I have a request. Could you not add red links to the song titles in a track listing for an album, such as you did in Hawaii (album). Per WP:NSONGS, "most songs do not rise to notability for an independent article" so it is quite unlikely that articles will ever be created for them, making red links completely unnecessary in these cases. Also, some of the links point to other non-related articles due to an ambiguous title, which is not helpful to the article. Thanks. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 04:43, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi. I noticed all the red links you put into Roberta Gellis with this edit [1]. Please can you not create so many red links (as others have requested above). Also, those book links that aren't red are wrong links (i.e. links to DAB pages, or wrong articles). I have reverted your edit and merged the good links in the header. Widefox (talk) 08:36, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Roberta Gellis, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. and other articles (e.g. Maximum allowable operating pressure), where a link was created without checking that it is a redirect to itself. Please slow down adding links, as it is generating a lot of extra effort to fix wrong links, remove excessive red links etc, as mentioned above. Widefox (talk) 09:44, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
I notice that you made several more links to Capa vehicle after I (accidently) included the ((deadend))
parameter to ((multiple issues))
. The article clearly had many links already, including many redlinks. You should therefore have queried the ((deadend))
(eg by checking the article's talk page, edit history, or with the user who added it), rather than just adding more.
A check at the article's talk page (Talk:Capa vehicle) in this case might have shown it was possibly added by accident with all the others.
The only link I've unlinked is the circular link to Capabus, which redirects back to the same article (see WP:OVERLINK). Tim PF (talk) 00:07, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
With all the power invested in me (which is none, sadly), I now pronounce you the Internal Link Queen!
I just wanted to say that, in my opinion, your name is synonymous with quickly and accurately adding internal links to pages. There are very few Wikipedia wide tasks that are synonymous with a username but you and internal links have cemented that association in my mind. I've never been into Barnstars but if there was one to give you, I'd give it. Keep up the good work! OlYellerTalktome 22:39, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

I removed the speedy deletion tag you placed on List of parks in Pittsburgh, as the given deletion rationale was A3, but there was indeed content on that page. Apparently it was a redirect to Category:Parks in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and at some point a bot edit broke the redirect. I have reinstated the redirect. —KuyaBriBriTalk 13:59, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for working on Glossary of card games. Unfortunately I made a mistake with that: I meant to create this in user space and take my time completing it before moving it to main space, as I usually do. Now that I have become aware of the mistake I moved it to my user space at User:Hans Adler/Glossary of card games and proposed the resulting redirect for deletion. I hope that's OK with you. Hi, since you've withdrawn your candidacy, I've closed you RfA. If I may say so, your withdrawal seemed very speedy and it would be wise not to consider four comments to be a complete cross-section of community opinion. Not having bumped into you until now, I honestly don't know how you would have fared had it stayed open longer. If you decide, down the line somewhere, that you would be more useful to the project with a few extra buttons, then it might be worth looking at some recent successful RfAs to get a feel for what's expected of a candidate during an RfA. I may be overstepping my bounds here, but I would also suggest that, if you choose to have another editor nominate you, it's usually best (with no disrespect to your nominator) to pick somebody who is well known and experienced at RfA. Anyway, I do hope your brief RfA hasn't left a bitter taste in your mouth—RfA can be tough, but many of the project's best editors are not administrators, so you shouldn't see it as a reflection on you as an editor. If you need anything, my (metaphorical) door is always open. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 01:16, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Dear Katharineamy:
I just visited my Wikipedia page (David Scott Milton), which has been in existence for I don't know how long, a couple of years I suspect. (Just checked. It's four years) I found that the page has been essentially deleted. It now says this: "This article is an autobiography, or has been extensively edited by the subject or an institution related to the subject, and may not conform to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy." In looking at the history of what was left of the article I found your edit of the article. I'm not sure if you designated the article as autobiography or not-- I am essentially illiterate in these computer matters. Perhaps you can help me.
The article is certainly not an autobiography. I have no idea how one even enters a Wikipedia article or writes a Wikipedia article. It says that the article has been extensively edited by the subject or an institution related to the subject and may not conform to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Again, I have never edited anything concerning me & have no idea how one even does that. As far as an "institution related to the subject"... again, I am not a member of any institution that would have a reason for writing about me. I've always assumed that I was in Wikipedia because of my accomplishments as a writer and actor, six novels, play on Broadway, awards, etc. It's embarassing to think that people are looking me up on Wikipedia and being told that I have written my own entry! Who on earth came to this conclusion? How can I demonstrate that this is not so? I don't want to appear paranoid but it seems as though someone with an axe to grind with me has purposely set about to embarrass me.
I hope I'm not jumping to loopy conclusions, but this is all very unsettling. Can you tell me how I can resolve this? Again, I am virtually illiterate when it comes to technology and computers. Please explain to me in the clearest, simplest language what I must do and how this came about. Were you the editor who designated my article as "autobiography" or was it someone else? Who should I contact? What should I do?
Sincerely, David Scott Milton — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.105.58.150 (talk) 10:42, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi there. I've just cleaned up George Butterworth (psychologist), which was an article contributed by a new user using the Article Creation Wizard. However, the text submitted was copied from the source provided, which is a problem (I've just deleted the revisions that are copyright violations, and left the original editor a note). I'm also leaving notes with those who edited the article since its creation, as I want to try and work out what went wrong here. I've been told there was a big backlog at new pages patrol in September and October (may still be one for all I know), so maybe that was it. You did work on categorising and wikilinking the article, but the article text itself was obviously a copyright violation (it was written in the first person). Also, you marked the article as a living person with birth year missing, but it was not too difficult to find his obituary and birth and death year, which I've now added. Others should have spotted this as well, but could I ask that you look more closely at new articles that you work on to make sure this sort of thing gets caught earlier in future? Thanks. Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.
Any suggestions for improving this automated tool are welcome. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:14, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I'm the creator of DPL bot, which just left the message above. I want to apologize for it and offer a solution. The message is intended as a service to people writing articles, not people doing maintenance work like yourself. I don't want you to think you're expected to fix dablinks on top of your wikilinking work.
The solution is to put a template anywhere on your talk page that tells DPL bot not to leave messages for you. Here's the syntax:
Another thing you might be interested in is Anomie's Link classifier, which gives you a tab you can use to color-code wikilinks by type (redirect, up for deletion, disambig, etc.)

thanks for touching/editing the page I posted. I could not help but notice a few postings about the article, including "it reads like a student essay" and "does not cite references". Well, I suppose that is because I am aware of no references. These facts I learned after attending electronics school and working in the field for many years. There are no references that I am aware of (NEW information?). "reads like an essay", well, it IS an essay! Perhaps you know of an EE professor who would like to chime in?.. maybe not.. I am aware of at least several EE professors who have desigend and built (even sent into production designs of) equipment who were apparently unaware of these things. thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.78.199.134 (talk) 05:14, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

for work on categorisation! Zymurgy (talk) 20:54, 26 January 2012 (UTC) |
Hey thanks for categorising the Godsized article! It's only the second Wikipedia article I've created, in about a decade of using Wikipedia. I'm going to make it awesome over the next few months. I would give you a barnstar if I knew what the hell they were, or if they were valuable or something. 213.105.1.168 (talk) 01:07, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Your Edit of Mitsuo Aoki article:
Hi Katharine. Thank you for your edit/improvement of the article I drafted on Mitsuo Aoki. He is a well-known theologian, and we are looking to improve it. Just today we received a request for information from someone who's doing another article on him, and when that's finished we'll link it too.
You might enjoy a project I'm doing other than on Wikipedia. It's at www.montereybaybotanicalgarden.com. If you want to email me, there's a Contact Us page, and send your email c/o Oldnoah, and it will get to me. I haven't been to London since 1968, which I believe was a few years (like maybe 17!) before your time, but I'm sure the City hasn't lost its charm.
Warmest regards,

The Categorisation Barnstar | ||
Our editing paths cross frequently, and I'm always impressed with your speed, efficency, and accuracy when it comes to categorisation. Your work in this area goes over and above the call of duty, where many others simply add the minimal obvious and remove the tag as they drive by. You're well deserving of some praise, and this barnstar from me is long overdue. Keep up the good work! :) -- WikHead (talk) 01:55, 11 February 2012 (UTC) |

Hi,
Thanks for categorising ((Incat catamarans)). However, in this edit you removed the noinclude tags, which meant that every page that the template was transcluded on was added to Category:Wikipedia templates. Obviously it's onyl the template itself which belongs in that category, so the cat should be placed within noinclude tags. I've gone and done that now, along with adding some more precise categorisation (which I suppose I should have done at the time). Anyway, just a heads-up for the future. Cheers. Who do I go to about getting that page set up? I noticed that all the pages up to 1999 are set up. Is 1998 going to be set up? I just think that it should have been set up since all other years have been set up. And I know that you have done work on some of these pages, so I was wondering if you were interested in helping. Hi Katherineamy, you categorized my item on lithium battery packs for oceanographers as lithium ion batteries. However, they are primary lithium batteries. Lithium ion batteries are rechargeable and primary lithium batteries are not. For oceanographers, the advantage is that primary lithium cells store about 3x the energy. I'm now to Wikipedia and I haven't figured out categorization yet. Rlgordon3 (talk) 22:37, 22 March 2012 (UTC) Lee Gordon 22 March

Did you write the article on Katherine Force Spencer?
I am her grand-daughter and wanted to point out some dramatic inaccuracies.

Hello, I've come across a couple of articles that you added links to but didn't remove the ((wikify)) tag. Feel free to remove the tag after you wikify an article. Ryan Vesey Review me! 00:52, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Could you please delete the article "Mary Mediatrix of all graces"? since those proposed dogmas have now been integrated into the apparition, recently seen by Pope Benedict XVI during the 2011 Ad Limina Visit and presented in Wednesday General Audience. Though still pending at the Holy See, it is approved by the Archdiocese of Manila? That way it is cleaner. Thanks for your help. :) HeartyBowl1989 (talk) 18:11, 5 June 2012 (UTC)HeartyBowl1989
