vte This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Nevada. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add ((Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName)) to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding ((subst:delsort|Nevada|~~~~)) to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- Note that there are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove links to other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Nevada.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to US.

Doesnt establish his notability as per WP: GNG. While he has held various positions and roles in business and politics I think the references provided do not demonstrate significant coverage in reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject WP:RS, WP:SIGCOV.
The philanthropy section is also failing as it lacks the necessary citations for verification WP:BLP. Without further evidence of in-depth coverage from independent sources, the subject does not meet Wikipedia's notability standards for a standalone BLP Comintell (talk) 07:46, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete or Draftily. Water thin argument for notability. and the page needs complete revamp

- Keep Per WP:NPOL a politician holding state/province legislative office is notable. I imagine there would be offline coverage in newspapers from the early 2000s when he was in office. Article may need cleanup to meet quality standards, but it's certainly not irredeemable. AusLondonder (talk) 16:26, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep: Passes WP:NPOL as a member of an American state legislature. Deletion is not clean-up. Curbon7 (talk) 18:21, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Perhaps doesn't establish his notability as per WP: GNG, but passes WP:NPOL.Gedaali (talk) 20:04, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Article does need some improvement, but state legislators are inherently notable per WP:NPOL #1. Since he held office 20 years ago, the coverage that he surely had due to being a state legislator would be unlikely to Google well, and would almost certainly have to be retrieved from archives — but that's precisely why we have NPOL to clarify that certain roles are inherently notable even if the article is weak in its current form, because Wikipedians tend to be lazy about locating sourcing that would actually require effort to find, and state legislators do typically have more coverage than anybody's actually been arsed to uncover. Bearcat (talk) 20:06, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep: Members of the state legislatures are presumed notable per WP:NSUBPOL. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 20:49, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:NOTNEWS and the event criteria. Fails WP:CONTINUEDCOVERAGE and WP:SUSTAINED. The last article giving information on the crash was a little more than a year ago. Aviationwikiflight (talk) 12:59, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete, though it might prove to be worth WP:REFUND. I say that because Blancolirio made three analyses of it (1 2 3) and it might end up resulting in rule changes or coverage. tedder (talk) 16:39, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- That's usually what he does. He usually covers an incident at least twice in the first few days.
- All of his analyses were made in the first 2 weeks and since then, there hasn't been an update even though the NTSB's preliminary report was released. Aviationwikiflight (talk) 07:45, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. As per the nomination. There was an article about the one-year anniversary [1], but that does not meet WP:CONTINUEDCOVERAGE. The NTSB issued a preliminary report (WPR23MA113, see https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search and search for February 24, 2023). Cxbrx (talk) 20:52, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
