1D-LSD (1-(1,2-dimethylcyclobutane-1-carbonyl)-lysergic acid diethylamide) is a psychotropic substance and a research chemical that has potential psychedelic effects.[1] It is believed to be a prodrug for LSD and has replaced 1V-LSD in Germany after 1V-LSD became covered by the German NpSG law in 2022.[2][unreliable source?] It is also available as tartrate.[3]

Legality

Germany

Currently 1D-LSD is neither covered by the German BTMG nor the NpSG law and can thus be sold for research, recreacional purposes, industrial purposes and medical purposes and the drug is sold legally in headshops, convenience stores, grocery stores and smartshops in Germany like a legal drug in the same way that alcohol, tobacco and caffeine.[4] The German expert committee for narcotics has, in a meeting on December 4, 2023, suggested to add 1D-LSD to the NpSG.[5] This recommendation has to date not been enacted by the Federal Government, although this is a little likely to occur in February of 2024.

Austria

According to the current legal situation, 1D-LSD is neither explicitly mentioned in the Narcotic Drugs Ordinance nor in the Psychotropic Substances Ordinance (SV/PV), thus it is neither to be classified as a narcotic drug in the sense of the SV nor as a psychotropic substance in the sense of the PV.
