The article clearly needs to contain some non-free images, as they are the subject. It does not need to contain 24 of them, especially as many are functionally identical. This is an article about advertising, not histories of logos. I would suggest that at least half of the excessive images are pruned. Links - WP:NFCC#3a, WP:NFCC#8, WP:NFLISTS. @Jerem43: I did check it against the revision from 2013 [1] upon implementation, and the problems persisted. I removed none of the images that are currently on Commons / are free (I have a script that checks that; I also checked the rationales one-by-one). Trademark is separate from copyright and doesn't affect non-free content considerations. Can I revert your edit, or do you want to comment on some of the images? @Jerem43: Trademark is separate from copyright status and affects it in no way. Please don't miss-tag files as free for their trademark being revoked, as they are still copyrighted unless released under a free license. Finnusertop (talk | guestbook | contribs) 08:04, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
I have changed the establishment of the HIYW slogan from 1973 to 1974. Couldn't find evidence for the 1973 claim anywhere, after this History Channel documentary "How Our Food Changed to Burgers & French Fries" said that the slogan dated to 1974.
