Event is notable only within local area and I cannot find any non-local news coverage of it. NeilN talk to me 23:26, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh crumbs! Lugnuts (talk) 09:07, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, been doing this for a while now. First time applying Wikipedia:Notability (events) though. --NeilN talk to me 12:45, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Notable events usually have significant impact over a wide region, domain, or widespread societal group -> this seems to be a local event
  2. Significant national or international coverage is usually expected for an event to be notable -> I could find only coverage from Knoxville news outlets, where the event is taking place
Having said this, if it rated more than a passing mention in Southern Living then that should be enough. Jwcraig97 can you comment on the coverage? --NeilN talk to me 21:16, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - Seems to be the whole 15th page: [3]. Jwcraig97, I cant find any source that suggests the event has received national attention last year. It would be a great improvement if you can provide a source for that. Nimuaq (talk) 21:48, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
