The United States fielded a full-squad of eight artistic swimmers to compete in the open team and women's duet event, by topping the list of five highest rank nations, not yet qualified, at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar.
U.S. track and field athletes achieved the entry standards for Paris 2024, either by passing the direct qualifying mark (or time for track and road races) or by world ranking, in the following events (a maximum of 3 athletes each):[3]

US entered five boxers into the Olympic tournament. Jajaira Gonzalez qualified herself to Paris in lightweight division by advancing to the semifinals round at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
United States entered a breakdancer to compete in the B-Boy dual battles for Paris 2024. Victor Montalvo (Victor) qualified for the games following the victory of his gold medal results at the 2023 World Championships in Leuven, Belgium.[9] Sunny Choi (Sunny) qualified for the games following the victory of her gold medal results at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.[10]
United States entered a team of five road cyclists (three male and two female). US qualified three male and two female athletes through the UCI Nation Ranking and 2023 World Championships in Glasgow, Great Britain.[14]
U.S. mountain bikers secured a women's quota place in the Olympic cross-country race by topping the field of nations vying for qualification at the 2023 Pan American Championships in Congonhas, Brazil.
U.S. riders received a single quota place in the men's BMX race for Paris 2024 by topping the field of nations vying for qualification at the 2023 Pan American Championships in Riobamba, Ecuador.
U.S. divers secured two quota places each in the men's synchronized springboard and women's synchronized platform for Paris 2024 by attaining a top-three finish from the list of nations eligible for qualification at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.[16][17] The nations also secured two quota places through the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar.

US secured the quota in the individual event, by virtue of the nation's results, through the nation's silver medal result, at the 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile.
The United States qualified one gymnast for the women's trampoline competition at Paris 2024 by finishing in the top eight at the 2023 World Championships in Birmingham, Great Britain.[28]
US modern pentathletes confirmed a single quota place for Paris 2024. Jessica Davis secured one of two available spots for North, Central and Caribean American in the women's event at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.[29]

U.S. shooters achieved quota places for the following events based on their results at the 2022 and 2023 ISSF World Championships, 2022 and 2024 Championships of the Americas, 2023 Pan American Games, and 2024 ISSF World Olympic Qualification Tournament.[32] The U.S. shooting squad will be named based on the aggregate scores obtained by the shooters at two stages of the 2023–2024 Olympic Trials (fall and spring).
US qualified three climbers for the olympic games. Colin Duffy and Emma Hunt qualified for Paris in men’s combined and women’s speed, after winning silver at the 2023 World Championships in Bern, Switzerland. Meanwhile, Piper Kelly, Samuel Watson, and Jesse Grupper qualified for Paris in women's speed, men’s speed, and men’s combined after winning gold at the 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile.[33]
U.S. qualified five surfers (three female and two male) to Tahiti. First quota was awarded after successfully winning the women's team event at the 2022 ISA World Surfing Games in Huntington Beach, California, and the other three quotas were awarded after finishing among the top eight (women) and top ten (men) of those eligible for qualification in the 2023 World Surf League rankings.[34]
U.S. swimmers achieved the entry standards in the following events for Paris 2024 (a maximum of two swimmers under the Olympic Qualifying Time (OST) and potentially at the Olympic Consideration Time (OCT)):[35] To assure their selection to the U.S. team, swimmers must finish in the top two of each individual pool event under the Olympic qualifying cut at the 2024 United States Olympic Trials (June 15–23, 2024) in Indianapolis, Indiana.[36]
United States entered full-squad of women's athletes into the table tennis competition at the games, by virtue of the top two results in the women's team competition through the 2023 Pan American Table Tennis Championship in Havana, Cuba.
United States qualified one athlete to compete at the games. Carl Nickolas qualified for Paris 2024 by virtue of finishing within the top five in the Olympic rankings in his respective division.
The United States qualified seven wrestlers for each of the following classes into the Olympic competition. All of them qualified for the games by virtue of their top five results in their respective division, through the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.[40][41]
