Lenticel, thank you. I will place it in my wishlist. BTW, what is your thesis on? Had we talked prior, I would have asked you to work on the Philippine tarsier and helped direct you to the proper agencies and authorities on it! It would have been a good experience for you, as well as beneficial too for the Philippine Tarsier Foundation which would be very very supportive of you! Let me know how I can be of help to you, too. I have very good and strong research background. I can be a silent or "ghost adviser" to you, too. LoL...But I am serious! Send me an email thru wikipedia email...--Ate Pinay (talk•email) 07:43, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
O, okey. BTW, I did not mean to reduce your research experience at all. Just offered a "third research eye", since I also did some thesis advising before, while I did some research projects too. The USAID-DOH Project used EPI-INFO software for their epidemiology studies. Dengue would be very relevant. Malaria, too, but isn't that last more studied? I would be interested in dengue, as a member of my family suffered of it back in 1998! And believe me, it wasn't a very pleasant experience. Thankfully, his blood count stabilized and didn't really need any blood transfusion, though donors were on standby with type AB blood! More sharing later. --Ate Pinay (talk•email) 09:03, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

I think I reverted that on the basis that the link title read like advertising. It also seemed to go against Wikipedia:Avoid self-references (saying 'us' for a start). hi Lenticel,
many thanks for your article on Spider fighting. Yes, WikiProject Spiders is the place for this :) I even made an article some time ago, Fighting spider. I'm not sure if T. bhamoensis is the only species used for this; if so, the two articles should probably be merged. In case you want to create more articles about spiders (please do!), it's best to add the template ((WPSpiders)) to the Talk page of the article. This way, we can easily find it.
cheers --Sarefo 11:55, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

hi lenticel,
this article is one of Patrick Moran's pet pages. He's a bit obsessed with the venomosity of spiders as far as I'm concerned (i concentrate on the biodiversity). I know about this page, but it's highly unlikely that I'll ever touch it, because I don't see any way for it to become really useful. To identify spiders, you need a dichotomous key (I don't like these), or an interactive key[1] (I'm trying to work in this field in the future, but probably not in wikipedia, as it needs special software). However, maybe if somebody wants to really put some effort into this page, it can be a nice entry point to spider biodiversity for people that know nothing about spiders. cheers :) --Sarefo 14:42, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, to be honest with you, I'd probably vote to merge these articles. While I think that Gavin is missing some fairly basic points (basic research before nominating/tagging), many of his AfD nominations have been reasonable. I think that this is one of them. Of course, I don't know much about Greyhawk, so I could be wrong, but my preliminary search didn't turn up much in the way of notability for these fictional places. -Chunky Rice 21:29, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I've added a number of sources since you last commented on "Who Invented Surfing" I'd appreciate your looking at the new documents especially #4. Also, Henning has written a lot about surfing including one book about Polynesia...his reseach indicates Peru as the origin and is generally accepted in the most of "Knowledgable" surfing community. The authors and their credentials of Document 4 are a sign of this acceptance. Surfmac2004 11:18, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
I understand. It's just irritating when someone says something's not copypasted when I see that it is. That begins to stink of a less-than-scrupulous editor, and I get snippy. But he's since fixed it, so I'm satiated. I do think the article should be worked into a "history of surfing" section or article, instead of being called "who invented surfing. It's a bad title. - CobaltBlueTony 15:32, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi! Regarding this article, I'm afraid I've never even been there, so we're really going to have to depend on anyone else here who may have gone there before. The effort to create entries for the various tributaries of Laguna de Bay is part of my effort to familiarize myself with the geography and conservation status of the lake, for a novel I'm writing. So in a lot of ways, the reason I made the article at all is because of my unfamiliarity with it. :-S Which is saying, I wanna help get the DYK (of course!), but I'm not sure how.
Hm. Er... questions ... 1. what do you mean by hook? and 2. where do i go to learn how to create infoboxes like the one you put on siniloan?
I'd like to try to do that to the other tributaries as well. :-D Alternativity 17:46, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Hm, my first ever image is now a map that shows the rough course of the Siniloan river. :-D -- Alternativity 08:25, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the award! Those blinking eyes are kind of freaky, though! :) I certainly appreciate that you take the same stand that I do that it's better to make sure that information is kept somehow rather than deleted outright. If you don't know about them already, you might be interested in WP:ICU and WP:ARS. Both are projects of sorts which help improve articles that are up at AfD for reasons such as needing expansion, cleanup and sourcing (which aren't really reasons for deletion in the first place, but that's another can of worms entirely) as well as needing notability to be established. LaMenta3 22:27, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
I can't guaranty with this article i've started yesterday because its going to be a busy day starting today. I'm a student and classes will probably resume now. In a comment above made from an IP address, Young says "there's a big difference between 'rat catcher for the local council' and in charge of the world's oldest people for the entire planet". If someone who claims to be a researcher thinks that they are "in charge of the world's oldest people for the entire planet", I have to seriously question whether anything they write can be trusted. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 10:15, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes thankyou, actually after I set it up I realzed I should have just did an article about street children in the philippines, with subsections within the article on each area such as manila, cebu, angeles, etc. Im going to start a new article on street children in the philippines and merge the angeles article into that. kind regardsSusanbryce (talk) 15:11, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou kindly for the barnstar, much appreciated. Kind regardsSusanbryce (talk) 13:55, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Hello Lentice, I noticed you placed an assesment tag on the article for Street Children in The Philippines. I was wondering, should I place these tags also on the articles on charities in the Philippines? Would this be of help? Im planning on eventually doing articles on all charities in the Philippines of which I estimate there are around 2,000. So any advice or guidence you can offer on how you think it best presented on wikipedia would be mnuch appreciated. kind regardsSusanbryce (talk) 14:09, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for not informing. Yah. Not totally forgetting my "real identity" here. You can still call me that way. I have to change it because they want me to and I was a bit late (but not too) to realize I can still use my BandB or BnB but not BritandBeyonce anymore. Efe, I can't explain (here in Wiki) where I got that. Hehe. Hulaan mo na lang kaya. =) --Efe (talk) 09:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
The Staff section is written like adveritesement. It need to be shorted by mentioning the name of editor only. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 22:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. Yah. Its fine. Ok. I'll take a look. --Efe (talk) 09:03, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
The article has been listed as GA... Congratulations! Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 16:48, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Wasn't sure if deleting a user talk page even as blatant spam would be controversial. Will db-spam now if I ever see another. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 23:22, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for closing a recent MfD. I think you used an AfD template though to do this and I'm not quite sure where the top template is located. We generally close using ((subst:mfd top)) and ((subst:mfd bottom)) placed at the top and bottom of the discussion page (above the header) per WP:DELPRO#MFD. Thanks.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 23:39, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Hehe. Hindi pa ako sanay na tawagin mo na Efe. Anyway, I actually diverted my attention to foreign song-related articles because I got a lot references to cite, not to mention being fan to some of them. If I can search good sources for "Ang Huling El Bimbo", I'll bring it to GA. Philippine related songs have limited sources; so I seldom touch them. Please help me with the process. (I'm quite busy for now, with failed FA for "Deja Vu" and planned FAC for "Irreplaceble", and many start-class in my userpage.) Thanks. =) --Efe (talk) 12:55, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Are you still looking for some assistance with your user page? If so, I'd offer my help. If you have don't have anything specific in mind already, I recommend browsing Wikipedia:User Page Design Center for inspiration. Dorftrottel (harass) 18:22, March 1, 2008
