Thanks for uploading Image:2nd_winter_asiad.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Your username is either intentionally or unintentionally insulting to Christians. I would appreciate it if you changed it by making a request at WP:CHU. Thank you. - Tragic Baboon (banana receptacle) 23:19, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it can be easily misunderstood by non Xtina fans as an insult to Christianity. I hope you would choose another Xtina related name by following the directions below. (see our blocking and username policies for more information).
You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username. Wikipedia:Username provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account.
You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may appeal on your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.
If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add ((unblock-un|your new username here)) to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. hello dirtychristian,
i noticed that you changed the ranking of the Philippines for Figure skating from 4 to a an en dash (-). i just want to take note that there is no such ranking in the Asian Games as a dash. also, take note, there were only 3 NOCs which were able to garner medals in the said discipline, that makes each and every medalless NOCs tied to the number 4 rank in figure skating. also, i wanted to take note that you weren't able to use the edit summary box, which makes other editors easily see what you've edited; there weren't any discussion points raised on the article's talk page either. i reverted your edit back to ranking number 4 for the Philippines in Figure skating. for any questions, please feel free to contact me on my talk page. thanks and happy editing. --RebSkii 19:35, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi, oh thanks, it's great here in Wikipedia that we can check on each other's work. Thanks, for the information about San Isidro, Davao del Norte. It should belong to the 1st district. You could have just transferred it though. For the population normally I just add the population of the barangays that compose the new municipality from the data available from the NSO website. If you want I'll just do it.
For Maguindanao and Surigao del Norte, this COMELEC Resolution 7813 amends COMELEC Resolution 7801 and states both Maguindanao and Surigao del Norte still have 2 districts each, despite provinces being carved out from them. I don't know now which municipalities are in either districts. For Shariff Kabunsuan it's a lone district. I can give you a rough map of Shariff Kabunsuan province if you need one, however I guess it has to be updated with the creation of Northern Kabuntalan, we still don't even have a map for Datu Blah T. Sinsuat.
Hope I was of help. Ü —Scorpion prinz 07:13, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Some districts are actually too small to be seen in a national map. If I can make a few recommendations though, maybe the inset of the province where the district is located will replace the Metro Manila map inset instead. Also, Scarborough Shoal and Sabah takes too much prominence in the map (i think it's better to have them labeled that way in a national map, rather than a legislative representation map). And I think a label like 14th Congress of the Philippines is necessary, since this would be most relevant for the upcoming congress. —Scorpion prinz 07:42, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
If you still got the patience for my "OCness" you might want to readjust Manila's borders, refer to the new map of Manila laboriously done by seav. If you were to examine closely, La Loma Cemetery to the north is NOT part of Manila, to the south a small strip of CCP Complex land belongs to Manila, refer to [1]. Thanks for uploading Image:11th sea games.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks for uploading Image:12th sea games.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 06:02, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:12th sea games.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the ((GFDL-self-no-disclaimers)) tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as ((non-free fair use in|article name)) or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:02, 19 May 2007 (UTC). Dear Christian, I just came across your beautiful map of Filipino election districts. It's a pity I didn't find it BEFORE I spent several days assembling one of my own, but I'm pleased that your data largely agree with mine. Can I ask:
Thanks Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 07:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
I have emailed COMELEC several times but they never answer. It's sad that the Philippines is the only democratic country in the world for which it is impossible to obtain election statistics. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 03:37, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Here are my finished maps. Your comments welcome. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 04:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I have now had a response from COMELEC saying they will try to find the figures for me. We will see. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 12:38, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I remember you saying long ago that you got a base map by taking screen captures from Google Maps... could you send me this map, if possible? My email address is mpgonzalez@gmail.com, or you could just upload it to Wikipedia. I was going to make my own map by doing the same thing with Google Maps but now it has roads and city labels. :/ TheCoffee (talk) 02:22, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:3rd seap games.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

This is not an official logo, this logo is created by a freelance graphic designer of "Kementerian Desain Indonesia" which only proposed and suggested their idea. For the real logo there was the logo contest being held in Indonesia by Indonesian Olympic Commitee with deadline of logo design submission in 30 November 2009. Here's the link: http://www.olympic.or.id/index.php/section/news/cid/1/nid/281. The real (winner of the contest) logo has not being published yet. (Gunkarta (talk) 16:47, 14 December 2009 (UTC))

A tag has been placed on File:Legislative districts of the Philippines (coloured).PNG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello Dakilang Isagani, I'm contacting you because we need some Tagalog translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on tl.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Tagalog Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 18:15, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi Isagani! I saw that you made changes to my entry on Mambukal. Thanks for the edits, I had a hard time simplifying it, so thank you. BUT I would like to dispute your removal of Mambukal's reference as a township. If you read Republic Act No. 1964, s. 1957, the area is legally-designated as a "townsite," the same designation as those areas that eventually became towns, eg. a township. Provincial ordinances and Murcia municipal council resolutions, especially those authored by my father before, calls the area a "township" and that certain municipal resolution calls "for the abolishment of the Mambukal Township and reverting territorial jurisdiction back to the Municipality of Murcia." I am not yet in Negros, so I cannot secure a copy, but I can.
As a township, Mambukal as a resort does not pay payables or taxes to the Murcia LGU, rather, it's collected as its own and sent directly to the coffers of the province, like any town would. See the fiscal records of Mambukal, the township and resort have different legal designations. The law was not repealed nor ammended in the LGU code, the code simply does not mention a township as an area with a government structure, but nevertheless does not abolish existing townships. I want to highlight it as a legal anomaly, where a township does in fact still exist in the Philippines. I have consulted a friend in the Capitol to fact check items I mentioned here, no dispute given. RepublicaNegrense (talk) 02:43, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
See this legal document, a contract between the City of Bago and the TOWNSHIP of Mambukal. http://www.bagocity.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/resolutions/2009/09-460.pdf RepublicaNegrense (talk) 04:01, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Saw your edits. Mambukal as a township is already explained by the former acting governor in this article: http://www.visayandailystar.com/archives.visayandailystar.com/2007/August/11/topstory7.htm. I will accept some of your edits but will return some articles. Mambukal as a hill station was constituted already under Commonwealth laws, NOT the American insular laws. Also, RA 1964 reiterates its status as a township. Please refrain from doing further edits, I will refer this article for semi-protection. RepublicaNegrense (talk) 09:55, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

US Banknote Contest | ||

November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |
