I have created a couple barnstars for editors of Pakistan-related articles. Proposals for their names are required. Also leave your opinion about both of these stars:

Please leave your comments about the quality of Allama Mashriqi at its talk page. Szhaider 06:47, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Normally, DYK isn't really an achievement which projects show off, as most DYKs remain B-Class or Start-class and some contain very few references. DYK is just an occurence where a decent sized article is written within 5 days of creation. — Nobleeagle [TALK] [C] 00:34, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
The article Sport in Pakistan is in need of major help! I've been watching it for a while and it is a frequently vandalized article. I just thought I'd post here to bring it to your attention. Thanks - Ozzykhan 19:32, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
The article is currently on VfD. Could someone take a look here? TIA Pavel Vozenilek 11:38, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Who drafted it? Yahya01 (talk · contribs) claims it was Muhammad Zafrulla Khan while a little later in the article, it claimed Sikandar Hayat Khan. Both of the info have references beside them, but only one of them can be true. So, who was it? --Ragib 16:35, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Is there any project page for Pakistan military articles. I have also created some articles related Pakistan Military —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sulaimandaud (talk • contribs) 04:42, 3 April 2007 (UTC).
Since the Durand Line deals with the demarcating line and international border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, I suggest this topic be also added to WikiProject Pakistan as well.
Some of the latter paragraphs I have seen tend to show more of the Afghanistan viewpoint without sufficient backing whatsoever and revisiting the 1893 agreement, as well as the greyish stature and history of the Khanate of Kalat, which some people put it as something which guaranteed Balochistan independence and making it something separate and special from the Indian Independance Act of 1947 is something a bit too difficult to believe given the status of Jammu & Kashmir and Hyderabad Deccan that were even more prominent princely states and yet they had to choose or were forcibly made to choose which country to join. It doesnt add up seeing the Khanate of Kalat being anything different as NO princely state was allowed independance - as far as I know - so essentially the Khan of Kalat had to choose and he went against the act and hence gave Pakistan legitimate claim of taking action, similar to what India did in Jammu & Kashmir, Junagadh, Hyderabad Deccan and many many other princely states. Why all the finger pointing on Pakistan then ?
I suggest more research in these matters as both issues arent completely black & white, rather with heavy shades of grey prevalant. Peace to all Suprah™ 13:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey check out this article National Engineering and Scientific Commission. This article has been changed and see what's in it.§Sulaimandaud 14:47, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
I would like to invite you all to participate in a discussion at this thread regarding bilateral relations between two countries. All articles related to foreign relations between countries are now under the scope of WikiProject Foreign relations, a newly created project. We hope that the discussion will result in a more clean and organized way of explaining such relationships. Thank you. Ed ¿Cómo estás? 18:10, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
this article was tagged for proposed deletion as original research. The information seems pretty basic (number of schools, literacy rate etc.) but it is unsourced. And notable, so I hope someone can work on it and save it. Scarykitty 07:15, 9 April 2007 (UTC) It will be worked upon.
Please see WP:GA and have a look at the existing artciles before adding any title to the list, as GA is a peer-review process. --IslesCapeTalk 19:02, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
There's been copyright problems with this article before; most recently, unreferenced accusations have been added. While I will continue to watch the article, some general additions to its content might also greatly help it. Maybe one of you feels he could add a bit!? Thanks, Ibn Battuta 23:41, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
The South Asian WikiProjects have been tremendously productive, which I congratulate you for, and I just wanted to let you know that we're very close to meeting the criteria for a Featured topic covering the countries of the region. Please see Wikipedia talk:Featured topics#Great potential for South Asian countries featured topic. Thanks.--Pharos 03:56, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello! I have expanded the article Field hockey at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Is it possible, that Abdul Qayyum Khan played in this tournament for Pakistan? I have found a player with exact the same name. Thanks in advance. Doma-w 23:32, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
The article Altaf Hussain gets hit almost daily with POV edits like this one. Some edits look like they have some good information, but nonetheless look quite POVish and I'm reluctant to simply revert. I think the article would greatly benefit from someone a little more familiar with this subject than me, so I'd appreciate it if others would want to watch over it. Thanks! -SpuriousQ (talk) 12:48, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello from WP:TENNIS! I've found two articles on the same Pakistani tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi. I'd like to merge the two, but I don't know which is the correct capitalization, and a google search was inconclusive. Thanks for your input. Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 21:09, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

As part of the Notability wikiproject, I am trying to sort out whether Khalid Irfan is notable enough to have its own article. I would appreciate an expert opinion. If you can spare some time, please add your comments to the article's talk page. Thanks! --B. Wolterding 13:41, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
The article on Ejaz Haider has been nominated for speedy deletion on the grounds that there is no assertion of notability. Anybody have any opinions on whether this article should be kept or not?

I've expanded Pakistani general election, 2007 quite a bit. However, being Dutch and not knowing much about Pakistan, I'm not entirely sure it's entirely accurate or neutral. Perhaps people here could take a look. Cheers, JACOPLANE • 2007-07-9 19:29
I think it's high time we had an article dedicated to the expat Pakistani population, which not only is huge in number, but have been quite sucessful and a driving force in the economic revival of Pakistan. It's long overdue! We currently have seperate topics on Pakistani Americans & Pakistani Canadians as well as British Pakistanis, but we have no one true article to sum it all up. Anyone interested?

We should avoid listing a host of articles. Especially if an article was recognised before tagging the project, there is no reason for adding it onto the page.--IslesCapeTalk 10:16, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi there. As part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Red Link Recovery I came across the article about Junejo and the broken link was about Jam. I normally don't simply add a missing parenthesis without at least checking if there's a more appropriate link. In researching this, I found Jam (tribe) which from the context could have been what should be linked to. It then occurred to me that if those two articles are essentially about the same topic that they probably should be merged. However, I don't have enough knowledge to make that determination, and as both articles are about Pakistan, I figured I should bring it to the attention of this project. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 08:24, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
There is an article titled Jhudo which is apparently about a place in Pakistan, but the article needs some significant improvement. If anyone is interested, I would encourage them to take a look. --Metropolitan90 06:37, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
I have added template ((POV)) to the page to flag it for reviewing as per criteria stated under WP:NPOV. Anyone interested in the discussion may respond to it on the article's Talk Page. UzEE (Talk • Contribs) 00:08, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi. I happend on Harnai in my travels, and it looks like it could use some attention, and I know nothing of Pakistani politics, so I'll leave it to the experts. Have a good day. - CosmicPenguin (Talk) 06:14, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Kindly note that a Pakistan company, the Cresent Group is being reviewed for deletion. The article is in great need of independent references that would establish the company's notability under the guidelines WP:CORP. You can add content to the article or add your suggestions to the debate. --Gavin Collins 13:18, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

A new user, Anwaar gilani (talk · contribs), has created two articles, Muzaffar Warsi and Syed Anwaar Gilani. It is possible that the user is Syed Anwaar Gilani himself. This might create certain issues per WP:AUTO and WP:COI. I would like to ask the users of this Notice board, who know a lot more about Pakistan than me, to assess and improve the articles and, if possible and necessary, to guide the new user. I made a new article about Overseas Pakistanis. Please correct any mistakes which I may have made. Thanks.

Some folks might know about WikiPakistan, a Wikia devoted to Pakistan. I have created pages there on the current situation.
http://pakistan.wikia.com/wiki/Emergency_2007
We now have an organized page devoted to Detainees (alphabetically, by location, and just raw updates), Events, and new pages related to personal testimonies (whose index needs to be a separate page now, I guess).
There's much to do if anyone can contribute. --iFaqeer 10:47, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Kalmati is in serious need of help. It's almost unreadable in it's current state. I was just visiting to disambiguate and don't know much about the subject. I list it here because the article says that Kalmati is a Baloch tribe which is part of this project, although the Kalmati page is not, yet. --Steven J. Anderson (talk) 06:34, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes all three exist, carrying different project-banners for WikiProject Ethnic groups, WikiProject Cold War, WikiProject Pakistan and WikiProject Bangladesh. I have proposed a merger of all three, but what would the title be? As soon we can decide on the title, I can volunteer to do the merging. I am posting to all of the WikiProjects for a solution, but it would be better to have a centralized discussion. Aditya(talk • contribs) 13:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

The article hare coursing includes the following at hare coursing#In other countries:
According to the UK Government's Burns Inquiry, open coursing (UK style) takes place in Spain and park coursing (Irish style) takes place in Portugal. Coursing also takes place in Pakistan. Hare coursing is illegal in most other European countries.

Can anyone in this wikiproject find any sources describing the existence, notability or debate on hare coursing in Pakistan? Thank you.
