answers to frequently asked questions can be found at the case's FAQ page.

For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration.

For the Arbitration Committee,

Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland closed[edit]

An arbitration case, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/World War II and the history of Jews in Poland, has now closed and the final decision is viewable at the link above. The following remedies have been enacted:

Should any user subject to a restriction in this case violate that restriction, that user may be blocked for up to 1 year. Administrators placing blocks should take into account an editor's overall conduct and Arbitration history and seriously consider increasing the duration of blocks. Any block 3 months or longer should be reported for automatic review either (1) at ARCA or (2) to an arbitrator or clerk who will open a review at ARCA. The committee will consider presented evidence and statements before deciding by motion what, if any, actions are necessary, up to and including a site ban.

For the Arbitration Committee,

Nazi bias of List of Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross recipients[edit]

Dear Dr. Klein,

Wehrmacht and Waffen SS committed many crimes during the war. I think that the List is a monument of German militarism and Nazism.

Hermann Göring obtained the highest Cross as a Nazi. He was a convicted war criminal, such information is withheld.
I assume that many listed persons were criminals.
The List is based on self-published sources:
de:Walther-Peer Fellgiebel, see Publizistik
de:Veit Scherzer was an Optician, lacks any military or historical education.
