Qorqori (Persian: قرقري, also Romanized as Qorqorī and Qarqarī; also known as Qorgorī)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Qorqori District of Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran,[4] and also serves as the administrative center for Qorqori Rural District.[5]
At the 2006 census, its population was 919 in 189 households, when it was a village in the former Miyan Kongi District of Zabol County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,287 people in 245 households,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Hirmand County.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,329 people in 324 households.[2] After the census, the village of Qorqori was elevated to the status of a city.[8]
