October 2012 (cut/paste moves)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --Bongwarrior (talk) 03:56, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and paste moves

Do not move pages by copying the contents from one page to another. Doing so destroys the editing history of the article and violates the licenses under which people contribute to Wikipedia. A "move" button will be made available to you after you have sufficient edits. Until then (or in cases where the "move" button won't work for technical reasons), use WP:RM to request that others move the pages for you.

If you move a page by cutting and pasting again, you will be blocked from editing.—Kww(talk) 04:57, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and paste moves without consensus

I left you a note at "Teeth"'s talk page about moving the page back and forth. Please follow the established page moving techniques mentioned in the two sections above before cut and pasting the article again. czar · · 16:57, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

October 2012

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Pink Friday. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 03:50, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did here to Born This Way, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 04:32, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Born This Way, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 17:07, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Breakout (Miley Cyrus album), you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 22:03, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! SummerPhD (talk) 01:09, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Let It Shine (soundtrack), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spencer Lee (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Blocked

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for ignoring this warning. Any administrator can unblock when user indicates that he understands that he must not move articles by cutting and pasting the contents and agrees to use the standard "move" function and WP:RM. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text ((unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~)), but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Unblock condition met.—Kww(talk) 04:05, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Then why did you continue trying to do it when I had specifically told you to stop, given you specific instructions on how to do it, and even given you a link to a page where other people would help you?—Kww(talk) 19:53, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why I didn't, but I think I get it now, there's a arrow right by the star on the top, and then you click it and press move.—Christopher10006 14:09, 20 November 2012 (Texas)
And what will you do when the "move" button says you can't use it? (Hint ... I've already told you).—Kww(talk) 21:20, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Look at the warning I gave you earlier, and actually read it this time.—Kww(talk) 23:27, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I didn't know what I was doing and I thought that after time it would turn to the page I changed it to, but I learned that it was actually other people moving it to the new page, I'm sorry I didn't do something about it before and I read it, it is this (If you move a page by cutting and pasting again, you will be blocked from editing), I'm sorry—Christopher10006 20:11 20 November 2012 (Texas)
And I'm sorry, too, but a very important part of my job is making sure that if I unblock you, things won't go wrong again. Part of that is making sure that you can read and understand instructions. In my first warning, I told you where to go to request that other people perform a move. Where is it that I told you go go?—Kww(talk) 02:23, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Episode titles again

As per the discussion above please stop changing episode titles and removing cited content, as you did at List of Dog with a Blog episodes.[2] This is almost the same change that you made previously,[3] and which you were warned about. --AussieLegend () 19:15, 17 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Final and only warning

You have been repeatedly asked to not make such frivolous article movings such as this and this. Your reason for the move is not verifiable and has been reverted. You continued to make controversial moves anyway after several warnings by other users. You absolutely should have started consensus before you even renamed it in the first place. If you rename another article without seeking consensus on the article's talk page, you will be blocked again for much longer, indefinitely. And also, consider this as your final and only warning. IPadPerson (talk) 21:47, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

You've previously been warned several times and even blocked because of your original research editing and yet today you made this edit because you felt that unused production codes made more sense than the production code that was supported by both of the sources in the column heading. --AussieLegend () 04:14, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your restoration of the above original research 6 minutes after I posted the above is completely unnaceptable. I have asked for administrative intervention regarding your edits from the administrator who recently blocked you. Because you deliberately restored the content that you were warned about after I warned you, I have also left a report at WP:AIV. In the event that you are not indefinitely blocked I don't think I have any choice but to initiate a discussion at WP:ANI about your competency to edit Wikipedia given the numerous warnings that you have been given and your apparent unwillingness to comply with any of them. The block should have been a serious warning to you that your editing style cannot continue but you have not heeded the warning. --AussieLegend () 04:51, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

Once again, you are basing your edits and page moves basses on WP:OR, and not Wikipedia policy. While I don't believe it warrants a permanent block yet, these blocks are going to keep getting longer as long as you keep ignoring these warnings. You are blocked for 2 weeks this time. Sergecross73 msg me 12:57, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing and more original research

It was only recently that Sergecross73 blocked you for two weeks for continuing to add original research to articles. You should have gotten the message by then that everything has to be reliably sourced but you still don't seem to have. Only a couple of hours ago Geraldo Perez reverted two of your edits, pointing out that nickandmore.com is not a reliable source.[5][6] You appeared to have realised that when you soon after added another nickandmore reference,[7] but then reverted, with "sorry" as your edit summary.[8] Clearly though, you did not, because you've now added a nickandmore reference to another article.[9] The edit summary indicates you used original research in that edit. To make it perfectly clear:

I don't think I can make that any more clear. --AussieLegend () 20:18, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I find it concerning there's a lot of complaints about your editing again already, right after you just got off of a block. Do you have anything to say in your defense, Christopher10006? Sergecross73 msg me 02:25, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't answer my direct question to you, or even acknowledge it, for starters... Sergecross73 msg me 00:36, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well I never knew I blanked out I Didn't Do It I thought it was still there. And I do have some questions like how many people need to agree with you to move a page. And shouldn't character history be put in articles. And I don't use nickandmore anymore because on Jessie The Whining is 201 but they switch it with Green-Eyed Monsters (202) on nickandmore. And they did that in Lost in Stanslation. Christopher10006 (talk) 02:58, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's not that there needs to be a certain number if people approving page moves, it's just that the moves need to be consistent with article title guidelines and disambiguation guidelines, and have a general consensus supporting it. And I think that's part of the problem, you like to dedicate time to page moves without knowing the protocol... Sergecross73 msg me 03:08, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's confusing to tell how the articles should be correctly displayed. I like making sure that articles are as correct as they should be but I guess I don't do a good job. Christopher10006 (talk) 03:19, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As the blocking admin, I have discussed your block with Sergecross73 on his talk page. As you can see, he and I have agreed that if you want to continue to edit Wikipedia, you should now familiarise yourself with the guide to appealing blocks. If you think you can satisfy its requirements you should then carefully draft an appeal using the appropriate template, as explained in the above block notice.  —SMALLJIM  23:07, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I support the above. If you do that, and start familiarizing yourself with Wikipedia's standards for article naming/disambiguation, you may be able to come back and contribute better. I do believe a core problem is that you continue to make changes how you think they should be, when in reality, you need to be either doing as Wikipedia guidelines state, or work towards changing said guidelines rather than just ignoring them, and the advice you've been offered. Either way, things need to be standardized, or we're stuck with constant arguing and change if we're left to people's personal opinions. Sergecross73 msg me 03:31, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well I can't argue with you, I understand why I'm blocked, but there's nothing else I can do to make you unblock me, I guess I'll just have to find something else to do. But I really love editing for Wikipedia, but thank you for listening to my talk page subcategories, Bye. Christopher10006 (talk) 02:52, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The is something you can do to encourage an administrator to unblock you. You can familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines and then demonstrate that you understand them. --AussieLegend () 03:35, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I was such a horrible researcher and editor. I read the policies and guidelines and I realized I've been doing everything wrong, but I learned, and if you unblock me I promise to be a better user, but if you think I'm not ready I understand.
