horses and their training
Thank you for quality such as horse trainer Bud Dunn and Black Allan (horse), for your lively gallery of boxes, for collaboration and helping new users, - white Wikipedian who wants to turn the project green, you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Just a heads up that after a long and contentious editing dispute, it was agreed that it does appear that most donkeys aren't measured in hands. Which is odd, but I dug into it and I had to acknowledge that even in the US, they seem most often to be measured in inches -- and it was a heckuva bad editing dispute in general (the entire horse hands template was brought into play. It was one of those "I almost quit over it" messes). Anyway, just letting you know that the donkey articles are kind of special... ;-) Montanabw(talk) 23:32, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
Saw you were getting trolled on the Bud Dunn article. I always check the contribs of folks who do that, and when they've been editing less than a month, you know there is someone with issues-- and probably a blocked editor trying to evade a block. Best to just remember WP:DFTT (like I do... or not... hah!) Feel free to post on my talk page the next time that happens. If I'm not around, my page stalkers will be. By the way, for a TFA, you survived pretty well - just the usual vandals and only two trolls! Montanabw(talk) 06:27, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
I haven't been editing on Wikipedia for a while now! Just came back for a few check ups or two, but my English seems to have gotten better. I'm pretty sure this is confusing, but did you know you met me when I was still in elementary? Probably not surprising. Happy late Halloween, and I hope to work with you and some others more on Wikipedia in the future. Horsegeek(talk) 02:43, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Horsegeek
Also, that's great! Handing out candy to the little kids is great fun. Except for when it gets late, and the big kids come. Have to turn off the lights after that. I do hope to be able to edit more. Currently, I'm trying to get my draft of the Hequ Horse live. Been getting some help on that. Meanwhile, I probably will look around for some more horsey articles to edit. ;) Horsegeek(talk) 23:21, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Horsegeek
We also have some kickass women race horse trainers in redlinks:
Just some ideas... I think I'll cross-post this list on my own talk page, actually. Montanabw(talk) 04:45, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
Hi! Pretty sure I am in the right place. I saw you responded to my question and linked the Dead End Pages, could you give me a couple of pointers on how I could help? You seem to know a lot. Thanks TwistedByFate (talk) 19:55, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
You are invited to participate in the 50,000 Challenge, aiming for 50,000 article improvements and creations for articles relating to the United States. This effort began on November 1, 2016 and to reach our goal, we will need editors like you to participate, expand, and create. See more here! |

Hello White Arabian Filly. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:51, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
Congratulations on your new cat! Enjoy! I just got another one myself about 3 months ago.

Hello, White Arabian Filly. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
QPQ now done - please update. Thanks Johnbod (talk) 03:57, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

"Gobble. The gobble is a loud, rapid gurgling sound made by male turkeys. The gobble is one of the principal vocalizations of the male wild turkey and is used primarily in the spring to let hens know he is in the area." Happy Thanksgiving! If each reviewer does only 10 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
Let's get that over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.
Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work. Read about it at the new Monitoring the system section in the tutorial.
With some tweaks to their look, and some additional features, Page Curation and New Pages Feed could easily be the best tools for patrollers and reviewers. We've listed most of what what we need at the 2016 WMF Wishlist Survey. Voting starts on 28 November - please turn out to make our bid the Foundation's top priority. Please help also by improving or commenting on our Wishlist entry at the Community Wishlist Survey. Many other important user suggestions are listed at at Page Curation.

Thank you, White Arabian Filly! Dabbled in Wiki some years ago...contributed a picture of my Paso, and it is still on the Paso page. (grin) Would like to start contributing again. Noticed that Montanabw contributed on the Piaffe page, but wrote a note that the picture and animation are not the best examples, but that she didn't feel qualified to judge. I used to be an upper level rider, and would like to contribute, edit, etc. I will go read the articles you suggested, as it has been some time, and have at it. New Page Reviewers are asked to be especially on the look out 08:00-20:00 UTC (that's local London time - check your USA and AUS times) on Thursday 8 December for new pages. The BBC together with Wikimedia UK is holding a large 12-hour editathon. Many new articles and drafts are expected. See BBC 100 Women 2016: How to join our edit-a-thon. Follow also on #100womenwiki, and please, don't bite the newbies :) (user:Kudpung for NPR. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:55, 7 December 2016 (UTC))

Hello WAF! Hope all is well. Very late last night, an IP user 108.48.127.5 made some edits in Professional Bull Riders and Professional Bull Riders: Heroes and Legends. I looked at their contributions history and it doesn't appear that they are a vandal, just misguided. I think they genuinely believe it's okay to add lots of red links. I don't know who they think are going to create all those articles, though, lol. You have the rollback permission that lets you roll back several edits at once or else I would do that in the topic I have been so active in-the Heroes and Legends one. So if you could do that, that would be great. Thanks! Dawnleelynn (talk) 17:52, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi White Arabian Filly, Curdigirl here. Thanks for the warm welcome! Glad to be on Wikipedia as a volunteer and even happier to find the Equine Project! I just took a quick stroll through your talk page and smiled real big and broad. I grew up in the city and am a country girl at heart; never able to have the kinds of animals you have on the farm. My horse fever started young and I pursued it via: books; movies; Girl Scouts horseback riding camps; horseback riding lessons (begging my mom to let me); Breyer model horses; drawing horses; horse magazines; friends who also loved horses but didn't have them and on the list goes. During family vacations to Wisconsin, I'd look for a stable and offer my stable mucking & grooming services for free in order to ride. Now I'm all grown up and still live "in the city" with hopes of moving out, closer to the possibility of being near horses. This is a start! And I have personally found that horse people are some of the best people. So, I hope to be of use around here, mucking out some articles and grooming others. Neigh! 00:17, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Curdigirl — Preceding unsigned comment added by Curdigirl (talk • contribs)
Hello, hoping you are having a good week so far. I spent some time this weekend teaching myself how to create Userboxes. I created two new ones. I looked at your page where you have the ones you created for starters. Also looked at some other good help pages. I noticed that you belong to WikiProject Userboxes. So, if you don't mind taking a look at mine to see if they adhere to good practices, that would be great. Better to start off right at the beginning and not start any bad habits. No rush though. I made sure to use images that were free in Wikipedia Commons, in fact, I struggled a little to get images to work at first. They aren't going anywhere. My page is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Dawnleelynn/UserBoxes_I_Created dawnleelynn(talk) 04:14, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

What are your qualifications on Feist dogs. I have hunted & raised them for years. I am a NKC breed inspector. The descriptions given here would not qualify to register a dog as a Feist. One pic shows a rough coated dog of unknown origin. My changes where correct. RTV67 (talk) 06:14, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
I wasn't trying to write the information. Only correct the misinformation and repeated descriptions. The dog in the pic would mot pass NKC inspection. Problem with this breed is generalities and misinformed owners. RTV67 (talk) 07:14, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
