The 2024 Reigate and Banstead Borough Council election will take place on 2 May 2024 to elect members of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council in Surrey, England.[1] This will be on the same day as other local elections.

Background

The council has been under no overall control since 2024, when the Conservative Councillor Zelanie Cooper stepped away from the party.[2]

The first elections to the council were held in 1973, initially operating as a shadow authority alongside the outgoing authorities until the new arrangements came into effect on 1 April 1974. Political control of the council since 1974 has been as follows:[3][4]
