Everyone! No Wikipedia editing experience is necessary; there will be tutorials and experienced editors who will be happy to help. (If you are unfamiliar with Wikipedia, it's easy to get started with this guided tutorial.)
Sorry you can't join us - check out our WikiLA page for more ways to stay in touch - we're trying to get more events going in SoCal. Blervis (talk) 16:57, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Blervis, I'm new to this and would like to attend, but I may only be able to for a couple hours. Would this be alright? Heythereshaniya (talk) 23:42, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Of course! Come as long or as short as you like - we’ll have a brief introduction and then will be editing/learning/chatting the rest of it.
Penny Richards (talk) 16:55, 14 August 2024 (UTC)--I don't do indoor events, but I live in Redondo and added myself to the dashboard; if you want an experienced editor at an outdoor table, I might could do that.[reply]
Penny - so sorry to get back to you so late - there is a picnic table and chairs on a patio right outside the event space! Come on down - we'd love to have you! Blervis (talk) 16:44, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Penny, if you're here right now would love to chat - I'm a beginner editor who has been editing casually for a few years and is interested in learning how to create articles! E Billie (talk) 19:08, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yo! I'm fully planning on being there on Saturday. I don't have much experience with editing on Wikipedia but I know a decent bit about the website just from how often I use it and I have some limited experience with HTML/CSS. I plan on studying how to edit and such at least a little bit before I show up, though. I want to help as much as I can! Looking forward to this!
