I believe that this close was totally wrong. It was a no consensus. Clearly their is a standing consensus by the project and numerous previous AfD discussions to support the breakout of these lists. Please consider reversing this decision. Thanks. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:06, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi Tone, I'm sorry to badger you but when you add an item to the ITN template, would you mind informing the updater/ nominator and tagging the article talk page with the relevant template at WP:ITN#Recognition. I'll drop the templates for ASEAN–China Free Trade Area and if it doesn't suit you to do it in future (updating ITN is enough imo since only admins can do it), I'll be happy to do it for you, just drop me a note (I'm around ITN/C most days). Per discussion (9 hours ago!) on this articles talkpage regarding links to Aid Organisations, there are now a whole lot of links that seem to go directly to the donation pages of various agencies. Just letting you know, as this seems to go against what was stated then. ie. "not appropriate to include links". Unfortunately it seem to be building into a major disaster. --220.101.28.25 (talk) 17:58, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Hello Tone! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 41 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 942 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the ((unreferencedBLP)) tag. Here is the list:

Hello Tone,
I understand you're the administrator who deleted the Russet Noon article back in April of 2009. I'm writing to request that you consider restoring it for the following reasons: The argument against keeping this article at the time was based on the alleged lack of notoriety of the novel. However, there is a section under author Peter David's main article, which is entitled Potato Moon. As you will notice, this section refers to Russet Noon, since Potato Moon is a parody of Russet Noon. Given that Peter David could be considered by many to be a legendary author in the comic book genre, how is it not notorious that he decided to host a red-robin satire on his personal blog about Russet Noon?
Please be kind enough to let me know your thoughts about this appeal.

Hi. Since you are one of the main ITN admins, I'd like to suggest to take a look at this nomination from January 23. If there is still space on the ITN template, please add the blurb as it already has a lot of support and more protests are planned so it is an ongoing issue and may require a re-post in the near future. I recently completed a separate article that I just recently published, so that could be the main link for the news blurb. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 03:00, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Do 7 delete + 5 keep + 5 merge = delete? [2]
(there actually are 6 votes to keep as well as the 5 to merge, a strong keep was uncounted, perhaps due to a spacing error [3])
There may be some rule about counting votes that I am not aware of, or perhaps the delete was a mistake? That is why I am asking. RegardsKeptSouth (talk) 11:19, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello Tone,
I am a new, unconfirmed, wiki member and would appreciate your help in publishing an article I have written about the Bonghan System currently at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:DavidWis/Bonghan_System#cite_note-0
You deleted a previous article entitled Bonghan Theory (or System) back in August 22, 2009. I didn’t see the original but comments on the deletion page lead me to believe that this article was based on an article I published in 2009. The article was criticized as unreferenced and non notable WP:FRINGE theory seeking to gain attention by using public forums of discussion rather than through academic journals. I think my article clearly demonstrates that the research being done on the Bonghan System is published in a wide variety of academic journals and is a notable discovery of previously ignored anatomical structures.
If you have any suggestions or advice I would appreciate it if you could post it on the discussions page. I’m not sure if it should be submitted to the controversial moves section …. or should I just add ((move draft)) to the top of the page? I’m also unclear about copyright releases for photos which I hope to be able to get from the original research authors. Your assistance will be much appreciated. David/Wis

The reason for deletion was 'non-notable band'. This band was always "notable" and should never have been deleted.
In 2008 they released an EP entitled "A Kiss To Resist" and in May 2010 they will release a new full album entitled "Shattered Heart Reflections".

You wrote - "We're waiting on April 1, I believe."
And your belief is based on what? And may I know whom all are included in "we" apart from you? Most of the support is for the normal ITN, not the April 1st one. What the hell is up with this entire April 1st thing anyways? Why is any proposed item which is even slightly funny or unusual being degraded to "April 1 worthy"? My name is Rocky Scarfone . You recently deleted a page on one TOM PAPANIA. The page that is now in its place contains information that is false and after three court battles, 5 settlements and ten years, it harms my reputation. I would appreciate it if you read below. PLEASE. It took years to get my book back and to stop what was an attempt by an alleged con artist to stop using my book, my mothers death and other personal facts. I have added links to several web pages that contain actual court records and more facts then anyone has ever placed on the subject of Mr Tom Papania. The cases (1999-2009 State Court- 4 years, Federal Court 4 years, And WIPO World Court - 1 year) against Tom papania FOF/CBN/Pat Robertson James Dobson were NOT FRIVOLOUS NOR WERE THEY DISMISSED,
I, Joe Baffa AKA Rocky Scarfone, sued Tom Papania [3], Focus on the Family/James Dobson, Pat Robertson/Christian Broadcasting Network in Federal Court in 1999 for copyright infringement, violation of the Lanham act and fraud. The suit alleged that tom papania plagiarized my copyright book House Of Cards the Curse of Alphonoso [4] written and copyright by RJ Rocky Scarfone and that Focus on the Family/James Dobson, & Pat Robertson/Christian Broadcasting Network were added due to their promotion of Papania and their reaping monies from sales of tapes and other forms of compensation. The case was NOT FRIVOLOUS NOR WAS IT DISMISSED, It was settled in Joe Baffa AKA Rocky Scarfone's Favor. Both organizations paid an undisclosed sum to settle. In addition, Focus On The Family agreed to print a retraction; Which they did, stating along these lines: "recent events have brought forth information that conflicts with Papania' story, there for Focus is no longer recommending Papania". This fact can be read on the linked websites below and the final order from federal court can be found on [1]and [2]. In this federal ruling dated 2002, the Chief Justice of the Northern District Federal Court ruled in BAFFA'S FAVOR, Tom Papania settled the action by paying an undisclosed amount of money. Further, Tom papania filed a domain name complaint against baffa, and lost it[5]. GOOGLE: wipo Tom papania vs Fraud Expose or use the link below. In 2005, Tom Papania sued Joe Baffa AKA Rocky Scarfone in Gwinnette County Georgia Superior Court for violating the terms of the settlement . A settlement in Joe Baffa AKA Rocky Scarfones favor. After 4 years it was DISMISSED. SEE: Gwinnette County Superior Court Papania Vs Baffa . Thus, for all the hype that it was a frivolous action, Joe Baffa won all three and received 4 settlements. As far as whether Mr. Papania is in fact telling the truth, all one has to do is go to TomPapaniaExpose.Com [2], TomPapania.Info [3]and MafiaMinistry.Com [1] to read court records, audio video and the complete history of papania backed by hundreds of first tier sources and records.

Hi,
Brad Olesen here
Is there a way to actually delete the entire contents so that no one can see your comments as well? The info is also on World Lingo...which I still can't seem to understand how to get it deleted as well.
What are my options?
If you can delete from visibility EVERYTHING (as if it didn't exist) - that's what I want. If you can't, would you at least consider allowing me to edit it so that only my name and very limited details exist - I have a few articles about to be published, etc. (In other words, reverse your delete, allow me to edit it, then go back and delete - c.)
It looks as though JaGa and you both have your hands in this. Can you both collaborate and wipe from any record this information, INCLUDING THIS conversation here?
Thank you.

Current reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Defending_the_West:_A_Critique_of_Edward_Said's_Orientalism&action=edit&redlink=1

After you've already closed the debate, it's a little late in the game to go back and change the conclusion; as the template says "Please do not modify it" and "No further edits should be made to this page". Hi, Tone. You worked with me a bit on the Geoff Schumacher article, which was about to be deleted a while back. An article I recently wrote was nominated for deletion by an editor for notability (she didn't mention anything else in her nomination), and it went through the AfD process. I've addressed the notability concern (some editors added that some of the sources -- newspaper and magazine articles -- appeared weak). I have found stronger, reliable sources, cited them, reworked the article, and I think it now is more clear about notability and is a stronger article than it was originally. A few editors agreed, one quite strongly. But it was ultimately deleted. It was userfied for me and I've improved it (I found more articles where the subject was the only one in the story, which the nom requested). If you could take a look at it and give me your feedback, it would be much appreciated. I can explain how it came to be nominated after you look at it. Here's the AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cordelia Mendoza. And here's the draft I've been working on: User:AuthorAuthor/Cordelia Mendoza Thanks again. --AuthorAuthor (talk) 06:17, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
At your suggestion, authorized by Jj137, the "twinless twin" article was removed in 2008.
I wish it to be restored. There are groups of twinless twins to be found on four continents. As well, there is a considerable body of work and information including anecdotal, researched, and published studies on twinless twins and the phenomenologies of surviving twin grief processes and mortality rates (including higher incidence of suicide).
The entry appears to have been deleted without objection, although there were and are comments about its removal on the TWIN TWIN talk section from both myself and Algis Davidavicius , to wit:
===
"Hello -- I am a twinless twin (my identical brother died at our premature birth). I totally missed any information on fate of surviving twins that necesarrily maintain very often unconscious bond with their deceased half ("lone twin syndrome"). The feelings of being utterly lonely and being only half of some lost whole is common to all surviving multiples. How can I correct this article -- to whom must I write suggestions and provide materials pls.?
Sincerely -- Algis Davidavicius (Shim Gong), (mail removed) . I am ALSO a twinless twin and am distressed that the entire article on "twinless twin/s" was deleted, despite an emerging body of international case studies and other scholarly works on the subject. As well, some articles still link to the removed item [Philip K. Dick] and Wiki Section G.8 would seem to make its removal somewhat baffling.
Todd, twin to Marcus

I am raising such objection now, and have done so in the appropriate forum, as well.
Your suggestion for deletion was allowed to pass without objection under Section G8 ( "Pages dependent on a non-existent or deleted page such as talk pages with no corresponding subject page; subpages with no parent page; image pages without a corresponding image; redirects to invalid targets, such as nonexistent targets, redirect loops, and bad titles; and categories populated by deleted or retargeted templates. This excludes any page that is useful to the project, and in particular: deletion discussions that are not logged elsewhere." )
Philip K. Dick is still footnoted as having been a "twinless twin," and links to an invalid (i.e., deleted) target page.
Please restore the article in its entirety. I will be happy to add the additional, updated information as to other groups in Australia, New Zealand, and additional scholarly articles, papers, and the like.

Many thanks for the restoration. I'll contact Beachdrifter and Thayvian, whose "strong arguments" seem to have contributed to the deletion. Thayvian, in particular, raised the issue that the entry on "Grief does not even link to articles specific to the loss of a sibling, parent or spouse." Those topics are, however, covered by sections of the "grief" article, so I'll furnish Thayvian with some additional specifics, including the statistics on higher per capita suicide rates among surviving ("twinless") twins and provide local (Sydney) twinloss organization contacts for him/her to verify the information provided. The article Erin Cafaro has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the ((dated prod))
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing ((dated prod))
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SlimVirgin talk|contribs 01:56, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
An editor has asked for a deletion review of Desiree Jennings controversy. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. (Please note I'm not disputing your actual close decision, about which you had no leeway. It's just that new shit has come to light.) 76.66.98.247 (talk) 20:27, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
You closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gallery of armed forces flags as transwiki to commons, but it is still here. There's a discussion about this close and another similar close at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. Fences&Windows 13:46, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
Good Morning, Tone
Would you be kind enough to let me know why our entry for Qdos Entertainment was deleted? Any guidance would be appreciated as I would like to update the information.
Regards

Apparently it got moved AND duplicated during the AFD? FYI it has already been recreated at the "Ltd." version again. Messy stuff. I speedy tagged it as appropriate, but since it is messy I thought I would let you know. Ryan Norton 08:42, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah... I looked like Feitian Technologies contained the original history - maybe both got tagged with the AFD somehow due the move. Odd stuff. Thanks! (P.S. you forgot the talk page [G8] ;p. Tagged as such) Ryan Norton 09:26, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Dear Tone,
I understand that you're busy, and I respect your time and efforts in contributing to Wikipedia.
May I ask, why did you delete the Wikipedia entry for Voices.com, an organization that has had a page in existence with no issues for the past 3 years? I see that you flagged the page as advertising, however the page was written by more than a dozen contributors in a subjective manner.
Please reconsider and if possible, lock the page.
Respectfully yours,
David Ciccarelli CEO Voices.com david[at]voices.com

Another editor has started a discussion at ANI concerning your close of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of newly-formed bus routes in Brooklyn. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 01:51, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for the improvements on Patria case article.

Hi Tone. Thanks for your help on the ITN article. I left a message at ITN you may not have seen regarding the hopeful inclusion of the article photo. I have changed the blurb to add (pictured). I think the article is better served with photo that is with the article and that is also on the ITN page. I will continue to monitor the situation for any possible needed updates (as I write the hurricane has not yet turned to the north as the weather forecasters were expecting.) I have also updated the article's talk page with the ITN template. And of least importance, I didn't get my "reward" template on my talk page... silly, I know, but I do like to see them! I'm not sure if I am following the correct procedure here, but I wanted to request deletion of the file Facebooklogo.jpg because it is an advertisement for an online electronics store NOT the Facebook logo as it is labeled. I accessed the image via an old version of the Facebook page. ---- —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cacoethes curiositas (talk • contribs) 00:10, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
this is really just a test of how to sign posts—thought I'd signed the last one, but it appears the tildes need to be inside parentheses? If this post isn't signed I'm doing something wrong and would appreciate assistance, sorry (----)
wait tildes, oh Cacoethes curiositas (talk) 00:39, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Hello Tone,
I get in touch with because you decided to delete Codendi article. The reasons given are notably:
“It looks like a closed club thing. It doesn't look like anyone else cares about this product. Nothing notable about the software.”
I would like to add information to clarify these points.
- Codendi software is already daily used by many users worldwide (USA, UK, Colombia, Tunisia, France, Germany, India...) in large companies (ST Microelectronics, Oranges Labs, GDF Suez..), public organizations (National Navy) and SME’s. It is not a closed club: it is an open-source software so everyone can freely download it and use it.
- Codendi Community Edition has been downloaded more than 113 000 times in one year. Everyone wanting to participate to Codendi community is welcomed.
- Several American & European websites speak about Codendi:
Others:
- Wikipedia gives many information about other softwares with features similar to those of Codendi (LibreSource, Trac, FusionForge, Collabnet, Codebeamer…). Some softwares are not so famous in the US but it is interesting for people to discover them. That’s right that Codendi is not a software famous as others edited by big companies but it is all the interest of Wikipedia.
Please let me rewrite the article with a neutral point of view.
Thanks for your response,
Cheers
