Can you change the requested name at WP:CFR to remove the word "men's" from it as well, so the new name would read Category:Austin Peay State Governors basketball coaches? I renamed the main article since your nomination and didn't want to alter your request. I renamed the main article to Austin Peay State Governors basketball as the men's basketball name is the Governors and the women's team is named the Lady Governors, just like the Tennessee Volunteers basketball and Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball. — Moe ε 00:30, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello Jrcla2,
I see that you recently moved SIUE Cougars back to SIU Edwardsville Cougars citing naming convention. However, you didn't specify which naming convention you were referring to. Myself and a few other editors have been putting a lot of effort into the SIUE articles over the past few weeks and one thing we have been striving for is consistency. SIUE never refers to itself as "SIU Edwardsville" (at least not anymore) so we have been using the SIUE abbreviation everywhere. As you can see by looking at SIUE College of Arts and Sciences, SIUE School of Business, SIUE Graduate School, The Gardens at SIUE and many others, this format is standard. If you would like to discuss this issue, I'd be happy to over at Talk:SIUE Cougars. Thanks for your concern and have a great day! Illinois2011 (talk) 04:37, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your revert. The anonymous editor left a message on my talk page saying that he had personally spoken to Phil Roof, and that Phil had approved of his edits. The article is still full of original research, but I was wary of getting into an edit war, so I left it as is. I appreciate your support!Orsoni (talk) 00:31, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
There was a reason for the changes I made to Orsoni's edits to Phil Roof. For starters, some of what he wrote was inaccurate. Also, in the header, he removed the fact that he was the first man signed by the Toronto Blue Jays. It may be the single most distinguishable aspect of his career. I'm not sure why that would be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.54.247.141 (talk) 22:45, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
The reference to his being the first player to be signed by the blue jays is still in the opening paragraph. I never removed it. In fact, I didn't remove anything that you wrote except to change the wording so that the tone of the article was less like a sports article and more like an encyclopedic entry. The words "hot start" would be out of place in an encyclopedia article. But Jrcla2 is right, we shouldn't discuss this here, but on WT:BASEBALL.Orsoni (talk) 13:41, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the Wildcats men's basketball navbox is one of several UK sports navboxes, including football, women's basketball, etc., all of which retain the previous shade of blue. I saw your request to rename Category:Lists of men's college basketball players to Category:Lists of college men's basketball players. I'm fine if that's the convention for cats, but most articles list the gender first. Go figure. I was also looking further into other categories and wondered if it should be renamed to Category:Lists of college men's basketball players in the United States, similar to Category:College men's basketball players in the United States. Hi, I see you and another editor are disagreeing about the references in the infobox of the above page. I am not aware of the specifics of needing to cite within an infobox, so I won't address that. Jrcla, I assume that you and Rikster will back my edits and solution to the Gregg Marshall records table controversy. I have replaced 20+ separate footnotes for damn near every data point in the table with just two comprehensive footnote sources from the Big South and Wichita State. The ridiculous clutter has been removed. If anyone objects to the placement of the two footnotes within the table, they can also be placed outside the table, immediately following it. Either practice is acceptable. Don't let the bastards get you down. Cheers. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 20:36, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:
It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.
At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).
Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.

There are a couple of 2-3 redlink CPOY templates out there that would be easy to finish. Metro Conference has 2 redlinks while the Mountain West has three (including last year's POY, who is returning and has a shot to repeat). Meanwhile, the CAA and Great West, which used to be complete, need articles for their 2012 winners. What do you think? Seven articles would knock out 4 templates. I don't think that is correct, and I was just trying to fix it.173.216.233.111 (talk) 12:53, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Don't love it. Having the word "basketball" in there twice is redundant and the title is long as it is. Rikster2 (talk) 12:32, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
I had the same thought as you - my only reservation is that this one's edits don't seem quite as illegible or unattractive as prior puppets', maybe he got a new monitor? - but in any case I think if you tag their page you need to follow up at SSI with a report. I'm not positive of that but I didn't want someone knocking at your door if in fact it's expected! JohnInDC (talk) 14:50, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Jrcla2, FYI, I've recreated Category:American college football navigational boxes by team to organize the categories of navboxes by team. Category:NCAA Division I FBS team navigational boxes and the like are intended to organize the team (i.e. program overview) navboxes themselves. Category:American college football navigational boxes by team was recently emptied by an editor who missed this distinction, and then it was deleted. Perhaps, it should be subdivided by division now that its population has grown. Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 13:12, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I'm working on the Tara VanDerveer article, one you've contributed to. According to the info box, Ohio State had a Big Ten championship in 1982. However, according to page 174 of the OSU Media Guide the Ohio State women's team wasn't part of Big Ten competition until the 1982-83 season.
I'm tempted to remove it, and you may be wondering why I am contacting you.
According to Wikiblame, the material was first added by this edit [2], but that's a bot edit, and is clearly changing the case of words, not adding new material. You were the last non-bot to edit before that material - and while I don't think you added it, I know your name well from sports articles, so I thought you might be able to help solve the mystery.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 15:23, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

I have given this nomination a good review. However, i wonder if you can give an alternative hook from Brian Ehlers article. I have made one suggestion, but the original hook is interesting, as well. It's your decision. --George Ho (talk) 05:19, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
Hello! Your submission of Ugonna Onyekwe at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. On 20 November 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Brian Ehlers, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that former basketball player Brian Ehlers is now a police officer? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Brian Ehlers. Hello - There is a discussion going on at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College Basketball#College basketball team season articles - Schedules discussing standards for team schedules on college basketball team season pages. I thought you might have opinions about what should be included in these and formatting. Please feel free to join the discussion. Rikster2 (talk) 01:44, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Jrcla, please take a look at this: User talk:Cuchullain#Probable CFB sock puppets. I think this may be our old friend again, turning up under new guises, and continuing to change the color of records tables and templates. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 20:01, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Hey, Jrcla. I just saw your addition of the new 1958 navbox to the Bernie Parrish article. In checking the 1959 navabox, I found Perry McGriff, and moved his misnamed article ("Perry C. McGriff") to match the navbox link. Can't say we Gators aren't doing our part to light up the blue links . . . .
If you search the obvious name variants, I would be willing to bet that there are other similarly misnamed baseball player articles (or misnamed navbox links, depending on your perspective). Usually, it's a matter of birth name vs. nickname or the inclusion of unnecessary middle initials included in the article title. Cheers, and thanks for your usual good work. Hello, per your note at Talk:Damon Wilson. You may now know that it is inappropriate to cut and paste content without giving appropriate credit and that the better idea would have been a Wikipedia:Moving a page.
The original user draft is now up for discussion Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Brandnewdrew/Damon Wilson if you would like to provide any historical insight. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 16:27, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
Hey all :).
I'm dropping you a note because you've been involved in dealing with feedback from the Article Feedback Tool. To get a better handle on the overall quality of comments now that the tool has become a more established part of the reader experience, we're undertaking a round of hand coding - basically, taking a sample of feedback and marking each piece as inappropriate, helpful, so on - and would like anyone interested in improving the tool to participate :).
You can code as many or as few pieces of feedback as you want: this page should explain how to use the system, and there is a demo here. Once you're comfortable with the task, just drop me an email at okeyeswikimedia.org and I'll set you up with an account :).
If you'd like to chat with us about the research, or want live tutoring on the software, there will be an office hours session on Monday 17 December at 23:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office connect. Hope to see some of you there! Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 23:26, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
Hey - I see where you'd added the Junior College player category to Bob Harris (basketball) a few months back and I was wondering if you remember where you came across that? I am trying to track this down and can't find any old newspaper articles. I do see in the Murray State Racers media guide that a "Bob Harris" played there in the 1945-46 season (which would fit perfectly), but since the category says Murray College the JC - and there is one - and the name is so common I hesitate to put that in as fact. Any help? Rikster2 (talk) 19:22, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
