Hello JaGa, first, excuse me for my poor engish.
I work on french wikipedia for solving Disambiguation pages. Actually, this list is generate by using dump on wikimedia. We use a Perl script to analyze the dump but this script is no longer working. This script was written several years ago and nobody is able to fix it. This way to generate disambiguation pages list is not easy and I think I'm the only one on french WP to know how to do.
My question is simple : is it possible to use dplbot tools to generate this list for french WP ? we only need a list with the name of the disambiguation page and the number of links.
I don't know how dplbot tools work and if it's easy to do. I just ask.
You can contact me here. Thanks Leag (talk) 07:57, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi,
Greetings,
I received a bot notification from your bot about linking a disambiguation page namely Islamic Reformism in the article Superstitions in Muslim societies.
Now concept of Islamic Reformism has two main opposing ends one is orthodox revivalism the other opposite end is modernist, and then there is a middle ones called liberals and progressives.
As far as author of sourced text is concerned he is referring to all the three as a single basket (without differentiating much since he does not need to) in this particular referenced sentence. " ...Zadeh says, the process of modernization in Muslim world, with its grounding in European colonialism and post-Enlightenment thought, as well as in Islamic Reformism, has contested and reconfigured many historical and traditional practices, often viewed them as being ignorance and superstitious..."
So I prefer to retain link of disambiguation page Islamic Reformism as is, even though I do not know actual Wikipedia rules in this respect. Can we continue the link as is ? Requesting your guidance in this particular respect.
Thanks and warm regards

@R'n'B and R'n'B: Thanks for your valuable inputs. For a month or so I will leave it un linked and after a month I will link to dab page option and make mention on article talk page with reason. As of now article talk page is busy with multiple topics so I will do it after a month or so. It was very nice of you. Thanks again and warm regards Bookku (talk) 15:08, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Firstly, if TDL is no longer your tool, please accept my apologies and pass this message on (with a request to change its contact info). Thank you for updating the FIX links to use Dispenser's IP address rather than the dead domain. Something has changed again: https: access now hangs consistently (expired certificate?) but http: still works. Please can you remove the s from https://69.142.160.183? Similar tools may also be affected. (I could hack it with TamperMonkey, but this way should work for everyone.) Thanks, Certes (talk) 19:56, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi. I just received a message from DPL Bot stating that I had incorrectly linked to a disambiguation page. I checked the page - Gold-ringed tanager - and found that the link is to the page Cordillera Occidental (Colombia) and not to the disambiguation page Cordillera Occidental. So in this case the bot did not work correctly. Just wanted to let you know. Adaptivity77 (talk) 15:37, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi Jaga. I hope you are doing well and staying safe during these times! Apologize to bother and posting a random request. I have just started to work on a stub (Fontainea Venosa)and had added some sections. Knowing your expertise, I would love if you can help me to review and left a comment on what I can do to improve my edits. Your bots posted a message on top of the page saying that the article had some links that led to ambiguation pages. I had tried to fix this but could not find a way to get rid of the message on top.
Would you be able to help me to provide feedback on this? But no pressure if you are busy. That is completely fine and understandable :) Hope to hear from you soon. The article is Fontainea Venosa
Thank you so much :) Sparklingkull (talk) 09:49, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello DPLbot. I just now changed the page you told me about. Sorry for the inconvenience, I forgot about disambiguation pages. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sincereduck (talk • contribs) 06:32, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Hello JaGa,
I got a message from you bot about a link I put up. The message said that PSU needed to be listed as disambiguation, so I went in right away and included that in the link. Hope that fixed it :) Updatewithfacts (talk) 06:12, 12 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello sir. I am a CA student and I have qualified my M.com from Banaras Hindu university . I love editing facts and figures related to politics here at Wikipedia and I can take care of it if you all give me a chance. I can't stop myself from editing these facts. I waste all my time seeing these facts and editing them. I wish to get a job here so I can earn something Ashutosh singh 761980 (talk) 17:04, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
Please fix the link on the Betsy Ross Flag article to link to the page for Washington Crossing the Delaware. I think that page has additional words on it. I didn't know what to do. Thanks so much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fran Featherston (talk • contribs) 20:08, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
A recently closed Request for Comment (RFC) reached consensus to remove Autopatrolled from the administrator user group. You may, similarly as with Edit Filter Manager, choose to self-assign this permission to yourself. This will be implemented the week of December 13th, but if you wish to self-assign you may do so now. To find out when the change has gone live or if you have any questions please visit the Administrator's Noticeboard. 20:06, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

This month, we'll go from September 2019 through the end of the year. I won't bore you with further introductions — instead, I'll bore you with a newsletter about bots. Overall

Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Welcome to the ninth issue of the English Wikipedia's Bots Newsletter, your source for all things bot. Vicious bot-on-bot edit warring... superseded tasks... policy proposals... these stories, and more, are brought to you by Wikipedia's most distinguished newsletter about bots. After a long hiatus between August 2019 and December 2021, there's quite a bit of ground to cover. Due to the vastness, I decided in December to split the coverage up into a few installments that covered six months each. Some people thought this was a good idea, since covering an entire year in a single issue would make it unmanageably large. Others thought this was stupid, since they were getting talk page messages about crap from almost three years ago. Ultimately, the question of whether each issue covers six months or a year is only relevant for a couple more of them, and then the problem will be behind us forever. Of course, you can also look on the bright side – we are making progress, and this issue will only be about crap from almost two years ago. Today we will pick up where we left off in December, and go through the first half of 2020. Overall January 2020
February 2020
March 2020
April 2020
May 2020

Regarding this edit by a user ostensibly to stop DPL bot from tagging the page -- 1) does this actually work and 2) does DPL bot include non-article links when determining whether to add the template? older ≠ wiser 19:11, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
Template:KYOVAWikiProject-Member-large has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the entry on the Templates for discussion page. Nigej (talk) 06:33, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
The DPL bot recently flagged an edit I made. I believe it to be a false positive, in the sense that the link's target is deliberately a disambiguation page: it refers further to two distinct-but-very-close concepts, neither of which quite matches the usage for which I added the link.
The bot's behaviour seems entirely fine to me, but I'd like to know whether there is a way to annotate the link so the bot ignores the false positive. If not, is it fine to simply ignore the notification, or is there somewhere a list of pages-with-dablinks that may mislead someone into “fixing” the link?
(Generally, I believe the “proper” fix for this situation would be to rework the disambiguation page, to introduce the general concept, and cross-link with existing pages about more-specific concepts; that's more long-term, though, and a lot more editing work than I can presently commit to.)
Thanks a lot for making the bot, it's a good wiki helper and does its best, even though sometimes humans are too complicated for its beepy brains. 💜 nicoo (talk) 15:54, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Could i ask that you could fix your archive page User talk:JaGa/Archive 11? Its currently falling under Category:Pages using deprecated enclose attributes. All you need to do is replace the enclose=none
attributes with inline
. If possible, could you also change the tags from <source>
to <syntaxhighlight>
in line with Category:Pages using deprecated source tags? Thanks. Aidan9382 (talk) 14:56, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
